Fantastic lesson man! I have been basically a rythym player for 40 years. I'm always stuck in the pentatonic boxes it seems when it comes to lead. I honestly can say I think you are the best guitar instructor on CZcams.
Figuring out where all BC and EF notes are the best way learn the neck. They act as landmarks for different modes so you can break out of the pentatonic and start sounding more like Jerry Garcia.
@@tjames6427 Thank you so much!!!
He accidentally played lenny kravitz' "fly away"
40 years?? Just give up at this point 😂
You are doing great speaking and showing information about learning lead on guitar. You don't bore us with a lot of nonsensical talking that many do, but you only speak to describe what a person should do.....Great Job!!
I heard the CCR and Zeppelin as you were explaining the approach. This really opened my eyes (ears) to sounds I thought only the masters knew. You pulled back the curtains, thank you.
Just always remember these greats were mostly all kids or teenagers when they were learning how to do this stuff. If they can do it literally anyone can
Rhythm Guitarists when they realise chords are made up of notes:
yeah but chords are way easier
I hate to admit it, but you make music theory fun! Thanks!
Thanks a stack for that easy to follow and very helpful lesson and soloing ebook. I`m a singer who plays a bit of guitar for fun off stage. You`ve added a whole new level of enjoyment for me. Thanks!!
Im struggling with both rhythm and solos
As a strumming guitarist, I was looking to start solo lesson and was confused from where to start. You are a legend man.
Just the lesson I have been looking for!! Many thanks!

Danke! Eine super Lektion, die einem zeigt, was man eigentlich kann, es aber nur noch nicht wusste. Und, dass weniger Töne zu spielen oft mehr ist. Weiter so!

I’m that guy. The Rhythm guy trying to expand his skill set. I’m not unfamiliar with the concepts you are discussing but this is the simplest most succinct explanation I’ve seen. Excellent lesson! Really!
A guitar 🎸 who played chords ( = several notes played at the same time) that provide the rhythm of a piece of music 🎼 especially while a singer sings , or other musicians play, the main tune.

Got a gig bag full of great help. I hit like and sub
Excellent!
That‘s what you actually do a lot when you‘re the only guitar player in a band. Just listen to Jimmi. 😄
You also do it when you‘re comping - backing a soloist rhythmically without getting in his way.
Fantastic
Excelent!
Your good men! Love it just learn something new
Fantastic! New sub. ❤
This is the first time someone has explained it in a way I understand. Makes em want to pick up a guitar again
Thats what I love to hear!
VERY GOOD ❤
Thanks for the lesson. I liked the double stops in the A-C-G-D progression, Reminiscent of Jeff Buckley's - Last Goodbye. Really nice.
Love love love this lesson Eddie. Lead me to more that will help my lead guitar goal please. :) :)
Very kool man. I dig the simplicity of this progression BUT can also be a little more complex if one wants to explore. I stopped the lesson halfway through to snag me guitar and fumble around some.
Love to hear this cheers
I hope to do the same here too cheers
The double stops and triads shapes change w Maj minor 7th etc chord shapes to match which is partial modal theory as well.
Thanks
Double thumbs 👍 up
Little bit listening..but GREAT..
I should follow you.. one day...in my leashur time...
👍🖐✋
Kenneth from Sri Lanka 🙏🏽

This was an awesome lesson. Maybe your best ever. What effect or distortion are you using and or what can you recommend for a beginner/???intermediate student?
great lesson, thanks, incidentally, your Fender looks a lot like a 1960s Yamaha sg3 i used to own years ago.
Another great lesson. Could also be titled: "expanding your soloing with chord tones".
Eddie always with the best lessons. GOAT 🐐 🎸 Thanks Eddie H, for another inspirational lesson on how to get better at playing guitar and progressing levels ❤
Appreciate the support!

can someone please clarify to me smth? when he said play the 6 did he mean the sixth of the scale or the sixth of the third (root)
Moving it to different positions or literally moving it to different positions.
What's the difference?
Must be able to rip scales and do 120bpm 16th note sweep arpeggios.
Ya mon.
👍👍👍
I just can't get away
Sometimes you only need couple words to connect all the things we learned for years. Once you understand how professionals play you see its full of simple tricks and concepts.
yes dayı
You look and sounds like John McCrea the lead singer of Cake.
