Good video as always. This stuff is very visible and attractively priced in places like Halfords and supermarkets, so no doubt it’s gonna be the kind of thing that ‘new to detailing’ types pick up - myself included with some of the products. It’s easy for viewers here and elsewhere to be snobby because often when you’re so immersed in a hobby or job, it’s hard to remember a time when you were new to it and didn’t know your Demon from your Bilt Hamber. So good job giving everything a decent shot and nice to see Demon Shine getting a nod - it’s my guilty pleasure in detailing and always does a quick and decent job! I’d be amazed if there’s any product of any type on the market which has better performance for the price.

Great video as per usual. The kit is perfect for an eco car like a little city car that you’re not too worried about swirls and non-pH neutral products or something like a beater that you like keeping a bit clean but these aren’t aimed at the weekend detailers who would spend £20 on a single product as opposed to a whole kit.

Great review. I've had the snowfoam with the gun attachment. Worth a try and the product works well in my opinion the foam does well to roll loose dirt off but as you said the gun is no replacement for a Lance. Also uses a lot of product to get the desired effect. 4 washes and I've used the full thing. I've bought the alloy cleaner and with 2 applications both after rinse and after scrub does a good job. Is enough for me but overall I definitely think you've got the verdict right though. Cheers again

Have been using the Demon Shine for a while, picked it up cheap at Lidl (for a few squid!). Really easy to apply while the car is still slightly wet and seals the paint up, if only for a week or two. Keeps the car nice over the winter when the weather is poor, and I am less keen. Wouldn't entertain the other products though.

Quick detailer is great as a cheap drying aid as it seems to help dry with no drying marks even in sunlight. Always amazes me as it shouldn't work for £4 but it does!! I’d love to see a good all round kit Jon that was not budget focused specifically but not earth shattering. Something that had performance at heart for a complete detail. Basically something that a new detailers can put together as a jumping off point and know they have performance without overspending.
Then they can chop and change as they go. Just something that works straight away and isn’t ridiculous costings.
I know you’ve done endless videos on all the components but maybe your best of the bunch amateurs to pro starter kit.

So glad you had something positive to say about demon shine, as a weekend warrior it was the first finishing spray I bought having to ‘detail’ myself due to Covid restrictions over s year ago…. Bottle is nearly empty now having lasted over a year, (I have been experimenting with other products too, hence why it’s lasted so long) I won’t be buying it again, but for beginners who don’t want to spend a fortune on premium products, it’s absolutely perfect.

its good, drys to a silky smooth finish, the shine on the car is good, fresh detailed look. it does feel a bit budget but I could happily use this stuff and the value is good. this kit is a good thing for 19 quid. but there are compramises really I could slate it and say its cheap. but its you have to expect a bit of this. for the money this kit is usable and great value.

The quick detailer is a good drying aid, and leaves a good shine. I used it on glass with no adverse effect. It is £5 a bottle when bought separately. I wasn't impressed with any of the other stuff really. I have tons of g101 left so the apc will be sat in my garage for years to come. Wheel cleaner is OK for light dirt, and the wheel shine is ok again for a weekly touch up. I think its better priced at £12.99 mark

Hi guys just for those of you that don't know the browning on the tyres is a common problem that occurs when you don't clean the tyres and then follow up with a dressing or protectant of some kind. It's a process that happens due to a element added into the tyre called antiozonant,it's to slow the premature cracking from the tyre getting too dry from oxidation.

I've tried and use a lot of these products so for anyone interested:
    1) Snowfoam: is a decent product if used as a Snowfoam in a lance but down side to get a good lather you need to have about 250ml per car so can run out easy.
    2) Demon shine: As said in video is a good product for price well as a detailer and also is a pretty good as a hydrophobic spray wax, water beads very well.
    3) Wheel cleaner is not great at all better of getting the Carplan trade TFR cleaner a lot stronger but use it concentrated.
    4) Tyre shine - is not great either, again you can use Car plan tyre slik or Carplan super trim cleaner. They work a lot better

In summary it is a car yard product to get it sold and to the corner before it dissappears.
Looks a good collection of empty spray bottles to mix your own.
I "have" used the shine as part of a midweek snow foam to assist dry but don't let your microfibre semi dry. It can affect future absorbancy.

I might have found a use for Demon Tyres...... I've used it to dress my engine bay after cleaning. Spray on and wipe off, seems to work fine on hard plastics and keeps hoses looking nice and black. I never use it on tyres as it looks kinda cheap and never lasts anyway so at least I've found a way to use it and free up some space on the shelf!

All of those products can be picked up under the "Carplan: Trade Valet" range, a lot are in undiluted state. I really rate "Demon Shine/Hi Wax Rinse" as a rinse off drying aid and can get 5 litres for £6, the "Hi Wax Rinse" version is also MUCH stronger than the spray bottle dilution of Demon Shine too, as it instructs a 40:1 dilution ratio. Have a look on CZcams for a bloke using Demon Shine on his MX5, works well. It works better a little stronger and as it's stupidly cheap I tend to be fairly generous in diluting it. Demon Clean/Carplan Trade Valet Super Clean 100+" is actually pretty good too. A friend uses it for nasty work vans in the fish industry and it does well considering the price.

These are probably the sort of products that the likes of a bloke called Gerald (other names are also available) who proudly washes 'The Old Girl' every weekend regardless. I have used the snow foam in a snow foam attachment for my pressure washer. Nothing impressive, but it is what it is. I have yet to use the detailer and tyre shine. Not really what you would use to keep your car perfect for the long term (I'd probably use the sponge in the bath) but probably better than the £3 'Wash and Scratch' merchant at the local supermarket / former petrol station forecourt, plus you don't have to drive there & wait in a queue! Happy Valeting ☺

Regarding the bottles... I have a snowfoam cannon that works well but over time, the thread on the bottle wore thin and stripped the thread. I searched my shelves and found an old Demon clean bottle with not much product remaining and it had a matching thread. One clean out later and the bottle works perfectly as a snow cannon bottle. I now have several Demon clean bottles that have been promoted to 'cannon dispensers' and i can set them all up before a wash with snowfoam and A.P.C and interchange at will without wasting time running in and out of the house setting up the products. Just discharge one bottle, unscrew and replace with the next prepared waiting bottle.
The Demon products themselves are pretty tame and safe for almost any use with reasonable results, just dont go expecting significant results from minimal application.

I have a bunch of these Demon products for a quick weekly wash - when I have more time and put more effort in, I’ll use better products.
Couple of things to comment on your video, I only use the APC for inside the car and for that, it works well. Agree about the alloy cleaner, I never use it as it’s really not good. However, the foam shampoo works 10 times better as a snow, so I put it into my jet washer bottle and it literally smothers the whole car in thick foam. I personally wouldn’t use it in a bucket like that.

Jon, good work as always. But I cant seem to stop thinking that your bins must be the cleanest in the whole Britain. You do all your tests on top of them lol.

I always stock up on demon shine when I see it at £4 in ASDA. Saw it in there at £2.50 once. Should have bought their whole stock out. I like it :)

Is the wheel cleaner acidic? I accidently used it to polish the bodywork. I then rinsed it an hour later. Will it rip through the paint work?

Got the demon shine and it is not too bad. Gives a gloss and slickness and seems quite durable too. I tried it on glass and it beads water up decently.

Apparently the Demon Clean (yellow one ) is meant for glass. I haven't tried it though

Can you do a review of EZ car care products? Recently used these and in opinion I think they're good, how ever lots of deals and can be quite cheap. Was just wondering what you made of it!

Well i am wondering if they have changed their formula. I use the demon foam, and its really thick suds, maybe i put more in than i should do. I also rate the demon glass not in the kit but really a great product its that or detol surface cleaner spray, i know but on glass its like magic.
I use the demon wheels for alloys only and seems to work very well with the brake dust removal i then go over the whole wheel with demon foam seems to work great.

So worth buying the shine on its own not bother with the whole kit, my local b&m sells em separately.
