    I've just converted my Ryobi battery washer to quick connects and with the right orifice nozzles it's turned it into an amazing tool. Now I'm playing with foam cannons and I've had to go down to a 0.8 orifice in the cannon to get pretty good foam. Amazing performance from only 600psi.

    I love how buzzin you are over this stuff. I actually quite liked it so I bought the 5 litre trade version and it's a banger. Granted I use a citrus pre wash and bang a layer of this over. But then the best bit is rinse it off, use the Lance to apply another layer then multimitt wash it as it is a shampoo aswell😊. Cheapo but does a nice job even compared to bigger brand stuff I have tried

    I'm new to foam cannons and have a question. Can you put the product in undiluted and then just use the foam cannons mix control to adjust the dilution?

    • @TheHairyHouseWife
      @TheHairyHouseWife  Před měsícem

      You can , however getting the mixture right can be a pain and you will find yourself constantly adjusting, most dilution ratios are set so the cannon can be used without dialing the mixture back , however it can be done ☺️

    I’m so glad I just found your video. I’ve got two of the big containers that are designed to be connected to a hosepipe. I’ve had them since before I got into detailing and they’re a bit pants. You can buy it as Carplan Trade Valet Hi Foam Wash. Also, Demon Shine goes by the name Hi Wax Rinse and is an amazing drying aid. Edit: Don't follow what it says on the bottle of "Hi Wax Rinse". Spray it on, RINSE, then dry. They tell you to dry it with the product still on the car and it's a pain.

    £4.50 a litre(£22.50 for 5l) sounds cheap until you realise that Bilt Hamber Autofoam will do a far better job for the equivalent cost of £3.50 per litre (£17.50 for 5l)

    • @TheHairyHouseWife
      @TheHairyHouseWife  Před 3 lety +2

      I agree entirely, like alot of things in life if you can can efford to shell out £20 pound you may get more product at a cheaper cost per wash price. And bilt hambers Autofoam is a fantastic price for what you get, it's definitely fantastic value when you compare its price against its rivals However some people can't efford that and £4.50 is cheap at the time as they will get around 10 washs for that, and comparing it to most snow foams on the market £4.50 is alot cheaper then alot of snow foams you can buy in its similar size range (I.e meguires 946ml is around £17 quid, Autobrite magifoam is around £9). Again if you can efford to pay £20 then yes bilt hambers is a no brainer but the idea of these cheapie challanges are to find a product that won't break the bank and will have a usable result for amateur detailers on a budget who can maybe efford to pop this on there tesco shop every couple months instead of paying out £20+ in one go, making this product cheap at the point of purchase.

    • @TheHairyHouseWife
      @TheHairyHouseWife  Před 3 lety +2

      Also just to add if you did want this product in 5 litres then you will be paying similar sort of price to bilt hambers Autofoam, however if you buy carplans trade Hi-foam snow foam you can get 5 litres for around £12 and from what I can tell is its pretty much the same product relabled by carplan. Same color, same smell, same cleaning power, same dilution radio. So if people do like this demon foam then that would be the route to take.

    • @TranquilityBaseDetailing
      @TranquilityBaseDetailing Před 3 lety +4

      @@TheHairyHouseWife you're entirely right. Just because it's my mindset to look at the BH option doesn't mean it's gonna suit everyone's need/budget. It does give me a cheapy challenge video idea for you though. Which is the better starter package for a beginner on a budget.
      Cheap lance ~£17 plus £4.50 demon foam or Wilko's pump sprayer ~£2.50 plus 5l of Autofoam. I'd love to see your view point on those choices especially since they are both more or less the same out lay to begin within.

When it dries it leaves a film all over the car which dirt, tar, bugs etc cannot stick to so it all comes off with a wash down. There old tip for a young dog. Would using apc rather than snowfoam work any better to remove dirt?

    • @TheHairyHouseWife
      @TheHairyHouseWife  Před 2 lety +1

      In my opinion the apc will work ad
      Nd won't work, so with an apc it will tend to remove some loose some dirt but the dwell time would be short so it wouldn't loosen up any real ingrained dirt... Most snow foams sit on the bodywork for 5 or more minutes working it's way in to the dirt and helping in shift and loosen.. Apc would dry too quick and doesn't have that foaming action that helps get in to every crevis. Also to get an apc to be effective enough to do the same job as a snowfoam the dilution ratio would be high and it work cost similar if not more then a snowfoam. I'm not saying it wouldn't work Im saying snow foams are probably a better option then an apc.. However you could always use a Citrus Prewash or Idetail pros Prewash spray they are formulated to bite in to road grim and dirt and remove it very quickly.... My personal favourite is idetails Prewash spray,

    How are you impressed with it the second it went on the car before you've seen the cleaning power.. It's also not cheap when you look at cost per wash. Is it a good product no? is it cost affective? no. Is it borderline acceptable in a pinch when you need a product there and then, maybe

    • @TheHairyHouseWife
      @TheHairyHouseWife  Před 3 lety +4

      I was surprised by the foam that it gave, not from the cleaning power once I sprayed it on ... This is down too most small bottles in the £5 range I have used, most have not given much if any foam , and in my eyes I half expected this to just be completely foamless. I also believe I said it COULD be fantastic depending how it cleans not that it was before I'd seen its ability to clean ... And your 100% right there are cheaper options per wash if you buy bigger bottles of others brands ... However these video for cheapie items are for those who may not be able to outlay £20 in one hit for a product and maybe £5 for a product that does an ok job that you can put on your monthly shop ..
      Now this to me has given better results then some of bigger named brands on the market . And altho I only mentioned the price for this size bottle, I have seen the 2ltr bottle for around £8 (about 40p a wash) thats cheap compared to my go to foam which cost me around £1.50 a wash ... Now for a product that does what it says altho it's not fantastic it's usable it will do for majority of at home car cleaners and weekend warriors.
