Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer."

in Breaking Bad, Tyrus was a simple replacement for Victor but now we know he was always there.
Yeah I was surprised that they were together for most part
Wonder where was he throughout the S2-3
Probably collecting those box cutters for Gus
Hector knew him as Gus's guy. He probably wondered where Victor was.
@@MatthewJunco i’d like to think ever since he pulled a gun on Mike. Mike becoming Gus’s right hand man, convinced him to place Tyrus elsewhere. then after Victor’s death Tyrus stepped in.
I guarantee that no one told Victor to take that second shot. he just wanted to after Nacho pulled that gun on him at the drug meet.
They had to make it real.
@@jorge9199 But Victor flew too close to the sun....
Yes, a shot like that could be lethal. In fact Nacho almost died. Gus wouldn't risk losing a valuable asset like Nacho.

With the shell casings so close to the car, one would wonder how Nacho only got hit twice.
rookies might overlook it, but anyone who'd seen a bit of action would fs notice it right away. they shoulda gone across the road or something.
Maybe the cousins would have been more suspicious and done more investigation if nacho didn’t actually get shot at all.
They would think nacho was able to run. That's why they shot him inside the car to let the blood taint the seat and then let him walk a little and then shot him again
Had Lalo investigated he might have noticed that. He hadn't arrived yet tho
I thought about this too, but then I remembered that in the scene prior to this one, they’re driving on the road and dropping glass shards and bullet casings from the window, so it probably wouldn’t look that suspicious.

I like how it’s initially played like Gus suffocated Arturo as a way to freak out Nacho. And while I’m sure that played a part, but here it shows that his motivation was as much to leave the body untainted so they could properly stage this “hit”. Gus really thought 10 steps ahead.
Good thing Gus didn't perform an autopsy
I'm kind of glad that we don't see the planning of these things; Gus acting like a Bond villain and explaining to his henchmen his evil plan step by step:
- you go to the wholesaler and get a trunk full of icepacks; make sure they are the right temperature and the invoice is for Los Pollos Hermanos
- then you will hold down the guy and suffocate him, while you make the other guy watch ...

0:49 God I love that shot of Tyrus aiming his gun at the car with the wind blowing his leather jacket back. It’s so cool
They used a fan, inside the studio
Tyrus has got some style
Viktor and Tyrus have always been two of the most interesting yet cruel and mysterious characters in the Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul universe to me.
Did you even watch the same show as me? Viktor and Tyrus are the most boring typically cruel morally corrupt evil henchmen. They aren't unique in any way.
Theyre the most unlikable characters for me
they're barely characters
I always wondered about the background/backstory. They did not read as undisciplined thugs or “outlaws”. Ex-military perhaps? It’s fun that it is never answered.
victor is pretty lame imo. Tyrus though, there seems to be more behind him than being some dumb goon for gus. He seems smarter, and more trustworthy too. Seems like a potential future mike. I never understood how viktor got the position that he had though. Like he seems pretty young to be top goon and he also doesn't show much leadership/experience/special qualities to make up for it.
At this point nacho is the embodyment of "Don't deal with drugs"
R.i.p oldsmobile cutlass 442, you will be missed.
I feel like it’s sorta poetic that once nacho stops having the freedom to make his own choices, he has to watch a car get completely destroyed in front of his eyes. Had he made different choices, he’d be a free man working in his father’s car upholstery shop, working with honest people to make cars last and look better, but instead he has to watch his dead friend get shot and his friend’s car get completely destroyed
Nacho went from "Have I ever told you the definition of insanity?" to "Have I ever told you the sanity of the definition?"
Lolol im gone
This is virtually guaranteed to be fatal without medical care. Being that they were in the middle of a desert, had he not been able to make the call he would have certainly died. Doubt Gus would want to risk the life of his mole.

Gus was definitely playing chess. Suffocating Arturo in the episode before this one so his manner of death getting shot in the head wouldn't be questioned.
Except in reality, when Gus suffocated Arturo, he zip-tied his hands and feet, and that should be rather obvious to the Salamancas based on the ligature marks on his wrists and ankles. That was undoubtedly necessary to keep him from taking the bag off with minimal DNA transfer, but there is limited realism, even for the best of shows.
When the Cousins came to pick up Nacho and dispose of Arturo's body, they didn't have any reason to doubt Nacho's story... I highly doubt they're forensics experts
@@uhavebeen I think the marks would disappear
@@sonoftheway3528 The only reason marks like that disappear and your skin fills back in on live people is blood flow bro. Once you're dead, that's no longer the case.
@@uhavebeen There's so much nonsensical logic in both of the series that on multiple rewatches become so obvious. Why would a supposed meth kingpin like Hank need one of his lackeys, who is also terminally ill, to pay his medical bills? When Walt and Jesse blow up the lab, 2 white guys who are pretending to be cleaners, dressed ridiculously surrounded by Mexicans all dressed unifmormly and you're telling me not one of those people were questioned by Law enforcement or told them about the weird guys who evacuated them. Tyrus walks like a GTA character
Of course any competent investigator would determine that the driver was dead before he was shot in the head since there was no hemorrhaging of blood on the driver's seat from the shot to the head. It's obviously a staged crime scene. Mike, Lalo or Gus would spot it in a second.
They burned that car after that
Good thing the Twins aren’t CSI. They just cleared up the crime scene to hide any cartel involvement.
Lalo would’ve spotted it. The twins? Nah lol
@@user-nu2it6kf2m Right. The twins are just psychotic killers. Where the hell did they get those pointed, silver-toes shoes and that chrome-plated axe?
He couldve just went to Bolsa and tell him about finding the fake medication, and that it was probably Gus. And that Gus is trying to extort him by threatening his dad. What can Gus prove anyways?
When were Gus or Victor or Tyrus ever close enough to Hector to swap out his pills? The only ones prior to the phone call from Bolsa that knew about Hector’s condition were Nacho and Arturo. And how would Nacho know about the fake medication if he “didn’t” swap the pills? Gus himself caught a glance at Nacho swapping the pills while he was trying to keep Hector alive, he had Victor see him dispose of the tampered pills, and he had a medical report indicating that he was poisoned not to mention it was Gus’s resources keeping Hector alive. Gus had the evidence in his favor
If he went to Bolsa Gustavo would've just killed him dead regardless? The whole issue is Nacho's dad being involved. Nacho tried paying his dad to leave but he refused so now he's stuck working as a mole for Gus
Except that Gus and Hector have zero interaction with each other unless the cartel forces them to. And Gus going out of his way to save Hector kind of defeats the suspicion he wants him dead.
wonder if the cops would think the bullet casings being literally an inch from the car would be just a little bit suspicious
It wasn't intended to be discovered by the cops, the twins get called to the scene and having to rescue Nacho and dispose of the car and corpse would assure they wouldn't take a hard enough look to have reason to be suspicious.
I mean I don't think the cartel have forensic investigators for this sort of situation.
