Yesterday actually. though it was like 15 mins it made me feel amazing. Even though I was never the best skater to begin with and am def still rusty. Picked it back up after a decade and a half of life getting in the way. Been back at it for a few months now. I never regret making the time. It's FUN exercise if nothing else. I guess idk where you are but it's hot as balls here too. I force skate sessions early af in the morning or in the late evening/ into the night. I skate mostly around a grocery store so it's well lit plus our local skate park has lights until midnight.
properly and when i wasnt fat? about 12 years ago.... in the past 5 ish years i skated but usually no longer than 2 weeks because i was so out of shape. my question to you is how did you get your leg strength back to pop tricks lol
I got heavy too. My love for skateboarding got me BACK into the gym. Every mile I do on the bike or elliptical or row or rep…I’m thinking…THIS is for skateboarding! I watched a video of Jamie Thomas working out. He said he works out SO he can keep skateboarding. That’s my new mentality. I want to punish myself in the gym so I can continue to skateboard.
Want to add to my answer. My skating has changed . It’s slappy and mini ramps now. It’s not handrails and stair sets. Skate to your level…even when it goes down as you age

About 2 hrs ago. Did a fulllll 2 hr session on a sick mini ramp 4ft. I’m beat! Probably go again tomorrow
