recitative: Meet Don Alonso (The Barber of Seville but everyone's a contralto)

This recitative is from Act 2 of Gioacino Rossini's comic opera The Barber of Seville (Il Barbiere Di Siviglia) and takes place right after this duet between Bartolo and the Count: • Peace and Joy! / Pace ...
Count Almaviva is currently disguised as a music teacher but his plan to fool Bartolo goes off the rails right away and he has to improvise, and as we saw in Act 1, the Count is very very bad at thinking on the fly.
