As an Indian, I assure you that this deep understanding of songs is completely true and perfect. I grew up listening to them, and never noticed such knowledge hidden in the lyrics 😂

I am so embarrassed and thanking my dead ajoba for switching off devices if half these songs played and I would ask what’s wrong with them 😂😂😂. I am just 50% less traumatised.

Sorry I assumed ajoba is dad? 😂

My ex was indian. I used to think these songs were spiritual, healing and positive. Glad to see I was correct.
Lmfaoooo😂😂.
Healing for sure😂
Most of these songs are 'item songs' which are meant to be sexual and hot but there are many songs which have both pure and innuendo sides to it.
If you take literal meaning of anything, I am sure you can make everything double meaning.
Like the last song was not about the behemoth of the lover but rather the nature and personality of lover.
Anyways except some 'item numbers songs' many are spiritual are healing.

Lol, no! She definitely meant the actual romantic songs then :) not these fun ones 🤣
Not all songs are like this tho
She definitely meant Actual Romantic songs.... because there are too many of Actual Romantic songs.

For a nation and culture which vehemently opposes casual sex and modern social changes , Bollywood is too sexual and full of innuendos.
Which is weird because our ancient temples have just people having aex casually, where flashing boobs wasnt a taboo but a form of beauty. I am born in the right country but at a wrong time man damnit.

5:42 "abh may jawan hogayi" doesnt mean she hit puberty. She just became an adult, is what she means.
...and what does it mean to become an adult in this context? Right...
A girl hits puberty at around age 12-16. An adult means she's 21 or has age of consent. Both are not same things
@@NerdistRay The word “adult” has several meanings, and people generally speak casual language, not legalese.
@@carcharoclesmegalodon6904 Yep, you're right. Just that when I heard the lyrics, that context was what I understood and when I saw the transacted lyrics use the word "puberty" it felt weird so I wrote this comment. That too, one year ago.

I mean, it's a song about a Playboy trying to pick up an unknown and blind girl in a tourist spot to sleep with her .... 😂. It's because of this beautiful melody that most of us didn't try to understand the meaning.
The scene is literally him trying to sleep with her. All those songs are meant to be sexual 😂
Also there's no double meaning here. He's stating v clearly what he wants to do to the girl or with the girl.

Jokes aside but Hindi/Urdu is quite different from English & vice versa. Every language & country has a unique slang/phrases.
Yeah but it mostly have double meanings
Choli ke peeche ka toh yahi matlab bai
Urdu is not a language. Writing hindi in Persians script, shouldn't become urdu.
Urdu script is a modification to persian script & that's called evolution which is the basis of most other languages. How did Hindi derive then, Sanskrit is the mother language & I bet you won't understand a word of raw urdu even if you know hindi, that's how different it is

I felt exactly the same when I first heard those songs, especially choli ke pechay. My jaw just dropped, and I was like, how far these people will go, but then when I heard the second line, I was like, phew😅. The funny thing is that no matter how cheap of a language they used. All those songs were hit songs, and we still enjoy listening to it. Sometimes, when I'm listening to it in front of my friends, just for the heck of the music. It's very hard to translate it to them. My face will be the same as this girl in the video. By the way, she did a superb acting in it. I love it, and forward it to so many people 👏👏👏👏👏
I would say there is no cheap language in that song, considering the set up. These days even in English, lyrics are cheap.

I was flabbergasted on 'London thumakda' and to think that this song is played on so many Indian weddings.😂 I feel like the only reason overly-sensitive-cultured-aunties never commented on it was either because they never tried to understand the lyrics or chose to be a ignorant little bean and just groove on the Dholak oR just thought " Meh. It's the truth anyway " and went 'bout her day😅
The songs have Urdu or North Indian words, twangs or phrasing which pass by Hindi "understanding" people. Bollywood is mainly based in Maharashtra, Mumbai, which speaks Marthi language, so its basically upthere with listening to gansta rap and just singing the chorus until you actually look the lyrics up.
