True. I'm Indonesian myself. Mostly the caregivers come from small villages, they are poor. Yes, they work hard abroad to provide for good life for their families in their hometowns.
I know so many women who are away from their own family to be with another family for money. And i can tell you, many might take this as an insult, but it is true, these women are like dogs, they listen, love, respect and protect who they are in charge of, for a little money to help her own family survive. I mean this in the best way possible because i am too one of them. I need to say one more thing, even if these families give us some free time, all we do is talk and share how much of a blessing these families are to us and how the elderly reminds some of us, of our own children. You have no idea how much love one must have towards others to be able to do this in the best way possible.

I literally see a father begging his daughter to return home,he doesn't care about money,he just wants to see her daughter because he is old now. She is working in Hong Kong ,but not that it's simple because some damn contract makes things complicated.

A mattress is much easier to move out of the way. Most people who take care of their relatives also sleep on the floor on mattresses. It's nothing new

Most likely so. A lot of Indonesian maids have very good relationships with their employer family, that even their kids go visit the maid's hometown in Indonesia. Some families keep urging the maid to come back soon when they take a long vacation to go home. Some maids even have yt channels, showing off their daily routines as housemaid and show how close their relationship with their employers are

Not true at all! To get a maid in Taiwan is a very taxing work and not everyone could afford or even is allowed to have a helper. My husband used to work part time in helper/maid service agency while he was a student and the requirements to get a maid is quite troublesome. The helpers from other countries must have specific sets of skills and if they have dispute with their employers, the agency will help them settle it. It's quite a surprise for him because he's not a Taiwanese - he's Indonesian, just like the helper in the video.

A friend went from the Philippines to another country and she made very little it was sad but better than her village.
I have a maid from Madura Indonesia...she worked with me almost 12 years and i never felt her just a maid... she's like my relatives and also my youngest son's was raised by her since she was 1 day old...now she's 7 and can't even separate with my maid...no matter what, my youngest son's will be protected even i still have 3 other children but the youngest is like angel for her.... everything my youngest son's need she will fulfill like her grandson....
I had a couple of maids for my late mother in-law. And its rare when you get a good one. That maid really did an amazing job. I hope her employer will really treasure her.🙏❤️❤️

This has been huge gap of cultural communication and misunderstanding that arab refuse to be open and acknowldge. Many of those woman never come back home or receive a super secretive arrogant prosecution by law and dont have proper clear balance rights to defend themselves.
