    hey good evening,
    my plumber installed the r-22000 ws valve.
    i am going to have a shower head and handheld wand sprayer..
    i was watching your video and saw the right top outlet was plugged...i looked at my valve and saw that it IS NOT PLUGGED...but has a pex connection....
    will this still work???
    what would be the result of not being plugged?
    we want a two water exits, one being the showerhead the other the handheld...also

    Do I cap both top outlets if I'm only doing one shower head?

    • @deltafaucet
      @deltafaucet  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Jarrod! The R22000 would typically be used with more than one showerhead or shower feature. Yes, if using only one showerhead, two of the outlets can be plugged, but a diverter would not be needed for just one showerhead.

    Do you need a cartridge on both sides
    I wanted bought a shower faucet T17T299-bl
    & I wanted to add a handheld to that
    T1799-bl
    & so delta told me to get the R10000
    To make them work
    I did, my contractor said that was the wrong part so I call again they told me to get the R22000 so I did & now he said it doesn’t come with cartridges & it need 2 he’s charging 250 extra for lost time & I don’t know what I really needed for this I call delta again & is a new story of what I need ???
    So how do you make this work???

    I am facing this issue- we are renovating the bathrooms, the constructors put new delta valve for the two bathrooms and the day after that we noticed kitchen cold tab is having warm/hot water. The constructors stated that he didn’t touch kitchen so it’s not his issue; but this only happened after he put on new valves for the new bathrooms, not they are still at demo stage, I don’t know how to find which valve is causing the issue

      Him putting anything in a bathroom wouldn’t change anything at the kitchen. He would have had to swap the pipes at the hot water heater. (Highly unlikely)

    How does 6 way work with only 3 outputs?
    Why do you need water stops?

    • @deltafaucet
      @deltafaucet  Před 2 lety +4

      Hi J-M. M. Thank you for your question! A 6-setting diverter trim can control three shower features. It has three individual settings and three shared settings.
      Stops are useful to turn off the water supplies at the valve. This can be helpful for installation or maintenance, especially if it is difficult to access the water shutoff for the home.
      Thank you for being a Delta Faucet customer!

    Installed this can’t get tub spout to work? Any ideas?

    • @gefflynn7171

      I have done extensive research before renovating my bath/shower. I called Delta (locally based here in Indianapolis) several times to confirm both my bath and shower combo concerns. You cannot use the dual trim package (both the temp./vol. control and diverter). the R22000 is only for the dual trim package for shower only which is the T27 series. In order to utilize the show/tub functions you will need the "T17" series. One trim package for the water volume control and temp control and another trim package to control the shower. Then you would need a standard tub spout that has a push and pull diverter. You would need the R11000 for the shower diverter and R10000 for the vol./temp. control trim. Also the diverter shower trim packages are the T118 and T119 series. this is the Stryke model that I went with. Hope this helps.

    I have a showerhead and handheld sprayer, so we are using the 3 way settting. We have always had an issue of the diverter not working. Water always comes out of the showerhead and handheld at the same time no matter what setting the diverter is at. However, after watching this video and comparing to photos I took of the installation process, it seems that the contractor capped off the left side and not the right. Would this cause the diverter to not work properly?

    • @splotridge
      @splotridge Před 3 měsíci +1

      yes that is correct. if not installed properly the diverter wont work properly.

    • @trashpanda2396
      @trashpanda2396 Před 3 měsíci

      I'd agree yes always cap the right side. It doesn't always pipe as easily but you must use the top and left outlet.

    Please dont ever use galvanized iron for water lines. They corrode and will eventually either leak or they will just rust close and not allow any water to come through. CPVC is also notoriously bad because over time it becomes brittle and will leak.
    For water lines please use either copper (the best option) pex (good option although not my favorite) or PVC (try to avoid using pvc for water lines however it is much better than CPVC)

    Skipped the important part. Like which port goes th the hand held. Which port goes to the body sprayers. Just cut to it fully hooked up? That's not an installation video!

      @djangofilho7966 Před 2 lety +3

      It’s going to depend on the position you want you’re hand held. On a house i did. I wanted the hand held on the right side of the valve, so i used the right port. And my rain Shower i used the left port. And the upper port for the Normal Shower Head.

    Really??? 1 9/16 not 1 1/2? You really really care about that 1/16?

    • @notthesnail
      @notthesnail Před rokem

      The tolerance is +/- 1/4", so feel free to ignore that 1/16". Just be sure not to change you mind about 3/8" tile to go with something less than 3/16" or the trim won't sit tight to the wall.

    • @liorzummay
      @liorzummay Před 10 měsíci

      Tottaly right, it's so much harder to measure 1 1/2" vs 1 9/16"
      I almost gave up on doing the installation myself.

      Imagine making instructional videos on different valves and reusing copper fittings or crimping pex every time…. Think about it Einsteins.
