- So excited to share these sp00ky sounds from the EarthQuaker Devices Ghost Echo reverb pedal on harp! đ» Everything I play in this video is improvised, and apparently I was feeling really ghostly that day. The EarthQuaker Devices Ghost Echo is now a staple on my pedalboard. Thank you so much, EQD!

Damnit Miss Emily! Stop growing my "to buy" list!
NEVER!!! đ
I literally left this video playing while I work. Something about harp and time-based effects just hits the spot ajkdhakjhds
Haha youâre so right! I feel the same exact way. Thanks so much â€ïž
Yes! Another perfect video right before bed. I hope that this gives me interesting dreams.
Hahaha I hope so too!! Thank you so much for listening â€ïž

OUTRAGEOUS!! Beautiful playing and a stunning pedal.
Thanks so much Scott!!!
Sounds amazing!
Thank you Naomi!!! â€ïž
This is insane. Love the pairings you chose in this video!!! Westwood was so unexpected, yet so good
Thank you!! :)
Sooo now that I have a transducer/amp and some pedals I have to say thank you so much for doing these videos with the settings clearly visible so that a newb like me can actually make amazing sounds without ripping my hair out in frustration fiddling with the knobs in ineffective ways. I just set everything up this past week and already am loving it. Thank you!
Hahah Iâm so glad I can help!! Thanks so much for being here! đ„°đ¶
I just bought this pedal. I really like it. When I was in the store trying it out, I picked out the melody to Human Nature. When I got home, I was playing with the knobs and was having trouble finding good sounds. Thank you Emily for demoing this pedal.
Your playing is beautiful and inspiring.
And Iâm gonna try your settings.
Thanks, and keep making wonderful music.
This sounds absolutely insane. I love it. Really brings you somewhere distant and alien. To a warm and peaceful albeit alien place. Lovely.
Please more of this! Please haunt my dreams and nightmares! I wouldn't mind this being the soundtrack while I spend the night in the mansion my uncle left me in his will.
the music you make, makes me happy.
also you're boggin cuuuuute XD
Awesome video! I just bought this pedal, which I didn't think I was going to do, since it's kind of a "boring" pedal (it's not, but you know what I mean). But everything I've heard with it is just so pretty. Obviously your playing is pretty anyway, but the GE just seems to make everything prettier. Like... it's lame to say "haunting", since Ghost is in the name, so that's not a big reach. But it sounds really soothing. Real good! Thanks for the upload!
that little cap over the avalanche run light is great. eqd lights are so bright.
LED dampers for pedals changed my life đ I highly recommend!!!
Get some Sublimation Heat Tape for a quick, cheap and easy fix :)
So lovely. I had Dr. forms to fill out (again!) & just let this play again & again & it kept me calm! đ„°đ§đ€
I'm so glad! Thanks for listening đ„°
Lovely sounds as usual :)
Thanks Bob :)
I have always liked the harp. Itâs a beautiful instrument
Iâm so glad!! â€ïž thanks for being here
Checking this out as I investigate more reverbs (6 is not enough...). This one is intriguing - not too weird, yet not exactly traditional. It is indeed spooky. I think I want this, but then I'm a sucker for just about any reverb. Thanks as always for doing what you do!
AHHH...Lucid Ambient Dreams, Angelic Bliss...Pure Splendor...Entering Dream State Now!!!
Hahahaha thanks so much for listening and for your kind words, as usual â€ïž

Also, amazing video as usual! I convert these to mp3s and fall to sleep to them!
Omg that makes me so happy!!! This made my day :) thanks so much â€ïž â€ïž
Hey!!! I put these up on bandcamp so now you can download the audio files directly from there yourself!! - emilyharpist.bandcamp.com
@@emilyharpist hell yes! Thank you for the update! This will make things much easier for me. you rule!
Wow! Love this one. Atound 5:15 is awesome sounding.
Thank you!!! This is honestly one of my favorites so far :)
Good lord - you are amazing
7:47 to 10:54 = Super Metal!
Yes!!! This was my favorite section of this video honestly haha. Iâm definitely going to develop further soon!
Wonderful
Oh wow....I donât know if itâs a faux pas to say ânon-traditionalâ instruments for pedal use, but seeing harp and orchestral instruments as platforms for EQD pedals makes me happy. Not to mention Emily makes the angels sing with her performance. Well done all
Iâm so glad you enjoyed this!! I dedicated most of my channel to harp and effects pedals, and EQD pedals work so well with harp!! Thanks so much for the kind words Geoff :)
Okay those tapping skills @4:00 are impeccable.

Wow!! What beautiful music
Thank you so much!!! â€ïž
I got the Afterneath v3 a couple weeks ago. It was a toss up between the Ghost echo or the Afterneath. I figure I will get the Ghost echo eventually. It's more in my price range. I was only able to get the Afterneath cuz of the stimmie. So I figured buy the most expensive reverb that I want while I had enough money. I am very pleased with it.
The ghost echo is something you can use as an always on reverb, it really is a special pedal. The afterneath and levitations are both amazing but for me are used only in certain context, they are fun though. The ghost echo is my reverb while I put the reverb on my 65dri on 0. It will not do surf by any means, but if you like a hall reverb with slapback or benson style reverbs buy it.
@@dingusfuzzklonnkt2755 yeah I don't like the brightness of spring. The jhs first white reveb he came out with in the 3 series. It works fantastic for what I need it for (Sonic youth type noise). But now I want to get the Ghost echo also.
I love this.
The Ghost Echo + Pyramids combo sounds like it could be part of the soundtrack to a Blade Runner movie
beautiful
Thank you!!!
your compositions are very cool
Thank you so much Maxime!
Very cool demo đ đ
Thanks PIB!!!
Youâre extremely underrated
â€ïž â€ïž thanks so much :)
Revisiting this video after watching your best of 2021. What are your amp settings if you would be willing to share? Do you keep gain in the middle? What abt chorus and Reverb on the amp?
Oh, wow. This just needs a beat.
Hahaha it totally does. I have videos on my channel where people submit beats to my harp playing from my demos! The next one is coming later this month :)
Do you have any music available on streaming? Would love to hear more of your playing beyond YT!!
I have some original music on Spotify under my name!! Full album in the works :)
Whenever I hear echo on a harp, I think of the intro to The Beatles' "She's Leaving Home".
đ great song!!
Hello I bought this pedal but now it floats around at night and haunts my home. Great sounds though
LMFAOOO
When I was first new to pedals a couple years back this was one of the first reverb pedals. I loved it, but like all new addictions I spent way too much money and time on reverb pedals over the years. Found some great ones, found some not so great ones, sold most on Reverb, but of all the ones I kept the Ghost Echoes was one of them. I should've just stuck with it from the start. Everyone likes different reverbs, some like plate, others spring, or shimmer, hall, whatever. For me, the Ghost Echoes is -the- ideal reverb pedal for me. I even prefer it over the Avalanche Run, Afterneath and Dispatch Master.
Thatâs so interesting! I honestly never really heard much about this one - it was always overshadowed by the Afterneath, Dispatch Master, and Avalanche Run, which are definitely my other favorites, but Iâm definitely kicking myself for not getting this one sooner!! Honestly, buying and selling pedals can be so much fun and the best way to find new sounds :)
Must check out Neunaber Immerse.
@@JInfinity7 Own it! It's a good one, though I prefer the Wet v3 algorithm above the other features
i died and went to ghost heaven

Oblivion soundtrack
Yesssssss such a good soundtrack!!
Honestly. I want to get a small harp what would that even be called? Take it back. I want a cheap harp with a pickup in there or however they make it electrified. Harps are so (Jim Carrey voice) b e autiful!
Smaller harps are usually lever harps! Some are electric but you can also install a pickup on an acoustic one - I have a video on my channel comparing large pedal harps and small lever harps. I also have a video on my channel comparing my harp to a very inexpensive one! Go to my CZcams profile and youâll see them on my âharp lifeâ playlist!!!
@@emilyharpist oooooooh definitely checking those out later
Danny Elfman needs to have you on his soundtracks, or does he already??đ€
Hahaha I WISH!!! One can dream
@@emilyharpist some of your improvs remind me of some Andreas Wollenweider recordings I've had from back in the 80's.
I wonder how that would sound with the Afterneath?
Its either one or the other...pointless to run both.
@@darionbuck8864 sure, that's what I meant. I was talking about the harp piece she was playing.
That said, stacking them might not be such a bad idea
@@tite93 oh I see. Nah the afterneath would just cancel it out. It doesn't stack well with delay either. Just too much going on.
@@darionbuck8864 I honestly havenât tried stacking this with either a reverb or delay - I definitely will soon! Sometimes doing that with harp has some interesting results. I have an Afterneath video on my channel if you want to hear that pedal alone with harp!
@@emilyharpist lol ok I'm watching your zoia. Do you have a sea machine? When you added the aqueduct I died, so SM would be lush
Hey Siri where can I buy a Ghost Echo
đ
Btw I'm starting a gear show, Called @ThatGearShow in Little Rock Arkansas. I've already started the Instagram page. Gonna be interviewing the bands in person as soon as more people in Arkansas get their shots. But for the most part, people in the scenes are getting their shots I feel like. Anyway, my friends and I have felt there needs to be another gear show because premiere guitar is getting all these bands that we can't relate to. So we are going to start introducing bands to the internet here soon in the coming months. Just be on the lookout for us one day. We have all the equipment already so it it just a matter of time. We will be out there soon. B there or B âĄ
Thatâs so great! Best of luck with it, Iâll keep an eye out
