Wow! It's like this pedal was made solely for the harp. Its cascading short delay lines take so well to the plucked blooming nature of the harp. Beautiful work, Emily ❤
Thank you so much!! :) ♡
I guess that pedal sounds good on anything...awesome vid!
hahah honestly it does!! I heard it used on cello in the studio the other day -- it blew my mind!
So magical. This is one of my fave pedals to play with a guit. Hope your distortion vid gets put back up. Keep makin beautiful art! Cheers
love this pedal, love your playing. the combination is beautiful
Soooo sick on harp!! I use this pedal for most of my videos, it's sooooo great! Thanks for sharing your sweet sounds
Thank you so much for listening!!! ❤❤❤ This one's definitely a favorite of mine, I can't use it enough!
Wow! So beautiful. I'm a fan of your Harp playing with that pedal.
thank you so much! ❤️
The Afterneath is my favorite pedal currently on my board. To see it used like this is absolutely incredible! This is so awesome!
thank you so much!! Afterneath is such a staple for me! :)
Gorgeous, I love my Afterneath. As Stefan said, this makes it sound like the pedal was designed for harp !
right?! Afterneath is one of my STAPLES on harp!
Lovely! Beautiful!
thank you so much!!
incredible, actually made me cry.
that does sound very calming. would be perfect for a cool summer breaze in the sunshine.
too bad were not having that for a while.
It'll be here before we know it! 😂
Easy decision to subscribe, thank you for this wonderful demo/performance, I have been looking at harps and saving money for like the past year, cant wait to get my own!
Thanks so much!! Harps can be so expensive, but it can be so worth it!!
@@emilyharpist Im looking at Rees Harps since they seem really affordable, would you recommend that brand? my price range: $500-1000
@@dumbnutz5145 Yes I would! It's a great brand, but if you're looking to start taking harp lessons, I would highly recommend getting a more standard size lever harp first so that you can learn the proper technique and hand position for playing the harp. Personally, I find that it can be a bit more difficult learning from the very beginning on a Harpsicle or similar. A standard lever harp is a bit more expensive, but The Harp Connection offers an amazing and affordable rental harp program if you're based in the US (that's how I started)! I first started taking lessons on a Lyon & Healy Troubadour lever harp that I was renting, and when I saved up enough money, I was able to purchase it. I believe they also offer a great "trade up" program where, when you're ready to size up, they offer you a credit towards your next purchase.
@@emilyharpist Thank you so much, I will check it out! you get my sub easy!
@@dumbnutz5145 let me know how it goes!! Best of luck ❤️
Amazing!!!!
Thank you so much
it's so funny, I was just at a music store a few days ago thinking of how that pedal would sound on the harp I play. Been looking for an "icy" sounding pedal. I think I might go with the Avalanche run over this one based off of this video.
edit: I keep going back and forth between the two xD
honestly YES Avalanche Run is amazing, I think you'll love it! :) if you want to hear how that one sounds on harp, I did a demo of that, too!

@@emilyharpist yeah I saw it!!! That's what gave me the idea :)
Are you wondering how I use effects pedals on the harp? I made a video explaining this! czcams.com/video/Y5253VL9MXk/video.html
Hello ‘Emily
Fantastic sound what can I say but Your Awesome 🤩 and I love ❤️ your glasses your wearing. Thank you for playing beautiful music. Sometimes I lose my self in life because the world 🌎 is changing so much but I always seem to find myself when I hear your beautiful music again.🙏
Thank you 🙏
Sincerely Linda 😎
HI LINDA!!! I’m so happy to hear from you, I hope everything has been going well!!! Thank you so much for being here with us 🥰❤️❤️❤️ I’m sending you so much love!!!
It’s so beautiful it gave me the urge to buy one for my harp. I installed a Dusty strings pickup on my harp and It’s my first pedal so I’m not sure if I’m doing it wrong because there was no pedal sound coming out, just regular harp. I plugged the harp directly to the harp and the pedal to the amp. Am i missing something, Do I need anything else?
Hey!! That should be the correct setup! What power source are you using to power the pedal? We use the Strymon Ojai!!
I used a universal plug that I set up with the voltage recommended with the pedal. Could that be why?
Great use of the Afterneath! How do you get the harp into the effects and then amplified, is your harp miced somewhere?
I'm pretty sure its an electric acoustic harp. Every string is mic'd, and then you plug in the pedal and plug it into an amplification system.
@@sarahohr8614 Yes that's right! @Red_Car_Records_ I just plug my harp into the pedal, and then the pedal directly into the audio interface (or an amp if I'm not recording). The harp has 3 pickups (bass, mid, high), a 1/4" out for each, and one that sums all three, which is what I typically use. If you watch this video around the 5:30 mark, you can see this a little better. czcams.com/video/KFq_6uFtr10/video.html - I'm currently making a video that explains this in more detail!
@@emilyharpist thats interesting to know. I own the Salvi Rainbow 40, and each string has a pickup.
@@sarahohr8614 Yes! The Salvi Rainbow 40 is so beautiful :) It's the same for my Little Big Blue; each string has its own pickup, but they are split into either the bass, mid, or high 1/4" outputs, or the single output that sums them all!
@@emilyharpist Does that mean that this harp can put different effects pedals for different ranges of strings? Reverb on the bass and echo on the high, just for example? I hadn't heard about the different outputs and was already considering picking up this or the rainbow, so this changes a lot for me. Does the Rainbow have similar outputs, or just a single output? If that's something you know, I mean.
What are your other two favourites?
Hi Emily, I love your pedal demos. Do you have a video where you played using Afterneath and Dispatch Master together? I thought you did but I can't seem to find it now!
Thank you so much!!! You know, I just looked through a BUNCH of my videos looking for that combo for you, and I actually don’t think I’ve done that! The only video that has both is my Sakamoto “Andata” cover but there’s so many pedals used it doesn’t really show the combo well! I’m so surprised it hasn’t happened yet
@@emilyharpist Well, thanks for looking!! :) Maybe "Best Pedal Combinations" could be a cool video idea for you in the future :)
@@LiterallyAlly omg you’re right! It might take me a while to figure out my favorite combos but I’m definitely going to do this!! You’re the best haha
@@emilyharpist Yay, can't wait! 😁 I only recently installed a pickup on my harp and got my first pedal (Dispatch Master) after finding your channel and I've been using your videos as my pedal buying guide for sure 🤣
@@LiterallyAlly ok I have to tell you, I’m honestly tearing up reading your comment, it made my day. It’s always been my goal to help other harpists with pedal demos and inspire them somehow, so thank you so much for your kind words and for being here. If you ever have any questions you can always ask or DM me on Instagram!! I’m always here as a resource for you in any way I can help! ❤️
