    Thank you sooooo much Jemma for making a gluten free cake as my mum can't have gluten or see gets sick. Me and my sister love baking, however she can't eat them. So I love how me and my sister can make her a cake she can actually eat, and I'm sure she will love this chocolate cake!!! Thank you !!!! 😊😊😊

    Yaaaay!!! I have discovered that just about most of your recipes work fine with a 1/1 gluten free baking flour I get from Bob's Red Mill, but I love almond flour! I can't wait to try this!

    Thank you kindly for this recipe. I was told to do a gluten free diet to help with my bone inflammation and weight. I was skeptical but lost 10 lbs the first month and feel better. I need chocolate so this recipe is exciting!

    this is my all time favourite chocolate cake recipe frm Japanese
    chef who have learned cooking in US.
    I’m 100000% sure you’ll love it if you like brandy cake or something!!(I’ve added some twists ‘cuz imitating someone’s recipe is maybe not so good thing)
    Ingredients:
    [A]
    semi sweet chocolate……….40g
    pure cocoa powder……….30g
    unsalted butter……….70g
    dark rum or cherry brandy……….20ml
    ‘4’ egg whites
    granulated sugar……….30g
    [B] shifted and mixed
    ‘3’ OREOs chopped
    ‘30g’ of chocolate chunks
    granulated sugar……….100g
    plain flour………..50g
    a pinch of salt(I prefer ‘pink rock salt’. it’ amazing!!)
    Directions:
    [1]
    put [A] in a grass bowl and melt them on the boiling water.
    after you melting them, add your rum and let it cool completely.
    [2]
    beat your egg whites (w/ hand mixer) until it can make stiff peaks. and add your sugar(30g one) slowly (separate 3 times and each time you have to beat them well) and beat them again till it becomes shiny and stiff.
    [3]
    add [B] (dry ingredients) in your merengue and gently fold them with your spatula.
    and then add [A] (chocolate mixture) and mix them completely.
    put the cake butter into the pan(round, 18cm, and lined a parchment paper on the bottom)
    [4]
    pop into your pre-heated oven(180℃) and bake it for about 20 minutes.
    [5]
    garnish it with melted white chocolate and more oreos!!
    its taste becomes much better if you keep this in refrigerator at least 2to3 days!!
    I hope you’ll LOVE it!! (I apologize that my English are not good 8[ I’m still learning!!)

    thank you! Please do some more gluten free recipes! Both me and my mother are coeliacs with a monster sweet tooth and it's so hard to find yummy recipes to try that don't taste like card board.

    This is delicious and I plan to make it fairly regularly so thanks. I Use raw butter and raw cream. I will try coconut sugar soon and replace half the almond flour for a gluten free all mix with sorghum and amaranth. I don’t think too much taste will be lost if good-quality chocolate is used and you will feel like you are eating less money every time you make a treat. Ciao bella

    To anyone making this recipe, make sure you whisk your whites before the yolks. If you whisk the yolks first and then use the same beaters, the fat from the yolks will stop the whites from whisking up!

    I love to bake and always have cakes or treats in the house, however I've yet to bake up a really moist chocolate cake (apart from brownies), so this one is my next bake! Fingers crossed Jemma!
    PS the Banana Maple Blondies were Deeeelishh +I would have taken a photo but they were eaten up so fast 😋

    Obviously I perfectly know the authentic recipe being italian but yours can absolutely match up to the original. Yes, you skipped the "Strega" liqueur but it's not a big deal considering that most people don't even like spirits! 😊

    TOP TIP:
    Immediately beat the egg yolk with the sugar or the sugar is going to "cook" the yolks and the mixture would look a bit like scrambled eggs. Also, save half the sugar for the egg whites to help stabilize it and a tsp of vinegar or lemon juice would help stabilizing it too.

      She replied about this a couple of videos ago, I think she said it's a new type that they're trying out, the flavour is extracted using CO2 rather than alcohol if I remember correctly!

      I use coconut oil ALL the time in my alternative baking cup for cup to butter!

      You could use either coconut oil or a heart healthy dairy free butter like earth balance, however, you would probably need to use the sticks of dairy free butter rather than the whipped version.
