I didn't realise the main villain of Timeranger was the Baboo of Time Force

I liked Ransik as a villain cause he was literally a threat like was killing everyone in his way.
Well the thing is that he is a threat but really he is a shallow villain compared to Dolnero. Plus Dolnero isnt meant to be a fighter but rather a mafia boss

I remember before I started looking at timeranger, I wasn't so sure if Timeranger was better. But now! *Sigh* timeranger is not only darker but the plot and character development is so much more. I love time force theme song but I really love Timeranger op theme a lot more just because of those epic vocals in the background it gives a feeling of end of time. OST goes to timeranger.
I may be in the minority in this but, I much prefer timeranger transformation. I just like the way that there's a time barrier and they jump in mid air posing. I also like after the helmet comes n their faces that you then see the circuits of on their foreheads light up.
Pink- Jen is not just a great character but she one of the best female pink rangers/heroines in power rangers but I kind of like yuri more. At first, I thought Yuri was a bit emotionless but when you get to see her back story, there's a reason why she acted they way she did. She takes her job serious and she tries to not be vulnerable. When she opened up to red, I just respect a lot more.
Red- I like them both equally, although I feel like you really get a sense that with Tatsuya he genuinely wants to change his destiny.
Blue - Ayase is not just a good character with more of a struggle due to his condition but I feel like his actor did a better job playing his character than Lucas's own did. When I look back on time force, Lucas's actor at the time was pretty bad. He's very underwhelming and his voice acting for his suit actor is not really good either.
Yellow- Another strong female in PR is Katie but Damon had a lot more going for his character and shines a lot than Katie in his respective series. He was fun and I also felt that the actor did a better job in his role. However one of the major problems is when they had to use the japanese footage of time yellow. In the footage, the suit actor (Hideaki Kusaka) is too masculine looking for me to be convince that it's Katie. Not only, his mannerism are too boyish for katie but just the way he looks was manly. Even when I was kid, I didn't know PR basically came from sentai I've always had a problem with this especially in wild force for taylor.
Green - Sion edges out a bit more me because I feel that he's more isolated which made felt for him more. I still like Trip.
6th- Damn, this is tough but I feel like Naoto was written better plus not to mention that I feel like his rivalry with Tatsuya was better because. Naoto sort of envy Tatsuya a lot more compare to Eric and Wes.
These are great shows, but I feel like Timeranger is better..
Triple Aces555 You kinda forgot Captain Ryuya and Alex. Personally, I like Ryuya since he IS Tatsuya’s descendant. Wish Timeforce made Alex Wes’ descendant. What really surprises me is that Ryuya IS the true villain, even if he has good goals, like making a cure for TimeBlue’s incurable disease, saving Yuri’s family, etc;.
Timeranger seems to have a lot more nuances than Timeforce. Timeforce was one of my favorite PR seasons as a kid, and I still like it. But after having giving Timeranger a watch and finishing it. I enjoyed it a lot more.

To correct Matt, the future in Time Force is actually in the year 3000. Just like it's counterpart in Timeranger. That's later confirmed in the Wild Force Team Up (in 2002) when Trip mentions the mutorgs not being known about in the year 3001.
Time Force has been one of my all time absolute favorite PR seasons since forever. I only recently started watching the Sentai series that were adapted into PR, and just finished my watch of Timeranger, and I gotta say, that's probably one of my fav Sentai as well so far (having only a relatively limited sample of Zyuranger thru to Time Ranger so far) and while I have to give the edge to Time Force, you guys make good arguments for Timeranger, especially the whole "Ayase and Domon had actual plots and interactions with each other" vs "Katie and Lucas got a couple of individual focus episodes that weren't really tied into anything and they really were demoted to just background" (which is a bit of a shame, even with only 40 episodes vs 50, and the extra focus on Ransik and Wes+Jen, they still could have totally sprinkled in a little more for those two...) Naoto vs Eric they felt very copy/paste, but Eric vs Wes felt more natural than Naoto vs Tatsuya... I liked Lila better than Nadira... I kept having cognitive discord at Don Dolnero being the competant mob boss Big Bad vs same costume Gluto who was barely background bumbling sidekick villain. Ransik was awesome, vs Dolnero... they're both good, Dolnero was a simple mob boss, just very not afraid to shoot first ask questions later guy, while Ransik felt more like a Terrorist who wanted to be a mob boss but didn't know how other than general terror attacks for the sake of blowing stuff up and looting the remains (Gien would have been quite happy working for him!) which is perfectly fine ... the finale overall I think Time Force executed the story better than Timeranger (although their "crystals that shouldn't exist for another 100 years interacting is ripping holes in time/space" is better than Time Force's "Time holes just appear" explanation), like the whole Guardians taking Time Fire away and Naoto has to steal it back, and the Timerangers have to go through a whole action sequence prison break to get back to the past, idk, it just didn't work for me as well as Time Force's finale...
Overall both outstanding shows, and trying to decide which is better is like trying to split hairs, both have their pros, but I still am leaving that slight edge to Time Force (if nothing else, I can binge Time Force in a few days (I could easily do 5-6 episodes at a time), vs Timeranger it took me a few weeks to get through (3, maybe 4 at a time), even with the extra 10 episodes, still just a longer time frame, although I was able to binge Timeranger more easy than most all my other Sentai watches so far)
I still have yet to watch TimeRanger but I loved almost everything about Time Force except Eric (no disrespect to the actor). I just saw Eric as a bully who didn't deserve to be a Ranger. Yes, Wes had wealth and popularity, but Wes never treated Eric bad. All Eric did was whine and complain about how tough his life was. Eric was just a douche bag.

Time Force and Timeranger are equally similar, but I have to give it to Time Force. It's my all time favorite PR season plus the story was amazing, I know not everyone had a character development but it's a great show. I really preferred Timeranger over Timeforce. Coming from someone who grew up with this show specifically, after watching Timeranger I never looked back. Timeforce has better villains by far, Dolnero was overhyped and ended up being mediocre, Gien and Ryuya were interesting but did not do enough. Besides this I vastly prefer Timeranger’s characters. Katie and Lucas were boring and had no clear character and I felt like Sion, Tatsuya, Yuri, and Naoto did their characters better than the PR counterparts. And the ending of Timeranger was just sad
I’m amazed that you guys prefer Wes over Tatsuya. Tatsuya has real soul and character, Wes is very milquetoast and standard. Tatsuya sells the motivations of TimeRed MUCH better, and the episodes that focus on him are believable and actually really moving at times. Any given scene with Wes plays like he’s waiting for the laugh track.
I would agree that the quantum ranger is better than time fire, and Jen is a little better than Yuuri, but overall Timeranger was a much more serious and enjoyable show imo

I really cant pick one to like better oth were awesome both had great characters and rangers and villains were both great tho I was sad how the 6th ranger in Time ranger died I liked Ransik better as a villain the plots were both great and I liked the Wes and Jen ship.
I liked how they captured the monsters and villains as apposed to killing.

I just say both are the same characters but wes played it better than tatsuya. And wes's relationship with Jen is way more lively than tatsuya and yuri's relationship which appears more of a "forced to be shown"like relationship

Nadira vs Lila? Nadira had a better character arc/development, plus Kate Sheldon had serious charisma.

It was in Timeranger when the City Guardians try to take away the V-Commander away from Naoto, not Time Force.

I prefer Timeranger way better because of its darker, dramatic tone.
PowerRangersWolfRangerKoragg Well, Power Rangers Time Force has Ransik who is super intimidating!! Saban did a great job making a villain on this show and does a great job with this adaptation.

Ransik’s backstory doesn’t make sense since why would people find him ugly when the year 3000 is filled with aliens that look like him. Don Dolnero was better in Timeranger cause he made people go out of business for making unfair trades since he was a mafia boss, so the time police being after him makes sense.
@@arkanamaster4961 it’s purely the charm of his actor. His backstory makes no sense and his motivations are generic. The Dolnero gang may not have been the greatest villains but they were unique in the way they were presented.

wow....most definitely like time force a little bit better, just because i like the characters more and I've always had a childhood crush on Wes. but time ranger was actually pretty great and they were very very closely related in plot............but Ransik is defiantly a better villain. i agree with Matt top tier power ranger villain.

This was definitely a difficult comparison, and I guess it's true that Timeranger does have a lot more that were missing from Time Force. But, I will say that it's a draw for me.

@@only257 yes I know you have given that same boring story countless times also again how can you bad mouth power ranger adaptions and say sentai's are better if you have not seen both also while some power series may have f;aws many of them are great and are as good or almost as good as sentai your statements make no sense
Figures crossed that we get this(these) Power Rangers Movie Sequel(s) because they need to do a Time Force movie. In a perfect world obviously I think we would all prefer that they eventually do all the seasons in movie form & have them all lead up to an awesome movie version of the Legend War (which would also be making up for the crap "war" we got at the end of Super Megaforce) but I guess it is more realistic that we aim for like Count Down to Destruction. With the first couple being obviously MMPR (including the Alien Rangers) but hopefully we'll be able to finally make it out of there & into other seasons. We would obviously need In Space in there but maybe also mix it up & switch out Turbo for Time Force. Maybe Zeo doesn't have to come in immediately & do like SPD or I think LightSpeed Rescue would be cool with the whole public servant rescuers theme. There is just so many different stories you can tell when you take in account all of the PR seasons & not limiting themselves to just MMPR from like race cars w/Turbo, rescuers w/LSR, futuristic time cops, outter space, space cops, magic, treasure hunters, marital arts, apocalyptic world, real dinosaurs themed seasons w/ Dino Thunder & Charge, ninjas, samurais, to animals.

@@jarnahmaxux7187 yeah that’s really sad that the only reason people like ransik is cause he was played by an amazing actor. I love Don Donero in Timeranger cause he was a great character, him being played by a great voice actor only add to me loving him. Ransik I did thought was cool when I watched time force as a kid, but that was really all I liked about him while growing up. If ransik was only liked cause he was played by Vernon Wells, then maybe the character wasn’t written well. But that just my opinion. I thought ransik’s backstory was okay. It just needed something else extra too add to why we should sympathize with him. Maybe his wife was killed by Alex so that was the reason for why he killed Alex in the pilot. We could of grown to understand his reasoning for wanting to understand him, but instead we got “I’m evil cause people thought I was scary even tho I look like mostly every other mutant in this show so I don’t really see why I’m different.” This is just how I felt when revisiting time force last year.
@@arkanamaster4961 I feel the same way about Professor Bias in Liveman. Jouji Nakata is one of my favorite actors of all and I don’t think I would’ve cared for Bias at all since he was mostly one dimensional and didn’t even get a backstory. As for Ransik vs Dolnero, Dolnero all the way. He was the classic mob boss who’s goals were to make money illegally. It was simple and effective and makes him unique among toku villains. Ransik felt like ambitious concept but failed in execution. His backstory makes no sense like why was he even getting discriminated against in a society where humans and non humans live coexist peacefully on top of that he looks 95% human other than the area on his eye so him getting discriminated in the first place doesn’t even make sense. Also apparently one woman is enough for him to go evil and apparently betrays the guy who was kind to him like wtf???
@@jarnahmaxux7187 yeah it’s crazy how ransik’s backstory made no sense. I all feel the same about Bias when I watch Liveman recently. He was played by Crowler from Flashman but he just wasn’t as good of a villain as he was in Flashman sadly. Still a great actor.

You have to watch all of Timeranger to get what they actually mean. I won't spoil it for you, but there is a reason why they said that.
ransik turned himself in because his daughter convinced him what he had done was wrong not because she just told him to turn himself in and then he redeemed himself somewhat after years of imprisonment (or at least i assume it was years) in Wild Force by helping the Power Rangers stop a problem he created.
Lucas also has a problem with getting his driver's license in the year, 2001. Since he's got more of a wreckless streak and yeah, his driving instructor keeps freaking out everytimw he tries to get his license in the season.
timeranger is better
First half of timeranger is pretty awful, from 25 on its great and the finale is just amazing. Time force is more constant with its quality

I know but I think that timeranger was way goofier at the begining and the villian were just plan boring (Gien only got interesting later on)
Really? I think it was serious from the beginning. I mean we got a cop that almost killed a criminal that murder her family, we found out that ayase was dying, we get to see a character feeling isolated because he's from a different time and the series show child abduction. This show has been serious from the start, I think that in the late teens to the earliest twenties were jokey because of filler, but after that, it's been pretty serious.

Simple reasons:
Time Force is 90% copy-paste 8% Ransik 2% Red Battle Warrior and Quantum's battlizer.
I prefer Time Force over Timeranger. I didn't really like time ranger and I just found time ranger to be very negative and most of the characters just all-around unlikable.
