I personally love the lo-frame rate fight scenes, they’re unique! Unfortunately they royally stuffed them up when they tried to recreate that for Gokaiger as they keep the camera stationary which makes it look the video’s glitching out instead of a deliberate style choice.
I think an interesting idea would have been Naoto surviving. I know that’s stereotypical, but hear me out first. The whole premise of the show is based on the idea of fighting fate. Timefire, whoever was in the costume (initially Ryuya but Ryuya tried to make it so someone else was in it) was fated to die at that point in time. By setting up the whole chain of events, Ryuya was trying to escape fate. I think it would have made the theme of fighting fate stronger if Ryuya had died in the future, independent of the TimeFire powers, but Naoto survived with what was supposed to lead to death. Ryuya’s semi-fatalist attitude backfiring and changing history for the better. But that’s just a thought I had.
timeranger is my favorite Super Sentai, sadly doesn´t have the recognition that deserves, in your review in the part you said you can´t find Ayase fight scenes I think is because the plot, in the series not directly but you can realize he gets tired easily whe he has so much effort; and with the excepcion of episode "little lady" he always has an "attack" when he fights too much, that´s the reason you can´t find so much scenes in comparison of Tatsuya or Domon
Timeranger is my favorite sentai as well. Just about all my favorite rangers of each color is from Timeranger. Tatsuya is by far my favorite red and favorite ranger of all time and that time where he gets his helmet broken is my favorite scene of sentai of all time. It sad I see a lot of people say time force is better. I never saw Time Force better than Timeranger as it pretty much copied Timeranger’s story but dumbed it down. Katie, Lucas and Tripp are probably some of the most underdeveloped rangers of all time. Ransik looked cool but was very generic and I much prefer Dolnero more as he and actually reason for doing the stuff he did. Jen barely got any development compared to Yuri. Then we have Wes and Eric which I like but only cause they were just their sentai counterparts but not as strong. The Timeranger cast is what makes the show so excellent that is hurts my feelings to see people not liking it. Hopefully people will check it out with how much love Zenkaiger is giving other than the gear.
@@arkanamaster4961 The most important turning point that convinced me timeranger was better is that episode about the mecha fight. In the scene that when the mecha battle finished, the rangers were ejected out of the machine. In time ranger, the rangers noticed that every action of them so far is so similar and repeated and they start to doubt the scheme of regulation of time police and whether there is a big plan inside it. However, Time force rangers used a really childish tone said, wow the fuel of the future will charge the time Megazord, cool... The depth of thinking is totally different!
@@billli6623 yeah my biggest gripe with time force is that it’s way to similar to Timeranger and the differences they have just do nothing to help make the show more unique from Timeranger. Wes and Eric are just way to similar to their sentai counterparts for me to say they are unique characters. Good yes unique no. I don’t want to hate on time force but man the decisions they made just didn’t help them at least Ransik bring bad in time force led to Dr Adler being amazing in Wild Force

Katie, Trip and Lucas are boring if we compared domon, Shion and Ayase. Dornero and Gien are better elaborated than Ransik and Frax. Captain Ryuya being the big villain was a great idea. Jen and Wes are excellent, but Yuuri and Tatsuya's relationship was one of the most beautiful and well-developed of all. Super natural and make you cry when you say goodbye like that. Naoto and Erick are very good too.

I really am interested to revisit it when the official power rangers youtube channel starts uploading time force episodes. I wonder how i would either like it more or have the same feelings i already had on it

I'm gonna play devil's advocate. Was captain ryuga a villain? He saw 2 futures. These futures would have happened with or without him. That means the criminals would have gone back in time whether or not he allowed it. So what was wrong with him changing things to ensure his survival?

Out of all the late 90s and very early 2000s Sentai shows, Time Ranger is probably my favorite.
