- For this episode, we traveled to Plant City, Florida to speak to our friend Chris Meckley of ACI Aquaculture to talk about one of our favorite LPS coral, the Elegance Coral.
From survival rates, tips, origins and what to look for and about aquaculturing them, we covered everything possible with this gorgeous coral.

Fragging the elegance is TOP Secret. If you want everyone to enjoy one. Make a video on this secret fragging method, and want you use for dip.
JESSE ARMSTRONG way to demand for things huh? Lol ;) he band saws it straight down the center. Now will I drive little over 4 hrs to film it? Probably not. Everyone can buy one and enjoy one regardless of fragging video. Dip that they use is Julian Sprung's revive and Bayer.

Thanks for the reply. I for one would not frag this coral, but the way peta and others are going. I have spent close to a $ 1000.00 in the past 10 years, with no success. last couple have beenFROM AUS. So its incouragging to see this . I have always love these corals. Maybe i'll give one more try..THANKS .
JESSE ARMSTRONG hey Jesse, chris has fragged hundreds of these. In fact, one that I have in my tank is fragged and was shown on the video. It's over an year old and is doing well. Make sure that the LFS doesnt mix the indo and the aust. ones.
My LRS just got some new elegance corals in. Says they are from AUS. Can I use the Bayer & revive, or just revive. Hoping for the best this time. THANKS
Use only 1 dip. Dont mix. I wish you the best!

I just got one and it loves my tank it was at the store for 3 months I finally asked about it was not a cheap one I took it home stayed closed for the day the next day it was twice the size it was in the store my favourite coral so far. Just a question why would people be scared of it? I jumped at it when I saw what it was had to have it!.
because they can be very finicky. :)
reefs Okay well I have done good so far with most of my corals I do water changes weekly I keep things the same I am very repetitious with my water changes I try not to change up things too much so maybe that is why they do good as soon as they get into my tank they seem to open up more than they do in the store.

Hi I have noticed these small purple flat worm looking things walking on my elegance coral. What could it be
I did dip it
Flatworm on any coral is bad. Usually they are predator for the said coral. Please keep an eye on it continue dipping in weekly basis to get rid of the flatworm and the babies from possible eggs.
@@Reefscom some say this is a cleaner snail but I can't tell. I'll dip it as you suggested. I'll try upload a video for you to see

TT Smasher your store should know where it came from .
Indo Elegance tends to like high tem 25C-28C
How do you feed them on?

What kind of Bath after post shipment?
I generally use revive from TLF. I know Chris uses bayer.
What happened to the Indonesian ones?

Which brand of marine salt do you use.? You said you got success among other things fo4 5he salt
So what kind of salt do you use then? lol
I personally use fritz. Chris uses Julian Sprung's TLF salt.
