Indian parents are always conservative, literally one of their goal is one day when their daughter/son gets old enough find another Indian and marry them. That's kind of cool actually so that guy in the audience probably has duel citizenship. My friend in high school parents' were from Ireland and he was the first generation born in America so he has duel citizenship and go back and forth as he pleases. He's currently living in Ireland working as a doctor. Also, Russell is hilarious and great at poking fun at everyone.
India doesn't allow dual citizenship. You lose your Indian citizenship the moment you take up another country's citizenship.

Probably because it's offensive for any ignorant person to speak on something they lack knowledge on. Unfortunately, lots of early comedians used little effort to make jokes about their own ethnic group, or other ethnic groups they grew up with, and now first generation Eastern-American/Canadian and even Native African Comedians are following in their footsteps for easy jokes, instead of offering a different perspective. It's called "Hack comedy".
