    VIDEO SUMMARY
This video discusses crime, deviance, social control, and social order from a sociological perspective. It emphasizes that criminal and deviant behavior is socially constructed and dependent on various factors such as time, age, gender, and cultural norms. The video provides an overview of different sociological approaches to crime and deviance. Functionalist theorists examine the impact of crime on social order and control, while subcultural theorists focus on how marginalized groups create their own norms and values in opposition to mainstream society. Marxist perspectives highlight power imbalances between ruling and working classes, while feminists explore gendered aspects of crime and control. Interactionists emphasize the role of social interactions and labeling in defining deviance, and realist theories advocate for practical solutions to address crime. The video concludes by highlighting the importance of understanding these perspectives in explaining crime and deviance.

i’m literally in such a similar position! hopefully we’ll do great in our a levels. it’s so hard catching up on sm content and not fully knowing how to revise. i bought a whiteboard to help motivate me to do work and it’s pretty good and i do ‘blurting’ on there per topic when i have the energy and it’s rly useful!

Most GCSE content transfers over to A Level realatively fluidly, so yeah probably. Some social theory perspectives might be beyond GCSE like postmodernisim for example.

try to think about how you might answer an exam question using the information -- like how you would word it and structure a paragraph or introduction. You could also think about in what context you would use some of the information
