I saw DUNE part 2 twice in theaters. The scene I believe I know what you are referring to is as Lady Jessica now Reverend Mother enters the cave. Her son Paul Usul follows and the music score changes, dramatically. I knew the moment Paul Atreides said You must think I'm really stupid.... Then the transformation. Scary. "Lead them to paradise" What a great protagonist, Chalamet's performance as the film progresses improves and improves until reaching points where he imposes, the music, the costumes, his relationship with Chani, Everything is well done, how he doesn't want the prophecy to take over his entire being, and he lets it happen, but in his own way, is Incredible, his character from the moment he drinks the water until the end of the film is Outstanding, and his speech is Cinema
After Dune 2, Wonka and Call Me by Your Name, he is slowly becoming one of my favorite actors in general, but there is still time for that. I'd love to check out his other roles to confirm this.

Do not. It's not his worst role, but his worst film so far. Caricatural "medieval" film where everything is shitty and blue-filtred, to serve an historically piece of bullshit. Like the rest of his role choices so far. By the way, maybe you forgot, but you probably saw him, young, in Interstellar (not his best role but one of his best films probably)

Arrival and Only I will remain are true masterpieces. Representing the danger and beauty of a messianic story, from its scary promise, to Paul's realization of what is going to come if he fulfills his duty. Hans Zimmer deserves another Oscar.
I don't know... Messianic? Mother-bred most likely. She's the real atom of evil. She is the one Paul should have killed to see and handle his real fate.

Terrible indeed, while atvthe same time i don't feel him evil nor strong. He's weak indeed, and totally enslaved to his mother. He should have killed her, as harsh as it feels, and all the Bene Gesserit with her. Then he would have embraced a some free fate of his.
