Lol, I remember watching this on TV in 1979, I was 13 years old :)
I was 14 !!!
Same here
I was still only 11.
Loved this show!!!! I was 12 . Still holds up, to me.
Awesomeness thanks so much for this gem
Glad you enjoyed it
Wow!!!! Never heard of this!!!!❤
I remember watching this show when I was a Young kid
I was 12 when this aired in ‘79’….wow, I was blown away. Sadly it only lasted a few episodes before ABC pulled it.😣. This would have made a great “syndicated” series not tied to any one network, but as “syndicated” programming tended to very low-budget and this was no doubt a very expensive show to make, cast and F/X, it was not to be. Thanks to the uploader who found this gem, you took me back some 45 years…my God it been that long…?
Glad you liked it!
Missed this gem when it was broadcast the first time.
It was a big success here in Brazil. I just loved the idea of regular people having their own private spaceships.
There were 19 episodes all broadcast on ABC in 1979.
There was 20 episodes, 16 were broadcast in 1979 on ABC, the show was cancelled midway into its 2nd season (79-80 season) due to bad ratings. The final 4 episodes were shot in 1979 but not shown until the early 1990s on The Nostalgia Channel, and overseas in the UK.
@@guyintenn what was Griffith thinking?

Andy Griffith predicted the future.
Have not seen this for years. What a flashback from 1979. I wonder who played the Bigfoot. What's that big, Mike Obama
Great movie.
Best TV series ever !!!!
Great Quality !!!!!
"OUFFZZSSSS", THE SOUND OF ROCKETMOTORS !☝🚀
Wow❤❤❤
Bigfoot meets Andy Taylor 😂 or is that Ernest T
I've never heard of this show until I stumbled across your page. Damn dude. Where did you find these episodes?
Best TV series ever !!!
Guest star Chewbacca😂
WOW!! i had forgotten about my watching this on t.v. when i was a kid. Thank You for Posting it! i just subscribed to your channel and i also hit the bell thing. :)
Thank you! As a huge Andy Griffith fan, i want to ask if you could also get any "the Yeager family" episodes? I am so amazed and grateful you foumd these!❤
This is where Elon Musk got his inspiration for his own space program.
I would not be surprised…
Fun. But the Bigfoot thing kind of set the pace of the rest of the series.
Didn't The Hulk _and_ Steve Austin fight that same guy? Man I miss those cheesy 70's.
I thought it was the sasquatch also..😅
Where did you get such incredible quality episodes of this show ???
So glad you like them!
Just just found on fb seems good
I know this is Hollywood.
The people ate so close to the rocket. NASA rockets have so much space between the engines and people.
Folks say "Matlock" was good, this shows much better
Wow, our attention spans for entertainment back then 😳.
Great mindless entertainment. Just like being a teenager again!
Dang… hard to believe the leak in the same place as the pilot…
I think this is episode 3 for those of us in the UK. Episode 1 & 2 was the pilot movie in 2 parts. To be honest, I think most viewers would have lost interest in the show after the pilot because they never went back into space
You might be right, but we will never know…
I seem to remember them going to space and getting failed satellites…
@@whochecksthis In a 2 part story called Golden Orbit. (Episodes 6 & 7 of Season One) When you're an eight or nine year old, into sci-fi, you lose interest after the pilot when they don't go back into space and stop watching. It's not like watching Space:1999 or Star Trek and they are in space all the time.
@@gbhxu Yeah a two-parter, it was mildly interesting.
Chip and dales rescue rangers in real life
Ugh. Harvesting Spider Monkeys for the San Diego Zoo as an "adventure" when you have a SPACESHIP. No wonder the series only lasted one season. This is about as gross as "The Last Dinosaur".
If a junkman had the brains and capabilities to build a rocket ship, he would be a successful rocket scientist. NOT a junkman.
Talk about cheesy😂
I am trying to work out if I would have found this funny in 1979, I was sixteen at the time and had just joined the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 military, so didn’t have access to a tv, let alone a tv that could receive American transmissions, I only say this as now I’m 60 I don’t find it funny in the slightest, so either I wouldn’t have found it funny then (which I suspect is the case) or I have lost my sense of humour (which I very much doubt), there doesn’t seem to be any spark between the characters, the lines a delivered deadpan and the actual premise of the show is just so unbelievable (maybe if it was made in the 50’s or early 60’s it might have worked) it just doesn’t have any connection to the audience, it is more slapstick then funny one liners. Sorry America 🇺🇸 but this is a dud.
Oh this was awful
