While searching for the B-25 bomber he flew on Doolittle's raid on Tokyo, Harry discovers an old Japanese soldier who is still fighting World War II. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
One of the best series ever made.
I was 15 and always remembered this show! Thanks for posting ... I'm watching every episode!
how old you now? haha
Man I love these old episodes. I must have missed this one back in the day.
Being a WW2 buff this is my favorite episode of the series
Mako was so good in the movie The Sand Pebbles with Steve McQueen
He received a well deserved Oscar nomination.
Nice show
The problem with this episode is Doolittle's raid ended in China ,Burma was too far to have crashed /landed.
That's why the silk 'Blood Chits' were sewn to their jackets with 'we're your friends' in Chinese.
And no guns on the bombers
@paulbutikofer4284 t o make the planes lighter for take off of the carriers
Great to see Mako again, plus a couple of those other guys were also on MASH a few times.
loved watching this. I was 12 years old when it aired.
Man, I haven't seen this since it first aired!
I remember the show
early 1980s in the uk
Nice episode.
I don't know much about the B-25, but as an aircraft mechanic for 31 years, I know where the flaps are, this aircraft took off, without flaps, not a big deal, one of the Doolittle Raiders did the same thing.
Good show.
Should have lasted longer.
4:45 Harry's bomber jacket looks cool.
How in heaven did that B25 end up in Burma ? It's WAY beyond the range of a B25, even with multiple auxillary gas tanks !

I wish I had a VCR when this series aired (I was only able to record the pilot movie when it was rerun on 6/3/79 using a rented VCR when my aunt came to visit from California) recorded using a UHF loop antenna from WAKR-TV Ch. 23, Akron, Ohio, which is one of two ABC affiliatess that I was able to receive clearly at the time (the other was WEWS Ch. 5 in Cleveland, Ohio) but at the time we just used the built in antennas on my family's TV's, which consisted of the rod antenna for VHF and the loop for UHF and that loop lent itself well for using with a VCR at the time, because the lead wires for the rod antenna would not be long enough to reach from the TV to the VCR, but the loop could be removed and placed on the VCR (or left on the back of the set for easy adjustment and the lead from the VCR still hooked up as it normally would be, with the lead hooked up to the UHF in terminals instead of UHF out allowed for recording, as monitoring the signal was done with the TV tuned to Ch. 4 so all I had to do was disconnect the VHF rod antenna and hook the VCR's VHF output to the TV so I could monitor the recording and of course playback on Ch. 4)
Later on through the '70's into the early '80's I was able to acquire a better antenna setup for use with a VCR to allow for full use (and my aunt still rented VCR's for when she was in town or for the Christmas holiday until she got a portable VCR and was able to ship it when she came to visit, until she finally was able to get me one of my own (but by then my favorite shows from the late '70's had gone into syndication, but my aunt was able to record most of my favorite shows on her VHS VCR to send the tapes to me most of them were recorded from the LA stations (KNXT, now KCBS, KTLA,KABC,KHJ, now KCAL,KTTV) so very few of the early recordings of my favorite shows during the period 1976-1981 were recorded from our local stations during their network runs (most ended up being recorded while in syndication from both here and from Cali) and unfortunately Salvage 1 did not get recorded because it did not get renewed and was never rerun or shown in syndication
But I'm glad that now I have a chance to watch it again on CZcams because back then there was no such thing as the Internet and CZcams
I love the show but the wrong version of the B25. The Doolittle raid used B25B. The B25H had the turret forward and behind the cockpit. The B model had the turret in the back.
19:18 Wow, 1979 a Chi-Com saying ‘God Bless America’…Some Forty-five years later we are about to blow up the planet.
Another 15 years, China will take over our country , using the debt that we we owe them. Japan owns the most, china, second. Who else do we owe?
Great Quality !!! Where did you find this ???
Did anyone else have a crush on Joel Higgins back in the day?
No. But I had a huge crush on Trish Stewart ❤ !
No, I can honestly say that I do not…😏 Now, Trish on the other hand…🥰😘
After leaving Red China Lee Chow went on to run a Chinese restaurant in Manhattan.
