Apple still haven't got fast wireless charging. Split screen ect. I'm not saying the iPhone X is a bad phone I just think the Samsung S8 and S8plus are better and Samsung have got it right and are ahead of Apple with charging,display,split screen ect. Bixby is different to Siri in the way it can operate and do things within the phone. In my opinion Apple are ripping off their customers as I feel the phone is not worth the price tag.

AwesomeTech thats because the demo phone was booted up for the first time. If you have an iPhone, you know why. On a new boot, iOS requires you to enter your passcode first before using TouchID or FaceID, you can use them later on.

Why did they bother making a full-screen display and then slap on thick borders around it to create bezels? Galaxy S8 looks so much better because it's curved edges make it a true edge-to-edge display with zero bezels on the sides. Apple messed up with this.

The Galaxy S8 is 10 times better. I have both phones and I don't see the big deal with the Iphone. I have had the Samsung S8 for over 7 months and has all the features and more and better battery life The face recognition has been around for years. I also added a Mini SD 256GB on the Samsung and feels like unlimited storage space. I love Apple computers no doubt best laptops int he world. But when it comes to phones, Samsung definitely wins

I love how people think this is such innovative device.. For sure, it's a great phone. But it's literally a Galaxy S8 or Note 8 with Apple Branding. Wireless Charging? Wow, android has had that for years. Near bezeless displays? Have had that. Face recognition? Samsung has that and has iris scanning lmao plus it still has a fingerprint sensor 😂. Samsung still kept the headphone jack on the S8 and Note 8 and even squeezed in a stylus.. It even starts at 1000 dollars lmao. For sure I think this phone is great but not worth it. Apple is finally near catching up with other phone manufacturers. Btw Watching on my amazing Galaxy S8+ :)
Moeez Syed cmon now I'm an android user but you know fully well that apple tends to do things late but better in a lot of cases. You can't compare the iris scanner eg to what apple has done. The only thing that Apple may be missing now is fast charging via lightning port.
Roy W Why can't you compare iris scanner? It is a secure and fast way, it works perfectly well. Apple hasn't adopted to USB Type C yet.. They also make a big deal out of wireless charging like c'mon. I have nothing against Apple but they didn't really "innovate" on this phone, only refined it
Seriously? Iris scanner is nowhere near as advanced as Apple's implementation and I have a galaxy s8. The multiple device wireless charging is cool. The good thing here is that it will result in places like Mcdonalds, probably Starbucks etc, having wireless charging pads. Apple catching up in this regard actually benefits us all. For me, the main thing missing is fast charging via lightning..yes they could have switched to USB type C, but then no company likes to shoot themselves in the foot and lose out on revenue from ongoing hardware sales. If it was your company would you want to lose out on the revenue from lightning cable sales?
The finger print scanner is so easy to use on the s8, for me personally. It was a very easy adjustment to interesting change. Without a fingerprint scanner it would be extremely annoying. Nice going apple for getting rid of another frequently used feature! 😁

I've been using apple since first iPhone came out. this year i tried samsung s8+ and i regret that i didn't use it earlier. it is much simpler device, they don't make you pay for music and stuff. you can download anything of the net, they don't make you install third party aplications. i love samsung and it is the best one out there

I'm surprised that with the apparently more "sealed in" design of iPhone X with no SD card slot or even a headphone jack that it can still manage just an IP67 rating compared to the IP68 of Samsung with its additional open ports.

But it does deliver everything and more and on top of that you get mad discounts for trade ins and you'll also get $200+ of gifts. As for the iPhone X, this phone is all but a copy cat with nothing new to show for. Animoji? 4k at 60fp I'll give you that but that isn't worth the price tag. And for $1000 you'll only be getting the 64gb so it's more like $1150+ for more storage. And yes, Apple is copying Samsung and is playing catch up.
MUST READ: I've been an iPhone user for 5+ years. I bought a S8 after having an iPhone 6s Plus. I had the S8 for 2 weeks, and I switched back to iOS and bought an iPhone 8 Plus. Why? I was used to iOS and the iPhone is a million times faster. I miss the S8 so much though. The display is beautiful, the design of the phone is amazing, and so many awesome features. I was just so used to my iPhone. They honestly cant compare though. Ones iOS and ones Android, two totally different worlds. Apple needs to catch up with features, and displays, and software. Android needs to make it less buggy/laggy, and more user friendly. BTW, I have thought about switching back to the S8 because its cheaper, yes slightly slower, but a bang for its buck.

I have a custom desktop with Intel Core i9 7900x Gibabyte Aorus X299 32GB DDR4 G.Skill Flare X RAM GTX 1080 Ti EVGA 850w supernova psu 2TB Samsung SSD 5TB Seagate HDD NZXT Kraken X62 Liquid Cooling system. I also have a Samsung Galaxy S8 but pretty much only use it to text and call with. I don't see the need for sub-par tech in your pocket. That My computer is over twenty times more powerful than the iphone x and galaxy s8. I also have a Canon EOS 1DS Mark III studio camera with 21.1MP and a 29mm sensor size. So I've got the camera covered. The iphone X is high quality and poor performance compared to today's consumer available hardware. And now Apple has even stated that the phone will not function properly in temperatures under 30 degrees. Which is 6 months out of the year in the north. Given it can be fixed via a firmware update. But one that may take a while.
So basically the Samsung S8. I already have a Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III with a dozen EF L lenses so cameras are not important since I'll not be using them. Hardware wise. The S8 seems to take the lead. Display wise. The S8 wins again. I always use my beats headphones. Having that 3.5mm jack is pretty useful. I know too many people who lost their adapters for the iphone and had to shell out a ton of money for another adapter so they could listen to music. Removable memory is also really important since I like to transfer large files and can easily swap an SD card from my computer to my phone. Also. You got the Screen type wrong. The S8 uses (Super Amoled.) Which is just slightly better than the Iphone X. And last but not least. A 6 core CPU versus an 8 core CPU. The S8 has slightly more processing power so that's another win. For half the price.

Why did they bother making a full-screen display and then slap on thick borders around it to create bezels? Galaxy S8 looks so much better because it's curved edges make it a true edge-to-edge display with zero bezels on the sides. Apple messed up with this.

I have had the Samsung S8 for over 7 months and has all the features and more and better battery life The face recognition has been around for years. I also added a Mini SD 256GB on the Samsung and feels like unlimited storage space. I love Apple computers no doubt best laptops int he world. But when it comes to phones, Samsung definitely wins

I love how people think this is such innovative device.. For sure, it's a great phone. But it's literally a Galaxy S8 or Note 8 with Apple Branding. Wireless Charging? Wow, android has had that for years. Near bezeless displays? Have had that. Face recognition? Samsung has that and has iris scanning lmao plus it still has a fingerprint sensor 😂. Samsung still kept the headphone jack on the S8 and Note 8 and even squeezed in a stylus.. It even starts at 1000 dollars lmao. For sure I think this phone is great but not worth it. Seriously? Iris scanner is nowhere near as advanced as Apple's implementation and I have a galaxy s8. The multiple device wireless charging is cool. The good thing here is that it will result in places like Mcdonalds, probably Starbucks etc, having wireless charging pads. Apple catching up in this regard actually benefits us all. For me, the main thing missing is fast charging via lightning..yes they could have switched to USB type C, but then no company likes to shoot themselves in the foot and lose out on revenue from ongoing hardware sales. If it was your company would you want to lose out on the revenue from lightning cable sales?

The finger print scanner is so easy to use on the s8, for me personally. It was a very easy adjustment to interesting change. Without a fingerprint scanner it would be extremely annoying. Nice going apple for getting rid of another frequently used feature! 😁

4) I can fucking have 7 different launcher, 1 for each day, i never get bored of the layout

Wow, very innovative by removing the two most essential thing that was going on your phone. Yes, Note 8 is pricy and even to this day. But it does deliver everything and more and on top of that you get mad discounts for trade ins and you'll also get $200+ of gifts. As for the iPhone X, this phone is all but a copy cat with nothing new to show for. Animoji? 4k at 60fp I'll give you that but that isn't worth the price tag. And for $1000 you'll only be getting the 64gb so it's more like $1150+ for more storage. And yes, Apple is copying Samsung and is playing catch up.

MUST READ: I've been an iPhone user for 5+ years. I bought a S8 after having an iPhone 6s Plus. I had the S8 for 2 weeks, and I switched back to iOS and bought an iPhone 8 Plus. Why? I was used to iOS and the iPhone is a million times faster. I miss the S8 so much though. The display is beautiful, the design of the phone is amazing, and so many awesome features. I was just so used to my iPhone. They honestly cant compare though. Ones iOS and ones Android, two totally different worlds. Apple needs to catch up with features, and displays, and software. Android needs to make it less buggy/laggy, and more user friendly. BTW, I have thought about switching back to the S8 because its cheaper, yes slightly slower, but a bang for its buck.

I also have a Samsung Galaxy S8 but pretty much only use it to text and call with.
I don't see the need for sub-par tech in your pocket. That My computer is over twenty times more powerful than the iphone x and galaxy s8. I also have a Canon EOS 1DS Mark III studio camera with 21.1MP and a 29mm sensor size. So I've got the camera covered. The iphone X is high quality and poor performance compared to today's consumer available hardware.
And now Apple has even stated that the phone will not function properly in temperatures under 30 degrees. Which is 6 months out of the year in the north. Given it can be fixed via a firmware update. But one that may take a while.
So basically the Samsung S8. I already have a Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III with a dozen EF L lenses so cameras are not important since I'll not be using them.
Hardware wise. The S8 seems to take the lead. Display wise. The S8 wins again. I always use my beats headphones. Having that 3.5mm jack is pretty useful. I know too many people who lost their adapters for the iphone and had to shell out a ton of money for another adapter so they could listen to music.
Removable memory is also really important since I like to transfer large files and can easily swap an SD card from my computer to my phone.
Also. You got the Screen type wrong. The S8 uses (Super Amoled.) Which is just slightly better than the Iphone X.
And last but not least. A 6 core CPU versus an 8 core CPU. The S8 has slightly more processing power so that's another win. For half the price.
