PissedOffHoneyBadger youâre the ignorant. The buds have half battery life after a year and are very expensive with the down fall of having to be charged. Lots of people use their phones primarily as an audio player, as you can see from how popular podcasts and audiobooks are, so itâs only normal. Iâm still on the 6s as it still does all I need but Iâm definitely buying the best phone in the market that features a jack when I need a new phone. I also quit Mac as they made the MacBook Pro suck with lack of ports, they donât have top specs available and charge over twice what companies such as Dell charge.
Apple used to be a company made for pros without penalizing good aesthetics. Now they moved on to became an overpriced fashion company that sell their brand rather then their products.

No, I mean letting a piece of technology created in 1878 alone dictate whether or not you should buy a phone. Obviously he has never used an iPhone or doesn't even want to give it a chance without the headphone jack. I switched from a Galaxy S7 (non-edge) to an 8 Plus and I've been perfectly fine without it. I got it in April and I've never had any issues without the headphone jack. Battery lasts all day and I've never once had to swap my headphones out for a charger, vice versa, nor use a dongle. I'm constantly on my phone and always listening to music unless I'm at my college classes. It has about 12 hours of battery life sometimes more if I don't go so heavy on it on it all day. By heavy I mean constant use, not heavy tasks like gaming. I listen to music, make phone calls, and use social media. I have plenty of charge left over at the end of the day.
They have their ups and downs just like any smartphone. I just wish people could quit being so biased. I'm not saying iPhones are the best in the business nor being a fanboy. However, I expect to be called that. *sigh*
I have an iPhone 6 right now but I think Iâm gonna switch to the s9. Iâve used Apple for years and Iâm sick of it..I get stuck with a shitty amount of storage(since itâs so much more expensive to get more + itâs worse when roped into a contract) and just general Apple is getting annoying. Maybe it seems silly but the thing that really got me to switch was when Apple decided to get rid of the headphone jack, they just seem so disconnected from what people actually want and they donât care because they know people will still buy their stuff PLUS their wireless headphones. Ik all large companies donât actually care about people but still they could at least try.

Let's not forget, the new iPhone uses a Samsung OLED screen, which they're paying Samsung $130 per iPhone, which is why the iPhone is more expensive. The Apple camera isn't Apple, they're paying SONY for that camera. All around, it explains why Apple is more expensive.

The S9+ is NOT faster than the X...it has the same processor as the S9. Apple phones have always been faster than Android phones. Not sure why anybody cares...either one is 3 times more power than anything your typical user needs. Only benchmarks show the difference. The software has more to do with this anyway. Apple is a closed system that is more efficient. I still prefer Android because it is more functional. Speed doesn't really play a part for me. Cheaper...that is important...but S9+ is still about $350 too much in my opinion. IPhone is about $600 too much.
Dale Huhtala watch speed test between the S9 or Note 8 vs iphone X. They absolutely TRASH the iphone X os speed and performance. Synthetic Benchmarks are worthless. Real world performance metrics is king and the Note 8 and S9+ absolutely destroy the X.

Yasuke Itâs not Apple taxâŠyou pay for the luxury of owning an iPhone. Guaranteed 3 years of iOS support and an Apple store in all if not most states in the US, something you wonât get with Samsung. Then you need to factor in the phone cost much more to build due to Samsung tax. And every/most piece(s) of tech they have within their phones are from a year to 3 years ahead of android counterparts , such as the A11 being at least 1 year ahead of snapdragon and exynos , and Face ID being at least 2 years ahead of android completely.
There are many benefits you get from using Apple as for android , itâs really just a lot of tech which tend to be gimmicks and customizability which most productive adults donât utilize.

Let it be known, in GAME testing.. not real world - balls to the wall - raw power. The galaxy s9 with the snapdragon 845 and the adreno 640 GPU is an absolute beast in antutu benchmarking and other graphics tests, the S9 score is 1.3X higher consistently in my personal testing.

That is completely subjective. I wouldn't be saying that about Android phones when you've never used/owned one, especially a Pixel 2 XL which is my daily driver right now. In fact, I would say Android is better because you can customize it, you aren't locked in. My friend was a long time iPhone user. She got a Samsung Note 8 and when I tested it out I loved it more than my iPhone XR. I was looking into Samsungâs and found out the themes feature. I showed my friend and we were playing with the themes. It is so cool how Samsung allows you to change their phone to your personal preference.

I recently upgraded to the s9 plus from and iPhone 6 and I love it. The freedom and huge amount of features you get software wise is great and a leap ahead of iOS. Only part that sucks is losing all my purchased content on iOS but in the end I think it's still worth it even if I have to re buy a few things. Honestly I don't think I'll ever go back to iOS unless they somehow manage to progress past android feature wise.

I got the S9+ 4 days ago and its my first android phone in 6 years. My own personal experience, 4days with s9+ was a headache. My facebook messenger isnt working properly the bottom part of the screen was cut, it was so slow on sending videos to my friends and family and my smule app never worked no sounds on the earphones no quit button, no voice filters, nothing! I was so agravated. I guess not all change is for the better. My hopes are really high for the s9+ i have made a big jump from 6years being with iOS and chose it over the iphone X. And it left me with disappointment. But thats just me, its still a matter of preferrences, the fone was great itself it was in fact the most beautiful fone i have ever owned, but... the user experience i had with it esp with the most important apps that i use to communicate with my friends and family overseas, just wonât work for me. Tom. Im gonna have my s9+ returned and get a new iphone x instead. As much as i didnt like getting an iphone x my experience with s9+ left me with no choice. đđ©

I've galaxy s8....I want to switch s9.....not plus model...coz of big screen. ... but I read the specification on gsmarena of both models s8 n s9...there is one cons side of s9 ,it's battery life endurance rating is 78hrs. ..where previous model s8 is 82hrs endurance. ... :( .... so plz suggest me...... should I switch to s9 from s8 or not?
I had the galaxy s3 and 5c in highschool back in the day loved them both and at the time they were both hyped and expensive too then I grew out of the tech obsessed phase after a couple years!
I like the iPhone for it the social benefits of iMessage and FaceTime and camera was better but the galaxy s3 had so much cooler features and a full free android experience and it was a gorgeous phone.

Watching on my Galaxy S9 . I love this gadget from the first time I see it, until I choose and buy it, until today and I've no regret :))
What i disagree with is using benchmarks on deciding which phone is more buttery smooth. I have iPhone 8 Plus (A11 bionic chip) and a s9.
The s9 is more buttery smooth in everyday use (web browsing, CZcams, etc). Although gaming is the least important category (since even cheaper phones perform 100% satisfactory to nearly everyone), They are both equally smooth in gaming. I canât tell a difference between the two.
So the s9 should win in that category or it be a tie. Remember the times where galaxy phones use to beat iPhones in benchmarks but iPhones were smoother? Now its reversed.

Yes it is. I own both and use both everyday. Both are in my pocket. I love both.
When I play games I canât tell a difference in performance. When scrolling the s9 is slightly smoother (barely noticeable).

One plus 6 and s9 are some of the smoothest phones period. No lag at all.
My iPhone 8 plus has stuttered a few times since I had it.

That's no longer the issue with top Android phones. You should try them. You will see that they surpass the iPhone in speed and fluidity. Stop judging things by the past.
Dont get me wrong, the iPhone 10 Is Pretty Good And I for sure would not mind having it, BUT the Galaxy S9..... Oh my god... Absolute Beast With Everything It Comes With. I Got Mine Coming In The Mail & Will Be Here December 25!
