  • Cat D6 Dozer delivered to property and immediately put to use. Terrel cleared all the trees he could and prepped the area for the dozer operator to arrive. It turned out amazing.

As a designer and a conservationist, always bums me when land is scraped bare and made flat. For hundreds of years folks lived with the land, now they plop themselves onto the land. Like city living having flat land. But, y'alls land and can do anything you want and still looking forward to the progression.
Would be amazing to live next door to family. My sister in law has that and they share each others land, mostly her riding horses so has long rides (just over 100 acres of open space together). But, more importantly, having family close.
BTW, all these family roots and connections kind of makes it feel like real live Walton's.

The most valuable people are always so busy that they are in demand elsewhere! Great video, hope all goes well!

Asphalt company I drove dump truck for assigned me to haul 3/4 stone where I met the dozer operator at the time 79 years old a WW 2 vet to boot. Graded a parking lot then the newest Cat 140 grader showed , he unloaded the made two down and back trips then reloaded the grader. When I asked why he said “ don’t even know why I came out here as Sam the dozer operator already finished graded the lot with a WW 2 Cat D-8 cable dozer. He got a brand new Cat D-8 with a ripper the following spring. Worked until he finally died doing what he loved to do. And normally drank a bottle of Jack every day.
    The good old days.

Don't hold your breath! I just drove it up the road with my 12 year old son and my 3 year old son in the cab with me and I gave both of them whiplash in the process...

I would love to see the finished driveway coming up that hill and how it will be built to keep it from washing out. We have a half mile long driveway coming up a hill to our house.(we live on top of a ridge) We struggle with it. The lower part is pretty steep. There is a ditch on one side of the driveway, part of the way up. It helps, but not enough. After last winter's deep snow, we discovered that we need to invest in tire chains for our trucks and tractor. It is a long cold and difficult, slippery walk half mile up and down the ridge to get home.

just found your videos and I am all caught up! Great videos and I look forward to more. Like you I am from AZ (southeast valley) and hope to find a place of our own. We are looking in NE Arizona where it sounds like you started from. BTW, it is sometimes hard to read the words when there is a light background. Might want to try a different color. :)
