You need to take the whole PS4 apart and clean the inside and u might need to change the thermal paste there’s a lot of vids on it and now mine has been working fine
If he can't even say "GIGABYTE" then I guarantee you he doesn't know the difference between "hot" and "overheating", because if the ps4 overheats it shuts down to protect its self from being damaged, if that happens then just doing what he's done in this vid won't fix it, you need to take apart the console and clean it, especially the heat sink and replace the thermal paste for the CPU.
A reason that I love winter is that you can play ps4 for hours and it will stay cool. And a reason that I hate summer is that you play ps4 for 5 minutes and it becomes a radiator.

Im having overheating and shutdown issues when playing ac odyssey. So my question is I have to give up not playing ac Odyssey or Valhalla if I dont want to damage my ps4 pro? Its brand new and I never had an heat issue when I played doom 2016, ac origins, control and ghost tsushima and that too for long hours. its weird how i play red dead 2 and its over 112 gigabytes but it doesn't overheat. but when i play Cod WW11 it always overheats on the first campaighn mission on D-day
It didnt beep for me either but it worked the same what I did was just hold it down till the screen where it shows to plug in your controller using the USB, hopefully that helped
