- The Seneca Eagle Claw 25 is a powerful airgun that really delivers energy on target. How much energy? Well, that’s what we are here to talk about today. We’ll be testing some of H&N’s most lethal pellets, the H&N Hornets and the H&N Baracuda Hunter Extreme, into ballistics gel provided by Clear Ballistics. This year we’ll also be able to see the basic trajectory and the pellet impact right through the scope as we’ll be using the ATN X-Sight 4K Pro Day / Night scope to capture our shots at 120 frames per second!

Would love to see this with slugs i use the 36 grain h&n slugs and get about 930 fps
I like the gun but I want to see what it does with slugs. 950 with an fx and fpe with some heavier slugs. 34-39 gr.
My Eagle Claw came making 55fpe. AV said some .25' made it out w/ .22cal hammer spring. AV sent me a new spring. Now making 88fpe w/ NSA 43.5g slugs. The lighter grain slugs are .249" from NSA and start to spread after 50 yrds. But the 33.5g and 43.5g are .250" and work out to 160yrd for me. Very nice rifle
How did you install the hammer spring?
I seriously wonder what the .25 cal version of the 2500 will put out with slugs. Hopefully H&N will come out with .25 slugs.
The eagle claw is a beast i use the h&n 36 grain slugs in .25 and get 930 fps average
These were a fail in my Eagle Claw, as were the Grizzlys. Nothing H&N works in my Eagle Claw or my Sumatra. H&N has changed as of late. My Hatsan dont even like them anymore, dont know whats up, maybe the chinee making'em now...Get my best results w/ .250" NSA Slugs on Eagle Claw & Sumatra. JSB, PolyMags and Benji domes. I have an old tin of these and the old Baracuda 31g, they work, but they 5 yr old. The new stuff is diff. Grizzlys measure .248", they just too small for my stuff

Well, some pellets dont like to go but so fast. Benji domes will go SS and when they slow down dont tumble, accurate well over a 100yrds in my Eagle Claw as is the JSB. RWS 31g are accurate if i dial it down to 750fps. EJ's dont seem to like going over 850fps. Barrel length twist rate, etc etc all come into play. The rifle is very accurate. Wide open maxed out. PolyMags, JSB and Benji domes, NSA .250" slugs all work great. Dial it down and a slew of brands work, cept for H&N in my .25 cal, slugs like speed of course. Eagle Claw has a great barrel
H&N Hunter extreme 28.24 = 46.39 fpe @ 860 fps
H&N Hornet 24.38 = 50.95 fpe @ 970 fps
Why is the eagle claw in .25 caliber advertising over 70 ft-lbs? Clearly that is not true and I get the same results with a modified umarex gauntlet in 25 caliber.
There are vids of people getting 90 ft pounds with slugs I’ll find a vid and link it

Sorry I never linked but I bought an eagle claw and I get 940fps with 36 grain h&n slugs which is 70 ft lb
