I have lived in the countryside of TX. The dogs are considered “working dogs”. They are hunting dogs. Many people let the dogs run wild. They don’t shoot the dogs. This behavior is considered by many psychologists as psychotic behavior. You know that this isn’t the first dog she’s shot.

As a rescue owner myself, it is unsurprising the dog reacted poorly to such a change in environment, that it was difficult to train the dog to adapt to such an environment, and that the ultimate decision was to return Commander to an environment where he’d feel calm and safe again.
The fact that someone would think that killing a dog (instead of taking responsibility that they put the dog into a situation that would so obviously lead to it misbehavior) proves that woman has no idea about dogs, dog training, has no empathy and no sense of responsibility.
Although I think Commander probably should have been sent home much sooner and was pit under undue stress, the Bidens ultimately did the right and responsible thing in sending Commander home.
