    Note - Small error on my behalf. The controls for Duke Nukem 3d for the original handheld are actually mentioned in the manual.. that I actually read but clearly missed that information. However the controls are still incorrect on the actual on screen device menus. Still referring to L2 which does not exist on the original Evercade handheld.

    Great video as always and this appears to be the first couple of carts that genuinely show up the age and compatibility issues of the OG Handheld. I'm still patiently waiting for a new EXP model, preferably with OG, Taito or even Capcom colours :-)

    Nice to know they work. I've been too scared to try anything new on the classic "Nevercade" lol since Team17 cart went bad. Interesting any way!

    I feel the best solution would be for the select to have a hold function that changes L and R to become L2 and R2. Pretty neat to see them playing on the OG.

    I really wish Blaze had just done an updated EXP but just kept the original shape and colour of the OG Evercade , it's a lot more comfortable to play on.

      I’m thinking the old one looks nicer too. Exp is kinda bland.

      @sandman8920 I wished they'd kept the retro feel. EXP is too generic.

    Take it my comment the other day inspired this video lol glad you covered it as I don't have a exp

      Lol yes it definitely inspired me. I initially did just check for you, but thought it was worth doing a video for.

    I didn't know why they wouldn't, the EXP and EXP-R have the exact same h hardware specs

    My inquiry..i always have at least one question..there's quite a few 32bit games released on these multicarts..mixed in with the 8bit and 16bit..we cant test them all on the original handheld..no CZcamsr is going to make an hour video on that..but we can use our common sense as these few 32bit games work..so others will too albeit a little slower and occasionally a touch laggy..but they will all run.. adequately.. I'll go with that

    Yet more problems then? I'm so glad I decided to stop buying Evercade games earlier this year.
    Having been put off by the EXP I had considered carrying on buying all the new carts to play on the original handheld but if they don't work properly on it due to the lack of R2, L2 buttons then there's no point and I made the correct decision.

    I see that even the Evercade VS is missing two analog sticks.

      @stevemahoney5209 Hard to say if the EXP was rushed. It definitely needs more testing. The Super Pocket works better in many aspects. Just not the shoulder buttons.

      I just tried it on my original Evercade and the first DN cart loads , but it refuses to start either game . Button presses don't seem to register consistently either .

    Controls for original handheld is in the nice manual that comes with the game. So... Good to read it before making videos?

    • @CrazyBurger
      @CrazyBurger  Před 8 měsíci +1

      My bad on that one. But doesn't excuse the incorrect information on the actual device though does it? Duke 3D doesn't work well by using the select button as the hot key.

    • @CrazyBurger
      @CrazyBurger  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Side note - The manuals do not refer to any alternative buttons for strafing in Duke Time to kill and Land of the babes.

    • @danielcaetano5251
      @danielcaetano5251 Před 8 měsíci

      Yes. Information on the device should be context dependent. I am fine with important information being in the manual, since it was like that back in the day. I agree though, it could be better. On the other hand, it would be sad if they decided not to release Duke Nukem for the OG Evercade because of the lack of R2 and L2. I don't have the EXP.

    • @CrazyBurger
      @CrazyBurger  Před 8 měsíci

      I suppose at least they found a way to get it working on OG (Duke 3d) but will certainly be more challenging. Changing weapons quickly won't happen.. with the other games possibly not a big issue not being able to strafe left and right.. again just be more of a challenge.
