Really appreciated your video covering the Delphine cart. Put it in the proper perspective after the high that was Full Void.
Greetings! Awesome I'm glad to help. Some of the recent collections like Delphine definitely needed a little bit extra to help people get started. If you didn't play these back in the day then definitely a bit of a challenge. Home Computer Heroes is the same. Full Void is definitely easier to play than the games it immitates (Flashback, Another World).
"This is the cart you are looking for ...". I'll be picking this one up for sure. Two of the best, janky tomb raider alikes on PS1 and the awesome GB Advance FPS that should sell a crate load of super pockets. What's not to like :-) Keep up the awesome work!
@@CrazyBurger- They're referring more to how the display on the Super Pocket is much brighter than that of the GBA systems, would turning on the scanline filters maybe help with that somewhat?
@JohnnyProctor9 yes by default it is turned up to compensate for the gba not having a back-lit screen. Also if you save your settings in game (not using save states), gamma always reverts back to high setting when you load your save.
Cheers, I was a wee bit older than that.. By the time Duke Advance came out I'd probably parked my Gameboy Advance to play Xbox and Gamecube stuff. The Duke Nukem PS1 games I vaguely recall playing them, possibly demos at least. Definitely over shadowed by the Tomb Raider games.
@@CrazyBurger lol, a fair point. Switch still gives us N64 games to play, though; Good Enough seems generally within reach. I suppose Evercade might not have enough buttons.
@@chfgn I think it could possibly play a specific game but yeah you would run into difficulties trying to map all the buttons, the camera button etc on more complex games. We are unlikely to see N64 on Evercade.
Hey just ordered an EXP. I saw an older video by another CZcamsr who said some of the older carts have trouble fitting in the EXP. You seem to be THE evercade expert, do you know if this is right and which carts are effected? 👍🏻👍🏻 Cheers mate really liking the videos
Hi mate, welcome.. so tight carts shouldn't be a thing for new users. This related to the initial batch of carts launched in 2020 that were vert tight fitting Into the EXP that launched end of 2022. So for you joining now, you'll probably no have this easy with any carts purchased.
Loved all 3 of these games back in day. I'd love to be playing both carts right now but blimming Argos hasn't sent them out for delivery yet. Ugh. Never been let down by Argos with evercade games before until yesterday. So anxious to play the remasters now lol.

I’m LOVING the tomb raider style Duke games. Like a mix of two of my favorite games. I have some issues with loading save states tho. Not sure if anyone else is experiencing that…
This is the one I'm looking forward too. Games look great on the EXP. As for the content being something that wouldn't fly in modern times...GTA V had a lot worse. I'm glad they left these games as they are though instead of dicking about with censorship as they did with Gaelco. In general I think games should be presented as they were. I don't need Blaze or anyone else to be a moral compass.
GTA V was still 10 years ago. Duke games are tame really in comparison to even that. I think just looking at the Duke games.. not sure a title of Land of the Babes would wash these days. Its very much a 90s title. All very much tongue in cheek obviously. We definitely live in different times. Good or bad. The nudity in Glass is completely pointless. It served no purpose. So wasn't bothered at that. Though censoring Squash seemed a bit heavy handed. Lol also pointless topless girl right enough.
Duke Advance on the Evercade has unplayable framerate (you're playing on an easier difficulty which has less enemies, so it runs better than usual). For some reason the EU version (which is the rom Blaze is using) slows to single digit framerates in specific areas. The US version does not do that and is 20 times smoother (on higher difficulties with lots of enemies). I experimented with both roms on the 3DS Virtual Console.
@CrazyBurger I couldn't play anymore once I got to the train level. Soon as I opened the door, the frame rate was 1 frame a second. My shots wouldn't even register till after I pressed the fire button about six times.
@@CrazyBurger I wasn't really that familiar with the Evercade - I just got my head around it now. Shame, as Nintendo allowing N64 emulation and licensing Zero Hour would have made a nice trilogy for this set.

They really need a desaturation filter for GBA games. They just weren’t intended for modern bright screens.
Not meant for large tvs but play and look fine on the handhelds or small monitors.

Shame the Evercade doesn’t seem capable of N64 emulation. Duke Nukem Zero Hour would have been a great inclusion.
Not many things are capable of perfect N64 emulation. Not even the Switch.

Yes, the 8 bit do controllers work well.

Interesting.. but how many people would actually know or notice? Probably not that many. I'm playing on the default difficulty.
