    Great video, it pains me as to how underrated you are, they way you recorded the video and the way you explain what’s going on throughout was amazing, I also love how you’re replying to practically every comment. I literally plan on doing everything in this vid (other than the light bar) to my moms 19 Santa Fe, plus the front and rear turn signals, and this vid would do a perfect job helping me do so. Keep up the tremendous work🔥💯

    Hey Stan - Great video, thanks so much. I have always put the LED bulbs in my cars, great upgrade. The place where your video was SO important to me though is that I bought one of those light bars for the back of my Santa Fe but it didn't come with any directions. Aside from the wiring, the installation of the piece is the same and I couldn't figure out how to get that back panel off. I had to slow your video down to 25% speed (LOL) to follow along slowly, but it got me there. Also putting it back together I noticed that you had a couple of the panel clips that were stuck in the body that you took off with the tool and put them back on the panel. Same thing happened on mine and I would have never known to do that. I just subscribed and will watch your other videos as time goes on, but wanted to say THANKS!

    • @StanMisiano
      @StanMisiano  Před rokem +1

      Yeah, the wire isn't very long but I was able to get it taken care of. The video is an uninterrupted shot of the process, so you an see what exactly I did to switch them out. Just unscrew the cover, pull it down as much as possible, then hold the plug and twist both the bulb and cover, and you should have enough room to get it out of the socket.

      They're working perfectly so far, I've been using these brands for years on multiple previous vehicles and never had an issue either. Nice touches! I would love to see the genius of raising the turn signal lights on the lower rear bumper up to the actual tail light housing. Has anyone explored that? IMHO, those low rear turn signals are a safety hazard, in that they may very easily slip below hood line (of sight) of many vehicles, esp. trucks with a high front end.

      It isn't just 'looking' out of place, Stan. I've been rear-ended before because a high-hood line vehicle couldn't see me, my lights or whatever. This just invites the same problem. Realize you were working on a Calligraphy. I've been in the market for a Santa Fe Hybrid Limited. Glad they didn't go forward with the formerly planned grille mod. Still, however, with this turn signal dumbness, the goofy, unclean design of the rear bumper, fake exhaust spoofs, reflector city and those God-Awful hybrid alloy wheels ... It's like the designers lost their focus, so just started slapping on stuff, with style and functionality as afterthoughts. Interior A- (those pushbuttons), Front - okay; Sides- nice; Rear - WTF? So, I think the 2023/4 Honda CRV Sport Touring Hybrid (admittedly a different kind o' car) just got a new customer. Given what you started with, I do appreciate your cleanup on the Calligraphy; however, $40K+ to $50k+ off-the-floor shouldn't come with built 'needs to modify.'
