Idk why the lakers arent considering Phil Handy, he is the perfect candidate in my opinion he can help the young guys develop like Rui,Austin Max and Jalen, and he has the continuity with the front office, players he has Brons and AD respect and during the playoffs he looked like he was trying his hardest to coach while not stepping on Hams toes, i saw in game 5 he had way more emotion and was coaching up the team way more then Darvin to me he should be the head coach

Trevor’s analysis on AD is 100% spot on - we don’t need a true big center to consistently play the 5 for 25-30mpg, we need a decent big center who can SOMETIMES play 30min in a given matchup and sometimes play only 10-15min in a given matchup. Someone like Jaxson Hayes isn’t dependable enough to play for 30min against quality playoff opponents. We need to find that perfect middle/lower tier center who gives us this versatility with a level of dependability. Jonas is too expensive I think and also he doesn’t have good mental temperament when he’s not playing consistent minutes and isn’t getting his shot attempts. Need a more unselfish center

The problem with keeping AD 95-100% in the center position has made him reluctant to shoot more from the outside cause in that position, it’s less called for. This has in turned ruined his flow, rhythm, shot, and reps. This is why he can’t shoot the ball from range effectively. You have to slot him back to PF so we can get the complete dominant AD back. The reason why AD was in consideration to be one of the best in the world was because of his complete game!!

But 25 years ago 99% of players would have chosen lakers over every other team. Now they don’t. Coaching the Lakers does not have any cache’ anymore. Look what Ty Lue and Jason Kidd are doing. Resigning with current teams. I can not stand the Clippers but you’re completely out of your mind if you think they are still looked at like they were owned by Donald Sterling. I wish the Lakers were still looked at like they used to be but they do not have the track record they used to have and the resources they have now have to pay trusts for like 20 family members first. They get turned down left and right by coaches and players anymore. LeBron and his agent run the team, and once he’s gone it’s going to be a long hard road that Jeannie Buss will not be able to manage. Am going to state how all this went downhill. It all started with Vogel. And his mid season obsession with small ball. By the beginning of the playoffs, it was clear Lakers would win the Chip, my only worry was that the credit would go to Vogel and he would stay another season.
That team could have won three chips. But Vogel started a mid season obsession with small ball. And gradually relegated McGee and Howard into meager roles. In 34 mins combined. These guys were given like 28 and 18 rpg. Yet after every great Howard game, Vogel would bench him the next game.
Since Lakers Nation were so blind to Vogels inadequacies and how vastly different he was from the Indians Vogel, I hoped he would get a chance with another team to show how horrible he is. The super team Suns showed that.
The frustration reached a peak when we were playing Denver and we would have leads and Vogel would take out Howard for Caruso whilst Jokic was still in the game. And we would blow leads promptly. I love Caruso, we all did but Caruso should have been coming in for a guard not for Howard. We did win the Chip which we would have won with any coach and Vogel got the credit even with horrible lineups throughout the season. I know I wasn’t the only one frustrated.
Pelinka saw this disregard by Vogel of Howard and McGee and chose to sign a stretch Center which Vogel likes. This marked the beginning of the end. Marc Gasol shouldn’t even. Have been in the league at that time. He would give us 4ppg if we are lucky. And Ad was moved to Center to help Vogels stretch Center fetish. and we never could get by Denver again.
Minnesota proved me right, no body on the nuggets had a double digit rebound because they had bugs all over the floor. AD SHOULD BE PLAYING PF AGAINST THE NUGGETS.
I know not the only person who noticed all this. So sad

Personally my solution would be take AD and Lebron, have them make their top 5 coaches independently from each other. Then come together and talk about why those coaches on their list and go from there. Now as for roster, they need a center, big strong center. They need 2 of them that will actually see minutes. Lakers have the guards position and forward positions set.
