- Hello darlings! Thanks for tuning in. Today I open up about my experience with fibroids & how they returned after doing an open myomectomy 6 months ago. I recently had a laparoscopy done (1 month ago) to be exact to remove the newly formed fibroids. This video is definitely the most personal video I have ever done & one which I thought I would never have to do, but I decided to share my story for anyone who might be going through the same thing.

And yes your diet has a lot to do with fibroid, I don't know why doctors won't admit this fact. I had a an open myomectomy in 2019 after trying and failing to shrink them naturally. So after the surgery the I decided to do my best not to let them grow again, so I changed my eating habits and two years after, It didn't grow back yet, all thanks to God. I would advice you incorporate ginger and turmeric in your diet. If possible take ginger and turmeric tea whenever you are on your period. I do that always I believe it has helped a great deal. I pray for courage to share my story as well as what I have done to prevent them from growing again someday.. Love from Nigeria ❤️❤️

I had the same problem before my two boys. I found the following all used together helped me in shrinking the fibroids. It took a lot of discipline. 1. Cutting out sugar 2. Eating a mainly plant based diet and only organic animal products (food as close to the source as possible) 3. Fertility massage/ Maya massage 4. Apple cider vinegar shots each morning 5. Probiotic supplements 6. Prenatal vitamins 7 Dry body brushing 8 Naturally derived skincare and make up 9. Naturally derived household cleaning products. 10 Weekly detox baths 11. Not sure how many you had or how big but, I too did 8 out of 10 of what you did plus used herbal tinctures for years and they shrank and then got bigger 😲. I was so discouraged that I started to lose discipline. I am considering surgery and then maybe starting over again. Lord Jesus help!!!

Also read as much as you can on estrogen dominance. Fibroids are as a result of estrogen dominance. Everything will be alright.
I feel you girl... I went through the same thing 4 years ago. I did the myomectomy and have a child a year later. Thank be to God it didn't grow fast. So it allows me to get pregnant. I suggest to get pregnant right away if you want to have kids. Sign- Classmate from High school

@@sheygiya13 Really? I just had mine done on the 3rd of this month and I was told by the doctor ( he goes by the title Professor) in Krakow Poland that I have to wait till after two years to get pregnant. 24 fibroids (big and small) were taken out of my system
I’m a little over 2 weeks post op. I’m still terrified. My myomectomy was the worst experience ever, so full of complications. I’m so scared of having children and of the fibroids returning, but I’m keeping my eyes on Jesus. 🥺😔🙏🏻

Hi, sorry. I was left hemorrhaging after the initial surgery, forced to go back into the OR the next morning. They took so long to figure out I was hemorrhaging that almost all my blood was gone. It was hard to get an IV in for the blood transfusion as my veins were nowhere to be found. The entire process was hell for me. Completely unbearable. After the second surgery, they needed to leave a Jackson Pratt drainage on me. That stayed on me for over a week. I began to develop a fever while in the hospital so they placed me on antibiotics. Once I was home, the antibiotics made me sick causing me to throw up. After the Jackson pratt was removed I had to be checked weekly, and another complication arose some time later, where I was collecting fluid on the inside of the surgical area. Thank God it all cleared out with time but it was a slow recovery and til now it’s been pretty slow. (On the 12th of January it should be 3 months) I still feel some pain, kind of like light bruising or soreness in the area, but nothing compared to the beginning. I’m on the better side of it all now. I still take it easy tho. Honestly, I don’t think the complications that occurred to me where part of the average experience. So I wouldn’t be too worried. My complications felt like a lack of preparation from my doctor, arrogance from my nurses, and maybe even a weakened state of body due to the fibroids causing me to bleed a lot a month prior to the surgery.

I been suffering with fibroids for decades never got helped until I was in my 30s it took me too loose almost all my blood.. 1.3 hemaglobin still surprised I'm still here than God, I met my wonderful doctor 🏥 the next day, she my angel she offered to do my surgery, I had to get and and emergency biopsy after that my doctor did a myomectomy on me I had 40 fibroids and she removed them all and fixed my uterus, I went without help for so long thinking I was protecting my womb and I won't going to get a hysterectomy, but my doctor eased my mind told me about the options and uplifted Me to start taking better care of myself the healing process is hard for me but I can move a little bit just painful

My fibroids were getting so big that I look 7 months pregnant. I started juicing with veggies and some fruit. I add fresh ginger too. I noticed that if I eat sugar they start to balloon up. Have cut out sugar, gluten and dairy too. Fibroids feed off these. My stomach looks and feels way better. My bleeding has improved too.

Update. Fibroids are all gone. I actually found someone on CZcams. Dr. Berg. I took his advice and did Keto. Also Intermittent fasting. The fasting I chose was 16/8. Its where you eat only in an 8 hour window..i would eat between 11-7pm. Then fast the other 16 hours. I gave up all sugar except some fruits. Gave up all carbohydrates too. My fibroids disappeared about 2 months after starting the program. The only downside is i bled for 1 month straight as the blood from fibroids left my body. Some days were heavy but there was no cramping. I no longer have any fibroids bloat. Make sure you detox liver too. You can learn how to do that on Dr Berg channel. You can have 2 cheat days a week. Just stay away from a lot of added sugar and processed foods

The dr told me they grown about 1-2 cm a yr. Yet my biggest one is 9cm. I'm so confused because I randomly had horrible pain within these past few months. I pray you stay well!

I learned last year that I was anemic when I went back to the doctor in February of this year my doctor stated that my anemia was worse and advised that I get an ultrasound done. I found out at the beginning of this week that I have some pretty large fibroids. I’m doing research for dietary changes I can make to hopefully shrink them and making an appointment to see a gyno to see what my options are. God bless!!!!

I have listened, my intuition tell me they didn’t remove or see everything during that first surgery. It happens and sometimes if they think it is life threatening they will leave them alone. MRI shows everything, ultrasound is not reliable. Sounds like they only went off the ultrasound. I did transvag, ultrasound and MRI. Ultrasound show 4, MRI said 8 plus multiple small ones. I never heard of fibroid returning so fast...I hear the 🇯🇲 accent. Big up thanks for sharing your story. I will be facing this in a few weeks.

I have recently been diagnosed with fibroids. I have a appt booked in the next few weeks for a hysteroscopy to confirm exactly how big my fibroids are and how many as i have only been told i have a "few" and one being 5cm. Tumeric, Garlic, Onion and Ginger in... Cut sugar and trans-fats out. That's what I've learnt. Also, cutting down on wheat products can significantly help with bloating.

From all my research, fibroids come from some genetics that cause us to metabolize estrogen using an unfavorable pathway in the liver called 16-OH. It's considered the proliferative pathway. Hence, causing estrogen to grow more things and it's not good for the uterus or the breasts. The 2-OH pathway is ideal and eating loads of cruciferous vegetables means that we can use an enzyme from these vegetables called di-indole methane. This works in Phase 1 liver detoxification and uses the 2-OH pathway. We can also take a rather inexpensive supplement called DIM.If you are one who has constipation, then you also want to take Calcium D glucarate to make sure that you don't re-release the used estrogen and re-circulate it. If you already have large and painful fibroids, this method won't make them go away. But if yours are small or you have recently had them removed, then this should help keep them from growing.

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I found out a few weeks ago that I have 1 fibroid and it’s 5cm. Now I’m a pretty healthy human being and exercise is part of my daily routine but I’m 41 and still haven’t had children. The gynecologist said the latter is one of the causes for fibroids to develop. I would’ve never known I have a fibroid because it never bothered me in terms of feeling tired or pain. But I’ve been bloated and gassy and experiencing constipation. I was never worried about the constipation and bloat because I have IBS-C and these symptoms typically comes on when I don’t stick to my low fiber diet. But my last period continued for much longer than normal &and just when I thought it stopped a day latter I experienced a sudden burst of blood flow and then it stopped. That’s when I knew something is wrong. My gynecologist took a vaginal ultrasound and immediately saw the fibroid.
At first I was worried but I’m a woman of faith, I keep praying for calmness and wisdom to handle this. I also keep busy and continue my exercise routine. I’m not lifting heavy though, my gynecologist advice no bending exercises because it can send blood flow to the fibroid which then cause it to increase. I’m not sure if this is true but that’s what she said.

I thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your story with us. My husband and I lost our son due to a early birth at 17 wks. When I got pregnant, My fibroid grew bigger than immediately baby and it left no room for my baby. It went from 11.8cm to 16cm and now its 13.3cm (I took a DUTCH hormone test,change my eating and used the results from the test to take the vitamins that my body needed). I am terrified of surgery mainly because of my experience with my pregnancy and not being listened to by the medical world. The placenta was left in my body for 1 month after giving birth to my son, which could have been a life threatening situation. Only by the grace of God, I didn't get an infection, fever or anything my body got rid of the placenta through hemorrhaging, felt like I was in labor all over again. Now Im talking to to different Dr to decide on the surgery to remove this vampire in my stomach.

Thanks for your vulnerability. I have to get my surgery done soon I have over 8 fibroids, the largest is about the size of a grapefruit/small cantaloupe. I've put the surgery off for such a long time, but at the point where that's no longer an option. I'm terrified as it will be my first surgery. I will say diet and exercise have helped throughout the years. This was helpful. 🇯🇲

@@mrsjrenae4738 Right!!! I was about to schedule the laparoscopic one myself and then stumbled across that. It's harder to find open myo Drs. Seems most have spent a fortune on that DaVinci machine and are still keen on using it in spite of risks to us all.
They don't know if your fibroid is cancerous until AFTER they remove it and spread those cancerous cells around your body. So they have no assurances to offer you before then. It sucks because that does increase recovery time & scar. So like you, I'm still carrying around my bowling ball. Lol

Because it was open the cancer spread to her intestines, stomach, and other parts of her body. She told me to do close surgery. Her doctors mandated her to do laser or closed surgery never open. My other been dealing with cancer for 22 years now. 18 surgeries after her hysterectomy has been closed or laser to prevent cancer from developing or spreading. So I am considering laparoscopy. But, it’s the doctor and how they do the procedure. There are many videos on the procedure itself. Watch as many before going to the doctor. So you can ask good questions like how do you do the procedure. Do you do it like this or that?? How long does it take you?? How many have you done?? How surgeries you do in a day?? That one is important. When you ask these questions, you are letting the doctor know how aware you are. Always tell a doctor you have spoken to another even if you haven’t so the doctor can really have the right conversation with you about you and what your concerns are and not just what they think and their way. Because a lot of doctors are jumping on the bandwagon because of the high demand for laparoscopy, but are not really familiar with the proper way of doing it. I hope y’all find a good one for yalls. Certain foods increase their growth.Also, I had my second child with fibroids and one of them was about 6cm, and it was a natural delivery. It depends on where it is located. Great video ...thank your for sharing your journey. It's something how doctors will immediately resort to surgery. I'm going through this right now, been in this condition for over a yr and the option provided unto me was a hysterectomy. My largest fibroid from what I understand is 5cm so I'm not sure why I can't go with less invasive options. I do understand it's possible and common for them to come back so idk ... currently working on increasing my blood and iron levels because it's super low so I can't have any surgery at this time even if I wanted to. I may try natural options while I still have a little time.

I would highly recommend getting a second or even third opinion before having a hysterectomy. You may be able to have a myomectomy instead. Not all doctors provide the same options or have the same expertise.
@bellageorgetown7403 I got more than one opinion ..it all pointed to the same thing. I had multiple blood infusions and almost bled to death. I did have surgery, and life is soooo much better ❣️❣️ I don't regret it as my hubby and I are done having babies.

Ladies let me tell u, i have a 13cm fibroid, had MRI done because U/S does not show everything, thanks be to the Lord that my Gyne is very experience, so we did open myomectomy( im a health care provider so I fid not want a laparoscopy) because you can remove the small ones, laparoscopy wont remove the tiny ones which mean they will eventually grow back, so avoid yourself the nightmare, there are consequences like having adhesions but you can eliminate them by massaging the are and doing castor oil packs. I changed my diet and for a good 5yrs life was fantastic, no pain, no heavy periods, unfortunately, last year I got sick and couldnt exercise, exercise along with water intake and a good diet will get rid of the estrogen dominance in the body, so they have started to grow, severe bleeding, huge blood clots, unfortunately got pregnant withour knowing and just went thru the miscarriage due to the fibroids like a week ago. Since they have to do so many u/s to look at that you have no retain tissue, i started taking parsley tea to clean the uterus and finally the fibroids are shrinking, morning: ginger/celery/one lemon/ one orange/ spinach for breakfast to support uterus and iron levels, afternoon: orange, half banana, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, half a beet, will help with circulation and blood recovery. Avoid strogen, have a lot of fiber to help keep your system moving and a shot of apple cider vinegar every other day when you are no juicing, losing weight and exercise is key guys. do all of that im avoid yourself a sx, i have luckily havent required any since 2015 and im just preparing my womb again for my rainbow baby, but first im in a journey to lose the weight, hydrate my body and provide it with good nutririon

It sounds like the surgeon didn't remove all of the fibroids the first time. Get an MRI in addition to both ultrasounds to be sure.
I’m so sorry for your pain. I hope you’re fully recovered. I did a vaginal ultra sound and I have 8cm fibroids and anaemic due to heavy periods. Mine is next to my back so my belly isn’t big. If I didn’t do the ultrasound they wouldn’t know so I agree it’s important to get referral for the vaginal ultrasound. I have surgery in a few months and came on here to see if there was any video to help. Thank you, I’ll be doing the keyhole surgery after 3 months of injections to shrink it.
How did your body react to the injections? Any side effects?
@@simplychic83 It was sending me into early menopause. I had hot flashes, one minute I was hot, next minute I was cold. I also wasn't able to move the right side of my neck and right arm and was in excruciating pain which I thought was a mini stroke but my GP said it wasn't and gave me some powerful pain killers and I was able to use my right arm after a week. I also had mood swings. Thankfully my period came back but my surgery was cancelled and I will need to do the injections and MRI all over again I'm not looking forward to it.

@@simplychic83 Oh no I'm so sorry. I understand. Everyone reacts differently to Zoladex injections. 11 cm would need shrinking if you wanted to do a laparoscopic myectomy. The best way to go about it is to discuss all the options available with your GP and weigh up all the pros and cons then choose the one that's best for you. I have another MRI scan tomorrow to see if mine has shrunk. My GP says if there's complications during the laparoscopic myectomy, they will have to do open surgery or even a hysterectomy which I really don't want. I've also change my diet and eliminate dairy due to the hormones it contains. I've cut out red meat and mainly eat seafood, fruits and vegetables and good carbs. Hope yours go well. Sending you hugs.

I did Open surgery (Myomectomy). THe surgeons decided on this option because of how the fibroids were situated. I had fibroids underneath muscles. Initially it was to be a laparascopy but the Myomectomy was the best decision. My experience: The doctor said I had more endometriosis than was expected so luckily it was an open surgery. I recovered slowly I still have a tender spot on my tummy but otherwise I am back to normal life.

I wonder if you need find new doctor? How did they miss extra fibroids when they were doing surgery on you? Don’t be discouraged, it will be ok! ❤️ find better doctor and surgeon. Fibroids are caused by several things, one being estrogen dominance. You didn't fix the problem which is why they grew back so quickly. Changing your diet will also help them to not grow back.
Wow, this is similar to my story.. I had myemactomy in January this year.. In July (just 6 months after) I went back for my 6 months check up, the Dr told me they are growing back 😭.. I also didn't have them a year before the myemactomy (or maybe they were very very tiny and they wouldn't have bothered me), the doctor told me it was because of the birth control that I started using just 6 months before the discovery.. He said something like the pills I used had estrogen something something so it made them grow
Hi, I am a boy and two years ago when I was 15 years old, I had single incision laproscopic surgery through umbilicus/belly button for removal of appendix organ. I had severe pain for nearly 2 weeks, but after complete recovery I feel good, but when I wear tight pants I have pain on the operated region. I have visited the doctor who has done the surgery, but she used to examine and say it is normal after surgery. Do you have the same pain?

Thanks for your story 🙂, I had a hysterectomy because my fibroids were too big. Before treatment, my fibroids was 30 cm, the size of a small watermelon! Before surgery, it shrink down to 20 cm to prepare for surgery. I had to get a hysterectomy because I waited too long and my fibroids were just too large! And then I didn't know I had fibroids until I was 35, and by this time my fibroids were already big and getting bigger. I talk about my fibroid journey before and after surgery. 3cm is very small I’m shocked she would tell you to remove your entire uterus , I would seek other opinions before getting a hysterectomy
3 cm is small. Get another OBgYn ASAP!! I can't believe they would even offer this without even asking if you would want kids... or even if you don't, that is your body. I had 2 myomectomy. 3 cm is small, if you can find a good acupuncturist, when done properly they can help shrink them . Speak to a nutritionist and stsy away from stress, people don't mention it enough. I been through it twice in 9 years and still have a new one 9cm, my acupuncturist can't shrink it but the side effects is much more gone and I sleep better at night
Don’t do it. No one really recommend removal cause it is so small let alone uterus removal. Don’t do it and if you want to, depending on where it is located, you can do key hole surgery

Thank you for this. You’re so brave. I too suffer from the symptoms of fibroids. The doctors here in Jamaica 🇯🇲 all support the myomectomy or even a hysterectomy for the treatment of fibroids. I’m 40 years old and want to preserve my fertility so I’m not interested in any of those options. So I’ve been doing my own research which led me to a procedure called Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE). My research indicated that this procedure is far less invasive with no scarring and is designed to cut the supply of blood to all the fibroids. I often hear work colleagues who had the myomectomy surgery say that their fibroids returned after a couple of years but I’ve learnt through my research that it’s not that they returned, it’s that a myomectomy can’t necessarily remove all the fibroids (depending on their location in the uterus) without causing further damage. So the fibroids that are left behind start to grow even more, causing your symptoms to present themselves again. Unfortunately the UFE is offered in Jamaica 🇯🇲 so I’m considering having it done in the 🇺🇸. I’m a firm believer in listening to your body, knowing all your options, getting 2nd and 3rd opinions and do your own research.
UFE runs the risk of infertility. I know they say 1% but it still isn't more effective as a myomectomy. Also I've seen women say they don't shrink or get rid of the Fibroids.
UFE is being offered in Ja now by Dr. Kurt Gabriel. Has my consultation today.

What is the lady's name who you spoke about who got 10 surgeries. I had 2 and have now a hig 9cm fibroids. I lovebyour testimony, it gave me some more hope (my last surgery was in 2018, first one was in 2009). The stress can make them grow bigger as it is said by a testimony I watched years ago is that our body carries a potential tumor, stress is a HUGE factor in the fibroids as it deals in our womb.
