Respect to the hammers. My favourite away fans in terms of noise and numbers ....although sketchy af in 80s down green street. I later lived in area, in Plaistow, played footy in Sunday league etc but West ham was great club proper fans and community club like us

I'm an Arsenal fan and even though we had our fair share of hardmen over the years, I've got to doff my cap to Dunc. Proper scary dude, would've clumped Roy Keane.
I'd imagine he seriously wanted to take him out, but he held back for the team 👍
Remember when Keane was having a go at him for elbowing scholes but wouldn't look him in the eye. Nobody scarier than big Dunc.

watched it at home, could feel the atmosphere it was electric ive always said it was the best atmosphere I've ever seen at Goodison, we need that back

30 years old and growing up big Dunc was my hero, and he still is... all these managers have been coming and going who don’t understand the club and the fans aren’t connecting with the team! Give big Dunc the top job and make everyone’s dreams come true! We’re Tired of seeing the midfield jogging around getting paid more money than I’ll make in a lifetime, money that comes from us buying shirts and tickets. Make dunc the boss and he’ll give them all a kick up the backside. When we hooked Moise Kean about 10 minutes after bringing him on people were confused but true blues know that we need that right now, our team doesnt try and they have had the last 5 managers sacked, it winds me up. LONG LIVE BIG DUNC. Imagine him taking us to Wembley or Europe! Couldn’t do any worse than 10th!

My first derby as an 8 year old was that night game he scored his first, When he slides there is a ginge at the, rideout slid for the second and my older cousin carried me out on his shoulders - didn’t think that atmosphere would ever be beat, was in the Gwladys for the Utd game and gotta say it just pipped it for me as the best atmosphere I’ve witnessed at goodison - night game with big dunc playin against one of those is so thin special

I met Duncan at my mate Howard Martin’s ‘Blue BBQ’ in Oswestry in 2019…..what an absolute gentleman….time for everyone….great man and up there with great Everton centre forwards….and how we love our centre forwards at Goodson….as my Dad (RIP) said….‘he’s like Dave Hixon was….they keep him in a cage and feed him on raw meat until Saturday’….😁😁😁

Think everyone fan of a club wants someone like that connected to the club they support.
He's a decent enough fella as i spoke to him a few times away back around 92/93 and if that incident never happened at ibrox with J. Mcstay he may never have went to Everton, may never have met his wife etc so it all worked out well for him in the end. Funny how a bad situation turned out to be the best thing that happened to him after all.
Funny big Dunc cannot imagine his life without Everton I believe it to be the other way round the things he went through off the pitch says so much about the man he inspires the club and fans a true blue forever

Love this, my heroes growing up were Alan Ball, Bob Latchford and Dave Thomas but the big man was a great blue in a time when we weren't that good. It's great that his kids sit in the street end, a proper blue. Good luck big man. NSNO.

DF represents the old ideal of the footballer who stayed true to his roots and never distanced himself from the fans. He may not have been Everton's most skilled player ever but his commitment and physical presence were enough to show the fans he was one of them, not some mercenary prima Donna.

Beating Three Liverpool players in the air to score without them having ANY effect on him haha.. and he's not even fouling ANY of them.. has there EVER been ANY British forward OR given that, ANY British player, better in the air than Big Dunc?? Lol he was so dominant up there when on form that, considering he's footballs ultimate hardman, they couldn't even really stop him by fouling him. The Everton school of science is defined by this legend. Wayne Rooney was our most talented modern time player, but four men SAVED us. David Moyes, Joseph Yobo, Kevin Campbell and of course Big Dunc.. Now back to cutting these onions..
