    The frame never changes just remade over and over chrome molly I'm guessing. What if you double the other side for the bearings on the rear axle, will it add to much weight, will it reduce axle flex on that side just curious.

    Hello friend, excellent video, I really liked it, I wanted to know if you could give me the measurements of the vehicle or maybe you could tell me in which page I could get them, it would be very helpful friend

    I'm curious about kart weight, my mates Tony kart must weigh double mine, in fact mines about 145kg INCLUDING me kitted up and front brakes. I think his is closer to 150kg without him. His is meant to be very fast with a 125cc rotax, and with a driver weigh 260kg. I'd like to know how they can weigh so much different, and whether my mates 110kg weight will affect things?. Could someone that heavy damage a light weight kart, or are the differences in weight due to better materials used but same strength?

      @YZF648 Před 4 lety

      There must be a problem with your numbers. All kart chassis are similar in weight. A difference of more that 3 - 4 kg would be unusual assuming we are talking about the chassis only. A Rotax 125cc on a Tonykart would weigh about 84-88 kg I would guess.

      @@YZF648 my kart, a 401 tony kart, about 75kg, that other was a 150kg kart, same as 801 tonykart.

    Shame so many are cracking around the rear axle bearing mountings behind the engine. Ours lasted two meetings. Importers not interested

    • @jamesc5993
      @jamesc5993 Před 4 lety

      Andrew Kay The likely reason for that is the engine mount was done up too tight and therefor the chassis was unable to flex properly. Always back the engine mount off a quarter tern and lock it in this position once you have set the chain tension. This will allow the chassis to flex and this will stop it from cracking.

    • @andrewkay3702
      @andrewkay3702 Před 4 lety

      J -13 hi
      The engine mount is always backed off away from the engine. These clearly cracked due to some sort of manufacturing issue. The chassis tube is regularly lined with a sleeve that is available from the importer & this cures the problem. This is not a problem if you race the chassis for a meeting & then discard it, but when you are a club racer & want the chassis to last a season you have to sleeve it

      Andrew Kay it’s the same in every chassis, KR, OTK, Birel, the chassis are so softs it’s normal. The softest the fastest (sort of)

    Angle of the steering hub is bogus. Steering wheel angle is like a bus. Very hard on wrists and arms. Bought an angled aftermarket hub to bring wheel down to where it should be.

    • @shooter7a
      @shooter7a Před 22 dny

      It is weird is you turn the wheel a lot...but good drivers hardly turn the wheel at all. Watch in kart video from any top driver.... When 11:00 to 1:00 is the range of wheel turn...the angled hub is just fine...

    It's missing front brakes and an engine that makes 120dB, well I got my 1995 Swiss Hutless with 1986 Honda CR125R engine, you need earplugs to run it and earplugs when its exhaust is facing you when you spectate :D

      I just bought front brakes to add to mine. They cost £850 new and weigh about 15kg. They are NOT race legal, they can be a liability if used cornering. 1 front lifts in corners, other tyre stops, you spin... they are more about pure posing now. Frankly they look awesome, and should have benefits stopping in a straight though, plus race starts, and maybe donuts if your really crazy.
