    The black ceramig and lava ring look best by far. Would love to see the lava ring with a black ceramic base so it's super stealthy.

    If you are interested I had an idea. You should have a challenge where we enter for the chance to meet you and you can teach us how to make the ring. And winner can take the ring they made with you home. I know I would love to make my own rings but I just don't have the money for tools and materials for it. I'm not sure if it's just me but I would love to get some hand on experience with a master ring maker. Thank you for your consideration and keep up the good work. Love your vids

    Nice work.. i do like the contrast of the snake design too. It makes the 1 color POP more. When i was young, we use to dig for opals in dried mud areas between shoshone and baker Baker Cal. Not sure if its open to the public anymore but if so, you might consider a trip. The trip and digging took less time then soaking the stones from the mud without damaging the stones. I use to make Celtic jewelry with it. And yes, i was a kid.. 10-12 yrs old. Ironically my stepdad bought a Shop Smith and various chucks i used that he didnt because i did jewelry. I had enuf opal from 2 yrs of digging once a month to make items tell i was 15 plus sold much of my spare to various ppl and jewelers. Id live to see a purplish with a lil hit pink hew and a blackish similar to the green one. Make the main color POP POP POP.. as Chris Rock says in 5th Element.. lol. We all have our likes and i made them differently too.. You might look into a trip to find the digging areas. Or find out if they are in a state park now. It wasnt back then ... btw, i just turned 55 on the 13th.. Opals were my passion.. well they have always been but not as much as then.

  • @MyPinkPanda
    @MyPinkPanda Před 5 lety

    The black ring is my favorite, the black makes the bright colors and flashes from the opals stand out that much more!

    LOVED this video! Definitely one of my favorites.
    Great choices, all around and I can definitely see you integrating some amethyst, opal and glow powder into one of your ' deep space' themed rings! Also, in reference to the reptilian, green opal ring, you actually could allow for a pattern with the opal inlay, since many reptiles have a unique pattern to their skin. I think that would translate well to the inlays of that particular style of ring.
    Again, GREAT BUILD!

    Have you ever made a ring using the swarth from the lathe from multiple materials, and then either put them in resin and make the rings from that, or using the ca glue method. My guess the copper used in one of these rings is swarth from a previous ring.
