3:44... Is all this in the book?...is your question.... Yeah, kind of. I think there's like a paragraph of text that describes that Louie and Claudia traveling through a war torn Europe... The show was just able to take that little chunk of text and expand upon it into the details that are in this episode... So like this didn't happen beat for beat but the show was able to take creative liberties with stuff that absolutely IS in the book.... It's just stuff that is only vaguely mentioned in the book.
From what book readers have told me... they are enjoying what the writers are doing with their expanding upon things. The majority of people are enjoying the extra details the shiw is providing! Which is great.
