Update: I do NOT wish I would have gotten the catless downpipe. This is actually very loud! MAPerformance did a H E L L of a job making this exhaust system!
Plus it smells nicer, I had to weld in a cat to my 2008 VW jetta 2.0 turbo stage 2, catless smelled terrible at stoplights.
Don’t catless dp’s also tend to give the typical Honda rasp also? Maybe the catback would help, but there’s a video of the type r with a Catted and catless downpipe as comparison, and the Catted sounds so much better. Good purchase!

Told you lol. I told you awhile back that once you got the rest of your Maperformance exhaust on you'd love it. The only difference with mine is I got the ceramic coated down pipe. Plus I got the Maperformance CA intake which is also awesome . Glad you're loving it bro.

Haha...Understand the feeling of changing the exhaust. the same feeling i had when i changed my exhaust to HKS, was unnecessarily driving fast and revving. luckily i have toned down but still happy with the sound and its like music to my ears

Just installed mine yesterday, along with a PRL front pipe and an Injen cat back . It sound amazingly good. And It even woke the car up quite a bit. I’m not on a tune, just Mishimoto CAI, and the exhaust, I also have a pedal commander installed as well, I highly recommend them.
Sounds so good! Not gonna lie I kinda miss the grey paint. I remember a few videos back you talking about the color and what not, interested to see what you come up with!

i like what getting rid of the stock down pipe did to my car. turbo spools quicker and there a noticable power gains too. with my stock mufflers it isnt too loud or quiet! hearing the turbo spool is sick too

Sounds good man. Now you need an upgraded drop in turbo, clutch, and custom tune. Look forward to all of that content 😄. I also had regrets not getting a catless. However, I’m happy with my catted downpipe. Plus I didn’t want my wife and daughter to have to smell the exhaust fumes all the time.

By the way, one thing I love about your cars is that you keep them on stock suspension. It makes them unique, considering lowering is basically expected in the car scene nowadays, and seemingly everyone does it. Plus I think the 10th gens sit very nice stock. Anyways, love your content dude!
Thanks! that Ark exhaust is also very nice. You should definitely get a downpipe. it makes a huuuuuge difference in both the sound and acceleration. And I think you're the first person to actually appreciate my car being on stock suspension. I can't lower it at this point, even if I wanted to, because Vivian is going to daily this until we get her the Bronco

@@rikdrt1 I've still got the stock front pipe and down pipe; the ark exhaust basically is straight pipe with a resonator and a tone chamber. If stock exhaust volume is 2/10, i would say its about 5/10 with just the ark exhaust and nothing else

Hey there, I added the same front / down pipe to my car and damn it sounds amazing. Just wanted to know if you were able to turn off the check engine light. I’ve tuned it, light does turn off, then comes back on when I drive about 30 miles.
It is very rare for me to like the sound of a 4 cylinder, but this sounds very good! 👍

hey there i just installed maperformance dp on my 2017 si and the 02 sensor wiring is short and i cant connect it. is there any specific o2 sensor for this dp? its the downstream o2 sensor. thank you.

Thanks! I don't think you have to change the tune for a catted downpipe, but you might have to select one specific for a catless DP

Happy you got catted, catless is sometimes just wayy to loud. I had to get a resonator welded in Cobalt because how loud longtube header and cat less was

The problem with that situation is you’ll be pushing a lot more exhaust gases through your stock catalytic converter and exhaust system. Sometimes people can blow out their stock cats because of that. Its sort of rare, but it does happen

Were you running a tune on the car at the time of this video? && if so what tune were you using while you had the MAPerformance downpipe? Did you change any of your tune settings before/after installing the downpipe?

Juan Bueno you shouldn’t have to, you might get a CEL due to it being a high flow cat. With a ktuner, you can disable that cel light through the software.
You need a rear mount, boomba or 27won.
You should do the Rear Motor Mount, Hasport RMM!
27wons is a thousand times nicer. It’s also a stiffer mount.
I recently got the Map catted downpipe. Install was fine but now I’m showing engine code P0420. I highly doubt it’s a bad cat since it’s new but possibly could be a bad O2 sensor. Any suggestions? Or should I just clear the code everytime?

Are you going to do the prl flex fuel? I think to prevent the rubber grommet from cracking you should've spary some wd40 on it.

@@Camhill182 I heard using e85 flex fuel you can get up to 300 HP after tune, according to hondata. You might have to upgrade your clutch to the act version. I wouldn't push anything more than that tho, it might be danger for your engine.
