Always try to emulate your enthusiasm on the course, and today it worked a treat. Par 68, tree lined course, felt like every hole was driving down the hallway, but shot a 87. I’m a 66 year old woman, and due to being disabled I need a buggy to get around, but I’m a 20 handicapper and to shoot 1 under my handicap was amazing.
Thank you again for being so incredibly positive whilst playing the game……a true inspiration. I’m told by a golfing buddy, practice, practice, practice. It’s nasty here in the US so maybe time to spend time at the driving range. Thank you again for a great 9 holes. Tremendous video. Love watching! Have a great day. BTW, driver is incredible, good games. Mike
Dennis, I enjoy your positivity and for showing the rest of us that playing bogey golf is not a bad thing. I just started playing golf again after a 20 year break and am learning that not everything goes as planned. Thank you
Your comment that it was hard to come back again after been beaten by the course is something we all go through. Your Channel is refreshing and real and you have high ability. My only advice is keep the swing supple and this stops the body / hands becoming tight and guiding the ball. Keep up the good uploads 😊
Hey Dennis, been subscribed since about 6 months ago I guess, and just wanted to say it’s great to see all the hard work paying off! I started golf a year and a half ago, and am now playing off of a 19.2 handicap. Last Friday I played 9 holes shooting my lowest score ever of 40! And also , the drones shots are awesome, keep improving the content bro!
Fantastic content dennis, its great to see you smiling on the course and enjoying this ridiculously hard game we try to play. I found your channel from your link up with Luke from UpnDown - very much enjoyed your collaboration, you guys should do more together its entertaining stuff.
Glad to see the D stick finally working for you now mate, this could be a game changer for your cards and handicap! What a way to finish the video aswell pal, played the last hole brilliantly
Interesting that you mention the mental game off golf I am trying to not comment on my bad shots and I actually enjoy my game more, sometimes the only reason I go back after a poor game is my membership is paid for the month so be a waste of money not to 😂
brilliant mate. so pleased for you as i've been watching the videos when things havent been going that well for you but this is what practice, dedication ,positve mindset and desire does. It's what all elite sportspeople use..Purposeful practice will eventually pay off. There's a book called 'Bounce' which is all about it. Keep up the content mate and well done you. Also meant to say, that i've been using the stack / tilt technique which has really helped me.. still off 28 but did shoot 94 on a par 70 the other day.
Thanks mate, yeah it’s been tough recently and you guys have been with me 😂 it’s good to have a nice round to start building the confidence again. And congrats that’s a great round 👌
Haven't watched a second yet but Dennis with D stick behaving? Is this planet earth or something else? 😜. Next you'll be announcing that the wedges are your favourite club!
Good to see the big stick out and being hit with a degree of consistency, just updated my driver and i'm suffering from the "left's" but think I can solve this by swapping my shaft from my old driver, as they're the same brand and actually the same shaft, but the new one feels softer, more regular than stiff. Having distance of the tee is a huge gain and the H/Cap will fall once the short game starts to sharpen up, always enjoy your enthusiasm for the game and look forward to seeing your scores improve👍👍
I pretty much always take the flag out on putts of 20 feet or less…it makes the hole bigger. Now if your chipping from 50 feet away you might want to leave it in..or if you’re golfing with someone smart enough to tend the flag for you that’s great ✌🏼✌🏼
love the content as always dennis! on the 14th 2nd shot, watch it back and ull see how steep the downswing was, causing the big ol chunk. try and feel the club coming down a little shallower and ull get rid of those 👌👌 i loved “horrendous scenes. we move - we move.” overall the golf is defo trending though dude keep it up 👊🏼
😂 I’m in the same position just got the driver back in the bag (taking like 20-30yrds off it has benefited) - hole 14 was pretty much my hole 1 last weekend centre of fairway wedge in hand chunk and chunk again 😂. Keep at it 🎉
Amazing stuff Dennis! Makes you think why was the big stick out of the bag for so long with hits like that! Delighted you've got the confidence back with it! Onwards to the teen handicaps : D
Get the driver working, my chipping goes to hell. Get my chipping going and I 3 putt everything. Get the putter working and it takes 4 strokes to get on the green. Golf. BTW - you took some great grass on one of those shots from the rough. Would have been spectacular if the grass had landed on your head, but only Pros can do that. I play bad golf and feel good about it!
It was more of a personal thing. I was too focused before on shallowing my backswing, so much so that the whole swing was so stiff. You’ll notice here I’m actually quite steep, but it just works and I feel so much less stiff.
@@BogeyGolfUK I have one for you. Yesterday, Par 3, 165 into the wind over a pond. Half island green. Pushed a 6 Iron into the muddy bank on the far side of the pond. Unplayable. ( I'm curious if I could have taken two clubs from where the ball plugged in the hazzard?) I'm not that great with hazzard rules? I dropped line of flight on this side of the pond. 125 yards to the pin. Pitching wedge Chunk, right in the pond. Dropped again, Chunk, right in the pond. If your counting thats three in the same pond. Drop again. Remembered how to golf. 10ft right of the pin. Two putt for a nine. Followed that up with a double on the next hole. All that after shootong a 40 on the front. LOL It was a 48 back nine. I haven't seen that number in a while. I channeled your attitude. It was tough but I was able to avoid tossing my pitching wedge into that pond. 🙄
Hey mate well done im also as they say a high handicapper haha Im just about to upload my very first video little scared to show the world my game play haha
@@BogeyGolfUK Haha cheers yeah its one thing playing in comps in front of 4 people but when its possible that hundreds of people could see its a little scary
It was more of a personal thing. I was too focused before on shallowing my backswing, so much so that the whole swing was so stiff. You’ll notice here I’m actually quite steep, but it just works and I feel so much less stiff
Do you line your puts up using the ball out of curiosity? Like do you mark your ball and align it with your chosen path or even use the balls natural markings if you know what I mean ? Started doing this more accurately and have gone from 3 putting to 2 putting most holes. Seems obvious maybe but it looks to me like you just try judge it. Took 6/8 shots off my round easy giving this more attention. Give pointing the markings of the ball in the line you want to take and a bit of aimpoint a go, bet you it would help.
What's the best way to contact you to convince you to doing a subscriber challenge with you? I'm about the same handicap as you so it would be a good battle!
What I get from this is your ability to go from a terrible hole(quad bogey) to then bogey with an amazing shot from the rough. Myself, I tend to let bad holes and bad shots affect me too much and I lose confidence in my swing which in turn makes everything worse and just ruins the golf outing.
3 pars in 9 holes = more than decent player. It's in there. You just 'need to get it out more consistently. Alternatively stop fncking up every other hole. Brother!
Buzzing watching your game progress my man. It's like watching me!! One question though... Did you shoot the drone footage yourself? If so, the footage for Hole 11 (your 2nd) was outrageously good.
