There are several components to how to play poker games. One plan I discovered that successfully combines these is the card crusher fixer (check it out on google) definately the most useful guide that I have ever seen. look at the interesting information .
Probably the most comprehensive video I've seen on explaining the basic game. Thank You for posting.

Was inspired to get a poker set after finding out I enjoyed playing it on RDR2. Have always thought I disliked card games until now. Only person I have to play with is my kid at the moment though.
Same here lol
I say shit me too
I never knew you had to double it when you raise
At least
+thegremlinsmurf so in the bigger games and you wish to raise at any stage of the game you would have to double the current bet even if it was like 15k?? Also this prob sounds stupid but on the first bet if the player after the big blind was to call instead of raise would the small blind then have to match the bet or does it go strait to the flop even tho the small blind has only half as much money in as the rest of the players??
verceti23 if ur still wondering the small blind would have to call the remainder of what the big blind paid to go to the table or fold his half of chips or he would match the raise of the guy that raised left of the big blind if he did raise instead of call
For No Limit Hold Em, each raise must be at least double the previous bet or raise not double the bet or raise that was last put in. For example Player A bets 100, player B raises to 700 which is a 600 raise. Player C can now either call the 700 raise to a minimum of at least 1300 or more (600 more than previous) or more or fold. Notice it is not 700 more but 600 more.
Andrew Wolfinden this is worded weird player C could either call the 600 raise matching the 700 or he could re-raise to 1300 but wouldn’t have to call 1300 from a 600 raise of player B
I really enjoyed your teaching style.
+David Arbelaez many thanks David !!

Excellent with quick, clear, and informative presentation!
You explain this perfectly,thank you.
Great , simple and articulate presentation. Well done!
Thank you Gavin
This makes everything so clear. I have been trying to learn by watching WPT on TV and I just couldn't get it. Thanks do much!
I have a doubt every new game starts, so the dealer's left one always has a small blind that every new game has a position change.

the best one yet
thank u for explaining clearly
Best explanation!
First video, or person, to ever explain Texas Holdem well enough for me to understand lol
Thank you !
So can you not check in the first betting round before the flop, because the small and big blinds force everyone to make bets, raise or call, unless you want to fold obviously?
Well done video! Thank you
Very nice explanation
Thank you very nice and helpful tutoriol
Fantastic video
Very informative👍
Good video I liked and subscribed
This makes it so clearer, I just need to remember the ladder of power for the cards
Very nice video. Thank you.
I want this man’s table.
Thank you so much for your help! Brilliant video! Whenever you took out the flop, turn and river, you 'burned' a card. Is this necessary and what that is the purpose of this?
Its standard practice Ahab - principally to eliminate cheating with a marked card.
At a casino I could theoretically get in at a table and sit down at the right seat at the right time and see my cards for free.
Then either play or fold. As the blind works it’s way back to me I could get up and leave the hand before that. And avoid paying a big or small blind. I saw a guy do that at Rocky Gap casino in Cumberland Maryland. At the time I didn’t think too much about it but it was smart of him. It was only $10 / $20 on the blinds, with the average pot between 50 -$ 120
I found a useful collection of videos that will help you at card crusher fixer
Is it weird I thought people who played this game wore cowboy hats
Story Time yes
I mean....you could wear one if it makes ya feel better. 😂😂
😂
I used to think lots of silly things when I was 12 too.
A lot of them do.
Is the ante in the beginning of each hand an option?
2 questions - in that last round for example, after the river was revealed, can the first player have decided to fold then? Or did they have to check or ... what was the other option - if they wanted to bet more did it have to minimum match what was in the pot already? Other question , how is it decided what the other colour chips are worth? Is it the black is 10x the big blind? Or...?
His tongue clicks are driving me insane
great video
In the Flop round or second round or however you call it, do you then have to match the bet of the person to your right when you call? And do you have to double his bet as well if you raise?
Kim Brodersen you always have to match the highest bet in the round if you want to call, and a raise would have to be at least double again yes. Same rules apply on turn and river
So question (brand new to the game). He says you have to raise double the amount that was "bet" previously. Is it the previous total bet amount for that round, or is it double the last raise? So he could have a total of 4 chips in there, but his last raise was only 2 chips. So I wouldn't have to bet a total of 8 chips, I would just have to bet a total of 4 right?
Thank you, you beautifual specimen.
After someone raises does that lock the minimum to the previous raise ?
Awesome!
He's so exited I love it :)
Appearances can be deceptive - was pissed off most of the day !!
@@MartinBlackburn Damn
This was a great video. Thank you so much for being so clear. I just have one wuestion, this is probably a bit stupid though does the dealer participate in the game or do they just have a sorta break. This is another stupid one though does the dealer actually deal the cards? The only reason I was wonderig that was as you were standing in the middle bit there not where the dealer was
Yes they still play and no they do not deal the cards just to let yk x
"To raise you have to double the amount of the bet previously" - As you can learn on my youtube channel, this statement is wrong and misleading. Let's walk through it to see how it is wrong. If the first player raises to $20 as illustrated, and the next player wants to raise, their raise amount would have to be $40 according to this statement. But in reality, the minimum raise amount for the next player would be $30 total. That's because the amount a person can raise is always the call amount plus the previous raise amount. In this case, the previous raise amount was $10, so the player can raise by $10.
If you fold as the big blind or the small blind does your compulsery bet disappear or does it stay?
Every time I've played it stays. The blinds make it so there's at least a minimum pot for somebody to win if everybody (except one) folds.
I just want to crawl through the screen and ask if someone was sleeping in the next room while they were filming this? Shhhhh.... 🤫
Tank u for dis video 📷
Can you fold in the first round if you are the big blind? Does the next guy become big blind if you do?
Please make an explanation vedio about all in situation.how the rules change there
what 5 cards make up your final hand? the 2 in your hand and 3 of the community cards? Or can you use 1 of yours and 4 out of the community pile? I forgot..
yes u can, u make your hand with 5 cards, the 5 community cards are available for everyone and your 2 cards for u ofc
Hi, how is it decided when a round ends, it seems like it’s not when everyone has had one go, is it when everyone has matched the highest bet ? Please explain :)
According to the rules he is playing by... when no one raises after the last bet the cards are shown and the winner declared.
wiat so if the small blind checks and the big blind checks and it goes to the next player and let’s say he raises, does it go around again so would it go back to the small blind?
The small blind and big blind can't check unless the other players have checked. The first bet would technically start with the 3rd player (player left of big blind), but the player who is the small blind would have to either call to even the pot, raise, or fold to start the next round.
These tutorials are nice and all but how do you know if a hand is good? Say I was dealt an ace and an eight. How would I know if that's good or bad?
Cards on the table, gentlemen. That was the last round of betting.
So can people just keep raising in the first round? Before any of the flop comes out? Or the flop only happens when everyone either folds or calls?
to my understanding, once everyone called the bet on the table (ie when everyone bet the same amount) the betting round ends. If someone keeps raising the first hand it will be a matter of time before people run out of chips or fold.
i like this guy. have to watch a few more times to full understand. That movable wall behind him is a bit distracting but i can deal.
good video
I get the concept of SB and BB being forced to bet, does that mean they can't check or fold?
if no one has raised the big blind can check and the sb can complete the full amount or fold, if there was a raise both sb and bb can fold or call (or reraise)
Does the player with the dealer Button deal himself in?
I understoos how to bid during play but how do you win?
I finally saw Rounders (1998) on netflix just 1 hour ago and I felt I needed to come here and watch this video lol
Thx
So when everyone calls in a row you then flop? Or after 2 rounds of betting
Is there ever a situation where the dealer button would move to the right?
Poster Child For Mental Illness Yup there is. Play game with your back to the table haha
@ claremonts casino How come the dealer didn't get dealt cards? The dealer button?
raedoe112 I know you said it depends on your group, but is there like a typical standard ? Like most people wouldn’t have the dealer play ? Or vice versa ? ... I’m so glad someone asked this question because that was my immediate thought when he didn’t include the dealer!lol
Okay cheers
2 days ago me and my friends started playing poker on reses whit connect 4 pieces and uno cards and now we are ordering a poker set it's so fun
Start young I guess
What happens if the small or big blind has a bad hand and wants to fold? Are they allowed to or do they have to bet?
They have to bet. And you don't know if you have a bad hand when community cards are not shown.
