    This means he thinks having a bad day (that he's been having) is an injustice against him by the universe itself. He then begins talking to an imaginary entity who apparently only exists to allow him to vent and/or self-pity. No shame while doing this.

      @adamdooley8977 Před 2 lety +1

      Since it’s three years after you ask the question, I hope for your sake you found an answer.
      But for whoever comes next, you don’t really say it to the dealer. You say it to the other player in the hand who has to give their permission first. They have to agree. The phrase you use is “run it twice?“ (Or however many times-you can say three.)
      I’d look up strategies on when to do that and what it means if one player wins one and the other player wins the other.

      A good player knows what hands can be made from the community cards and therefor knows how many hands will beat theres.

    • @adamdooley8977
      @adamdooley8977 Před 2 lety

      Generally speaking you usually don’t know when you’re drawing dead-unless your heads up and both all in. In that case, both players turn their cards face up (check your local customs), at that point you would be able to see whether or not you still have a chance to win. It takes a little time to be able to synthesize it quickly. When you first start out, that might be a kind of confusing moment.

    What is three betting?

    • @jayd1261
      @jayd1261 Před 5 lety

      A 3bet usually refers to when a player reraises an initial open preflop. E.g; 1/2 live game, player open raises from middle position to 6 and button reraises to 18 thats known as a 3bet, and if the initial opener re-reraises that is a 4bet and so on. 3bets can also refer to postflop so take the turn for example, a 3bet would be a re-reraise, so in that case it would be a reraise after a bet+a raise

      John Dueno thanks,I've known the basics of poker for awhile, but recently want to get more advanced.Is there any disadvantage to checking when you can besides showing weakness, seems like you should check 80% of the time just to be safe

    • @leviticus3
      @leviticus3 Před 7 lety +2

      There are many advantages/disadvantages of checking. In one scenario(250/500), let's say that I have a relatively very good hand(ex: full house). My strategy would be to build up the pot first, maybe raising more than double the last bet, then waiting to see what others may do. If the next round bet doesn't require me to call, then I'd check(alluding that my rank of hands aren't that good). In the river round, I could raise again, feeling confident and hopefully that if anyone else has a full house, that I have a higher card.

    • @leviticus3
      @leviticus3 Před 7 lety +1

      You can also check more often to play it safe like you mentioned. If you don't have that much money left or to play with in the beginning, then checking can be used as that strategy. However, I prefer not to play with people who check often since the point is to increase the value of the pot.
