Ngt ne delhi ncr me Diesel 10 year ke baad ban karaya hai na, to baaki poori country me bhi kara hi sakti hai. Pollution pe fark pade ya na pade. Agar 10 year ban bhi lag gaya poore country me to diesel will be a very expensive purchase. 10 saale me gaadi ka kuch bigdega nahi and resale value zero. Abhi to ncr wale up, haryana me bech dete the gaadi, ab wo option bhi band ho sakta hai.

exactly, Euronorms like BS norm k tarha implement kar ke middle class ka bada sapana (apni gadi) aur muskil karne mai governement koi kasar nahi chod rahi hai, it looks like Modi ji bik gaye hai german automotive industry k saamne as most of the components that go in BS 5 and 6 cars are made by Germans either locally or imported from Europe!

Thanks sir for raising an important point. Another point is this new policy that cars older than 15 years can't run on roads. Should you check pollution emitting from the cars or age of the cars? My 14 year old i10 is emitting 0.05 CO2 and pollution limit is 0.5 so 10%, still I will have to give up that well-maintained vehicle because of this illogical rule. Sometimes I feel companies are forcing govt to push common man to buy new cars so that their sales can increase. On diesel point, last year I booked a hybrid as you rightly said CNG will waste time and kill luggage space. EV will give you range anxiety and waste time. Petrol is out of pocket. Considering all these reasons, I booked hybrid with Toyota. Hope, the decision goes right.
Govt is not concerned with public welfare or polution but its all about looting public in the form of tax. Moreover the transport minister is himself in the business of scrap. So its obvious that they will force you to scrap the car in the name of polution and make you pay high tax over and over 28% gst and 22% cess. India will be the happiest country in the happiest index in the comming years.😂🎉

Pollution control keliye jitna hosake plantation karna chahiye... Sirf diesel band karne se kuch nhi hoga. Wese b bs6 engine laake bekar ka tension hota hai, chalo wo b seh lenge hum, but ban kyun !
Points to be considered for environment-
1. Jitna hosake Jahan Jahan hosake plantation hona chahiye. Jo marji roads infrastructure banao but large trees chahiye hi chahiye (becuz nature ko barbaad karoge Nature hume barbaad karega). 😢
2. Be faltu ke 1 aadmi 7 seater leke jo ghume usey fine dalo be faltu traffic ⛔ and pollution.
First of all this is not a government decision...it's recommendation by a panel and govt has rejected this. And even if this is implemented it would mean that manufacturing to stop, not the running cars. Sold cars won't be banned. Rather , 2nd hand diesel cars would be in high demand and cost more as new cars might not be there after 5-7 years.

Diesel cars don't have any future in India because of strict government rules, That's why Maruti has stopped Manufacturing Diesel engines, Moreover BS6 diesel engines will always have reliability issues because of DPF/Add Blue in long term ownership, that is why even Mahindra Scorpio N also coming in Petrol Variant being such a big vehicle
Diesel cars will continue for few more years as companies have spent crores in building those engines and making them compatible for BS 6.2. But at sometime they will be banned Hybrid cars are future. Petrol+ Electric

The way to go is hybrids ...you will never have range anxiety. Yes there's a premium that needs to be paid upfront....but you can atleast drive the car wherever and whenever you like.!
It is a draft proposal only, govt has not given go ahead. It will go through govt's deliberation and then govt may approve or reject this proposal. As per my understanding, govt will first stop production of diesel vehicle and allow diesel vehicle usage as long that vehicle's registration is valid (say 10 or 15 years, as applicable). Govt is not going to take such a drastic step as stopping usage of doesel vehicle by 2027. Moreover, it is to be noted that govt's own transport vehicle consists of the bulk of diesel vehicle along with trucks, which is the lifeline of India's interstate trade & commerce. Such a drastic step is going to jeopardize everything. Not to mention the pathetic state of EV charging infra pan-India, which would take at least 10 years (min) to build. In a nutshell, this will be a gradual phase out rather than a drastic knee-jerk reaction. So don't panic dieselheads and enjoy your torquey diesel cars for another 10 years (at least).😄

I just saw a video from USA that there are lines of tesla cars in front of largest charging station in USA. So if there is so much problem in developed country like US. Then India is still a developing county. Europe and other countries are still using diesel. And why only ban passenger cars, they are just 1% remaining 99% are trucks, Railways engines, Generators, heavy equipment's, Mining equipments, Ships ... much more running on Diesel. Ban all of them.

Our government trapped by USA planned strategy to control the economy of oil producing countries , especially Russia. One thing everyone should understand that , a electric car never being considered as "non polluting" ,.... because we can't undermine that, 80% of electric energy is generated in India from thermal power plant ( by burning coal) so pollution will be more as we move to electric cars, secondly extraction processes of lithium is a very polluting by itself, thirdly just imagine disposal of used batteries after 10 years, will be a great threat to the environment.... and it has a future negative impact on countries economy too, because we have to import huge lithium batteries and related technical know how from USA and China.... we have catalytic converter in diesel cars to control pollution, but we can't put a catalytic converter in thermal power plant ..... we are trapped by an international scandal planned by America nothing else ...

How modi goverment can ban diesel vehicle because it is state subject , Indivisual states have to take call , How uttarakhand or himanchal , NE will agree because electric cars are not good for hills and discharge on half range ,kuasik ji All MLA , MP , Netas drive diesel SUV and how they will satisfy them ? What Tata and Mahindra will survive ? Main culprits are v old transport vehicle in town like Vikram , tempo, Road transport corporation buses, and jeeps which ply on village roads and goverment owned diesel vehicles , These vehicles are not maintained properly, I gorgot to mention the diesel sets employed for cane juice , So if you want to ban ,ban diesel transport vehicles and diesel vehicles in goverment department after 10 years of use and also introduce replacement of engines from diesel to petrol after mendated time by manufacturer
