does Dr Chaffee do telemed consults for carnivores? I already have my advanced lipid test results.
Last year, I did keto and OMAD. I went from 275 down to 210. Steak, hamburger, bacon, eggs, HARD cheese, and certain vegetables. Water with lemon and tea. Pants from 52 to 34, no more meds for HBP, NO LONGER border line diabetic. Inflammation in my hips so bad I couldn't put my socks on without laying on the bed and going thru maneuvers! All GONE! I'm walking 10 miles a day (weekends off). Hour and half of weight lifting, and life is soooo good now! I'm 67 years old. Thanks for all the work you do on our behalf.
Huge congratulations 🎉👏🏼❤
Youre walking 4hrs a day?

A neighbor is 80ys and ride with his bicycle until noon. He stops here and there for a talk and a coffee. Full of energy👍🏻
Carnivore was a commitment and how I could quit drinking. After stopping the casual booze, a week later I was able to stop smoking. I wrote an app to show my cash savings, and today it is $12,656.
Well done 👏
Thank you.. I'm a smoker and I was hoping to get off smoking doing carnivore diet and I know now it is possible 😊
that's it?

In 75 days on carnivore I've done this: Weight down from 310 to 265. Fasting insulin down from 47.7 to 23.1. Inflammation gone. Off the blood pressure medicine I've been on for over 20 years. Off Metformin. Off Allopurinol. I feel better than I have in 20 years. I doubt I'll ever go back to eating plants.
Mr. keep up good work, once you go PHD you never got back to rabbit diet lol 🙂
I am so happy for you. 😊👍🙌
Nice!
What diet were you on before?
@@Swearengen1980 Basically the standard American diet. I tried keto but it never stuck. I think mainly because there were still carbs in it. Going zero carbs helped break that addiction to sugar and also eliminated the inflammation and insulin resistance.
Just wanted to add a comment after being a Carnivore diet for about a month. My son, an RN has been on this for about a year with great results. I've also been a diabetic for over 30 years. A high dose diabetic taking 60 units of rapid and long term insulin. After 30 days I've lost 14lbs, and reduced the insulin by half total. It's amazing
Enjoyed reading your comment. I live by my own motto: nothing tastes good enough to feel bad. And when you can have a ribeye or whatever your meat of choice is, it is the easiest diet to stay on, not really a diet like Dr. Berry says. Get your Ph.D. proper human diet; all the drugs in the Mayo Clinic won't do you as much good.
Congrats 🎉 keep going.
HALF IN 30 DAYS
Oh wow. That’s awesome 🎉🎉
Alcohol is killing my carnivore diet. Just being honest with myself
Same, for a couple of days after a big night I don't care what I eat. Dammit 🙂
Being honest with yourself is the only way to solve it. Keep plugging away, you'll get it eventually.
When you have enough energy drinking alcohol becomes less interesting.
Time to go to AA...
😮
Yes that would be my downfall
I was suffering from chronic inflammation severe arthritis on my thumbs and knees and doctors almost killed me with medication. I did gluten free die. I did Paleo diet. Most of the time I was juicing and depending on all these green vegetables nothing was working for me. I was so frustrated and depressed. One day I told my husband I should just stop eating whatever I eat it goes in my body and changes to inflammation. until last month I came across your program, and I went cold, turkey carnivore I am a totally different person. I feel different I am happy, I always said I’m not a morning person. I am a morning person I wake up with full energy positive mind, and I don’t go to bed until 11 at night. I have no pain I am pain-free thank you so much for all the good work that you are doing and helping People to cure themselves with food. God bless.♥️

How l9ng have you been 9n carnivore?
I am a carnivore. Last time I had gin and club soda I had the most vicious heartburn for hours. That was it. No more alcohol for me.
Yep. I can’t do booze no more either. Had my last New Year’s eve beer last year, bcuz the hangover was crazy! I felt like every ounce of fluid in my body was drained! And all I had is one beer, which is all I had for most of my life. Was never a drinker. Only had a beer once a year at New Year’s eve. I was on keto the year before last and didn’t feel adverse effects until I went carnivore. Carnivore and alcohol definitely don’t mix.
I am an acholic. Since i have been carnivore it takes zero effort to stay away from alcohol. That finally dawned on me after about 6 months carnivore. I wonder if the alcoholic world of Doctors and councilors will figure this out. They used to teach us that sugar could quench cravings for alcohol. Now i am thinking it is the opposite. Yet another ailment that carnivore treats.
Ate a scone and had anxiety and racing thoughts at bedtime for three nights, difficulty falling asleep. No more wheat for me.

I think just eliminating sugar and carbohydrates is clearly the greatest thing anyone can do for themselves especially bad seed oil’s!!! You are literally on your way to becoming healthy
Seed oils, gluten, corn syrup.
Yep this alone is huge!
Yes, I did that and bumped up considerably my animal fat intake and things are going solid!!
For over 30 years I was respecting the food pyramid: lots of vegetables, fruits, legumes and cereals, and small quantities of lean meat and vegetable oil.
My health was deteriorating slowly but steadily, and I spend a lot of time seing numerous doctors and specialists. I thought I had just bad luck, bad genes and getting old.
Since one year I'm carnivore and not only did I lose 79 pounds, but it has also cured me from an endless list of ailments: irritable bowel syndrome, hyperhidrosis, hypertension, eczema on legs and armpits, psoriasis in my lower back, seborrheic keratosis on torso and back, skin tags on my scalp, hay fever, arthritis in shoulders and knees, less chronic fatigue, chronic depression and social anxiety. I also noticed that I have whiter teeth with less tartar, a pinker tongue, smoother skin, less body odor, and much less floaters in my eye sight.

I love the way Dr Chaffee absolutely simplifies everything and is able to bring actual science to support his views.
Exactly. Keep it simple. Beef, salt, water = THRIVE. Enough of the "how much protein" questions. Just do it!
@@Vancer1111 Furthermore, people have to be careful about some of the trendier and more popular channels (like Lillie Kane) who get a bunch of people to go carnivore and then a few months later tell people they should incorporate some plants. We are in an era of "everyone's body is different," "self-care," complete self-absorption, my truth/my lived experience... Human physiology is human physiology, and with the rare exception of a few outliers, we all have the same functions. We are the only species that seems confused about what we are supposed to eat, or can be psychologically conditioned to believe we need to eat grain and plants and bugs.

6 months carnivore now. Down in pounds from 194 to 159.4😌 that’s 34 pounds🥰. My doctor said I am no longer pre-diabetic! And the blood lab results are also improving with the cholesterol levels! We recheck again in 4 months. So motivating to have these communities that give us such empowered information. Oh and My age is 58. ...UPDATE Oct. '23, It's now 9 months into this lifestyle. The scale read 151 this morning. Still dropping pounds albeit at a slower pace. Fit into my size 6 jeans!
Wow that's amazing 👏 congrats!
Wonderful
Remember you can also be healthy with high cholesterol. There are many studies done on cholesterol and they find correlations with heart disease in epidemiological studies but there is also the reverse. High LDL cholesterol in the elderly (over age of 65) correlates with a longer life span and disease resistance.
@@DardyGG YES Absolutely ! I am just beginning to hear about this finding. Love it!
Did you do calorie restriction? Did you do intermittent fasting?
Before the world shut down in 2020, I was keto and was in the best shape of my life since high school. But the pandemic became an excuse and I gained 50lbs since. I’m am now recommitting and starting with keto, but I’m very interested in transitioning to carnivore. Wish me luck in staying committed, esp on an upcoming vacation.😬
Ew... I did exactly the same to myself. Shame on us, friend! I went from 80kg to 110kg in a matter of 2 years. 🥸 Then this weird thing called psoriasis got into my life, for sure because of this brutal sudden imbalance. Researching ways of getting rid of psoriasis led me to carnivore :D I'm excited to start it!
Do it. I was Keto for 2 years, switched to carnivore. Feel way better, and I already felt good on keto!
@@Sylvine for how long you been on carnivore already? :b Did you have any auto immune disease you were trying to heal?
@@mateuscosta787 8 months and counting. I wasn't necessarily trying to heal anything in particular. I got seduced by the promise of more energy, better mental clarity, and better sleep. Since I was already at almost ideal BMI, I didn't have any weight to lose really (still lost ~7kg without trying, lol).
Well, it didn't quite work out the way I hoped. More energy is a eeeeh... a bit? But nothing life changing. However, I do sleep significantly better, my mood improved a lot, I don't get as many infections as before, and I have almost forgotten what it feels like to be hungry. Pretty awesome all around. Only trouble for me is that I don't digest fats too well - I suspect bile acid malabsorption - so I can't really go all out on the fats. Maybe that's why I don't get the huge awesome energy boost other people are reporting. But even with the occasional bathroom trouble if I overdo my butter, it's been a very positive experience!
Joining the club folks. We will be successful!
Because of The Cave Man Diet, I feel like Batman.
I'm 72yo, have HBP and high LDL Cholesterol. I'm a 4yr (so far) melanoma survivor and I have a benign olfactory groove meningioma which pretty much eradicated my sense of taste. 10 days ago I went full bore on a carnivore diet. I eat only meat (mostly beef), eggs, bacon, butter, salt. I feel great and am sleeping better. I'm full of energy. I hope to get off the BP meds someday. Thank you Reena and Dr. Chaffee for the great info.
I’m right there with you. Feeling better…big issue is headaches, base of skull. May or may not be related. Energy was way up today!
You can do it; remember, there is no food in the world that tastes good enough to feel bad.
@starkeymorgan4142 research oxalates. You may be dumping going cold turkey into carnivore. Adding some back in to help you get through dumps is helpful. I keep small pieces of chocolate and black tea around when I feel unwell and it helps.
I started the Carnivore diet and have lost 10 lbs in 2 weeks! And I am not hungry. I am so happy to find something that works.
Be prepared for water loss being part of that.
@@elkpaz560that’s ok,, old water in our cells is toxic and fat cells just become bigger, we don’t necessarily make more fat cell they just balloon with water and some fat so you loose not only but fat as well. Your metabolism improves 🎉
It is funny to see Dr Chaffee answer all these questions over and over again, but for us, the repetition of answering all of these questions and people's doubts, starts really sinking in more and more. We used to be so much more brainwashed, that this sort of videos help demystify all the narrative. I have been transitioning into this experience for a month and a half. Still drinking 2 coffees and having wine in the evening.
They will go.. hopefully soon, All the other crap are gone anyway. So.. i find we re getting there. it seems hard to descomplicaste things 😢. At the same time... liberating. Thank you all Docs and 5minutebody for helping us to achieve ultimate well being.

Carnivore/Lion for 10 months. Down 125 lbs. Depression lifted quickly. Bad back of 20 years gone within a month. Sleep better. Constant energy all day. Beef, salt, water is the human reset button. Stick to that as the baseline and add 1 thing at a time to see how you’ll react. I do ok with eggs. Decent w Chicken. Cheese is a NOOO go for me. 1 Gallon of water a day.
not a gollon of water. you need sparkling mineral water bottled in glass....
@amandaburleson2035 nobody NEEDS sparkling water of any sort. I drink water all day bc I love it and always have. I hate carbonated water and am thankful it's not necessary in this way of eating.
@@saltygirl764 the carbon dioxide keeps unwanted mircoorgasnisms dormant, water is not supposed to be kept in a bottle idiot. its supposed to be flowing and fresh.... just get reverse osmosis if youre too poor to afford the good stuff in glass.
I hope it's a gallon of bottled spring water and not from your tap.

I am starting this way of eating because when I eat any kind of carbohydrates I get anxious and want to eat more and more. I ask God to help me stop cravings and improve my glucose level as well as lose fat and have more energy. Thank you dr Chaffee you are Godsend
One thing about this way of eating is that.. you do get results.. everyone wants to lose weight faster than they put it on, and for me, I don't worry about it anymore.. I just know that if I keep eating this way the weight will go as it has been.. just over 6months on Carnivore and I am down 70 pounds..I have had long stalls, but I just stay the course.. it will go.
Dude! Day 5 of transition from plant based. Down 4 pounds, pain is gone, actually went to the gym yesterday (plantar fasciitis was too painful to do much before). I don't get hungry, like ever. I actually have to force myself to eat because I know I haven't eaten in the past 24 hrs.
Brilliant, I am experiencing the same👍
Thank you so much. I have learned more in this one hour and 17 minutes than the two months I have been on carnivore. I always instinctively knew that spending so much time in the kitchen was not normal human behaviour and have suffered so much with oxalate and fibre issues. Carnivore is no mess no fuss. At 67 I am happy to say that I am building muscle that was getting quite weak. Loosing weight slowly but am happy with it as the inches lost are more than I expected. I live on an Island and am able to ask the butcher what meat I want to be minced and he does it right in front of me so I can choose more fat that he takes off other pieces and adds to the meat I buy.
Do a lil l
What a blessing having such a good butcher so close! 😊

Totally agree. I’m feeling amazing and weights not ready to release. I’m so excited for my health.
Enjoy hearing you.
I’d like to get a cgm for a year. Just refuse to go to any doctors in Vegas.
I’ve been told 13 times I’d be dead, and so much more. I’m enjoying the ride. Learning how to get more good fats down. I’m about 50/50. I believe my body is functioning better at 75/80% good fats.
I never realized just how sick I was. Eight months in. Loving my good health. I share and refer these videos daily. Thank you.
I grew up on a beef farm. My dad was meticulous about what the cows ate, even planting different hayfields with different things and choosing which cattle needed what feed. When he butchered a 23 year old cow, we couldn't tell.
3:42 When I watched Dr. Boz talk about the sardine fast, I remember her major point being that Sardines are high in Omega 3 fatty acids and she indicated most Americans have high Omega 6 to Omega 3 ratio's and by elevating the Omega 3 profile it could help with the Insulin resistance.
It was also that the fats in the sardines are short and medium chain triglycerides, which help you to get into ketosis. She mentions that the day after you finish the sardine challenge, that your ketones can be very high.
I needed that information. Thank you.
I tried but felt awful after eating one can. My body no longer tolerates sardines. I'd rather eat beef or salmon anyway.
@@belle42 I seem to recall that one of the features of the sardine fast is that even though most people do not really like sardines, if you are hungry enough, and that is the only food available, they suddenly become palatable. So it is a fast, with sardines always available to prevent negative effects of starvation.
@@paulcampbell840 Like meat being demonized, fasting isn't starvation. Fasting allows the body to clean up old, aging, diseased cells through autophagy and heals many issues in the body. Thousands of cases of people healing cancers just from extended fasting with water. Dr. Berry and Berg have some fasting videos and many others on youtube
I so appreciate you having Dr Chaffee on your show. Dr. Chaffee, I’ve watched many of your videos. This was the ultra best one for me. I’m having bad digestive problems since I started 3 mos ago. I now understand that I consume too much dairy, including coffee with heavy cream. I have dairy because I’m losing too much weight & that wasn’t the reason I went on this diet. I’ll make an effort to do better. Thank you so much.
Congrats on 60K subs! May you have a million more, and beyond! I just love the way you conduct interviews. You are very good at it sister! Cheers from Puerto Rico
Excellent interview! Thank you!
38:14 In the early 70's I asked the butcher why some beef was darker and had yellow fat. He said it was from older animals and that it had more flavor and nutrients. He also explained that the grain council was promoting the milder flavor of grain-fed beef, and people were being influenced to prefer the less flavorful, younger, grain-fed beef. Makes me wonder if the feedlot meat producers didn't also concoct the mad-cow scare that forced a further shift to younger beef.
As a beef farmer we used to be able to keep beef cattle for longer, but to be honest after 3 years old they do get sicker more often and develop more diseases. Currently animals have to be killed in our country prior to 36 months, and I agree with this protocol. All our animals are grass fed, and only recieved antibiotics in extreme cases ( less than 1% of our animals ever receive an antibiotic in their life)
@@AndrewL4me Thank you for posting, I value direct knowledge. Now I just have to figure out how to find grass-fed, non grain-finished beef.
Grain fed is terrible and if you’re not getting organic that means your getting meat that has been fed antibiotics which carries over to you during consumption.
This doc is bang on!! He is so well-spoken and so well-informed. Thank you for a great episode.
Yes. I was doing awesome for three months on carnivore but then I started a few beers every day due to buddy's. Sugars in it had messed it up. Just being honest. I lost energy, got sluggish, and my aches and pains started back. Stick with the right stuff loved ones! ❤

Great interview - no nonsense, practical advice...and some humor! ...love it!
I’ve only been on the Conivore for a month, and I know refer to it as the diet of peace. I eat the meats I like (occasional cheese and eggs), eat when I’m hungry, stop when I’m full. Have not been a scale and won’t even guess if I lost weight but all the swelling, puffiness, and bloating is gone. A ring I wore for over a year fell off. Snoring has stopped, inflammation as stopped, I’m not in serious pain when I wake up, and mood is so much more steady and at ease. I don’t count, measure, or prep. All sugar and carb cravings gone or at the very least extremely manageable. I just feel normal. So grateful.

I think our children are eating instinctively from the beginning right. They don’t like vegetables. From time to time they eat some fruits. They don’t like bread but the butter, cheese or meat on it. We adults just forced them to eat this toxic food .

@marialaurendi7444 I strongly advise you to have a chiropractor check the alignment of your jaws. I had TMJ and was about to have surgery and was told see a chiropractor. Love your videos! Knowledge is power ❤
I did a Dr. Boz recommended sardine fast for 48 hours and my glucose went down from 100-110 in mornings to 70-80, and my ketones went from .3 to 2.2. And what’s better is it stopped my stall and my glucose has stayed low and keytones have stayed high now a week later. I think eating a steak and ground beef every day, the protein was being converted to glucose. I may not have been eating enough fat. Anyway, this got me on track. I still don’t love sardines (tastes like tuna) but it worked for me.
I just might have to do this..
I only eat sardines in spring water or brine every other day. To make them more palatable I add a dash of tabasco.
Good idea thank you! I eat them with apple cider vinegar, extra virgin olive oil and black pepper

The main point of the sardine fast is to learn satiety. If you’re really hungry, you’ll eat the sardines. If not, you’ll put it off and go do something else.
yeh, I'd have to be very hungry to have sardines be appetizing 😂
I tried the 3 day sardine challenge and had to give up on day 2 as my blood sugar dropped to 2.9mmol/L and I was close to passing out, so I feel people should attempt these challenges with caution. I feel I need any of these challenges since I've been carnivore!
Excellent Information !
Awesome video, thank you very much
I cut 1 inch bacon strips and add them to my chicken breast, and it taste better. I also would say live your life and only make your carnivore or kito more restrictive only if you want to do or feel better. I don't keep a strictly carnivore diet, but I do sort of naturally gravitate towards full carnivore to feel better. I also do intermittent fasting, Wim Hof breathing exercises and keeping me doing exercise. I am 60, no medications. I rarely ever see a doctor, but that has to do with my distrust of hospitals. I have only been on keto/carnivore for about 8 months. I consider myself pretty healthy. I can sprint at 60 and i mean sprinting, not running a bit, i mean at pretty much full speed.
Dr. Chaffee is Superman!❤️
Great interview and video.
I think this is the best channel for carnivore/keto! And Kelly Hogan... But this channel puts everyone through the same questions so you get to put all the different answers side by side! Thank you DEAR!
I always like your interviews. You let people talk. 😊
Another amazing interview with Dr Chaffee! I feel so much better when I just eat ribeye but my wallet feels the opposite. I do notice that a good fatty piece of lamb is the next best thing for me personally and it is cheaper by the pound.
Chuck steak is as fatty as Ribeye, tastes delicious and is far cheaper. Here in the UK we call chuck steak braising steak. I slow cook for 5 hours whilst I'm out fishing.

@@stevenhull5025 thats good to know because I wondered what our equivalent was to chuck steak. I also eat ribeye but it can get quite expensive, so I'll try that
Great presentation Thank you both
Great content, thank you.
Great video! I started carnivore a couple weeks ago and this has answered so many of my questions. Fantastic interview!
28:20 my mom says that all the time. She swears chicken back then (50+ years ago) was so flavorful, you could just boil a whole chicken and you'd have this rich, flavorful stock without adding even salt. Now she puts salt, spices, sometimes MSG, or else the stock is straight up water.
I remember great chicken as a child. We raised our own. Visiting in Ireland in early 70’s, the chicken was wonderful. Would see them in yard in the morning and ate for dinner. Great memories.
Awesome video!!!
Great listening to you. Thanks
