    One thing I do that differs from your perspective is that I will trade away prospects who cant find a spot on the big league roster. I cap my AAA at a 72 max overall. If a prospect hits that 69-72 range and is older than 24 then i would trade them away for a younger prospect who will be ready to hit their prime later when there is a spot available.
    I would rather not see their progression take a hit and get more value for them being on the younger side as opposed to letting them age in the minors. Plus it is fun to see what kind of career they have when they're given a chance elsewhere.
    I will, however, keep some fringe depth in case of injuries. Basically, 1SP, 2RP, 1C, 1/2IN, 1/2OF. Everyone else in the minors are about maximizing progression

    I haven’t seen progression show down unless u like have player in aaa then move them to aa… like I keep my A potentials in single A for as long as I can idc if they’re almost an 80

    GREAT VIDEO! Do the coaches you have matter at all for progression? I would be usering the MLB team and let the CPU do the farm system teams. If coaches do matter, what attribute + is the most important to look for and which coaches will matter the most for my teams developement?

    Thanks for all this info bro. I’m a DD player now after being a RTTS player, but I grinded the content out and went to play franchise now.
    Do you know how to increase your budget to sign free agents during spring training?
    Also what exactly does the sponsor money do?

    I have a question what does it mean when I go to Attributes and the arrows are red and going down in MLB and AAA?

    • @JacobReid
      @JacobReid  Před rokem

      Red arrows mean a players stats are going down or “regressing.” Green mean the stats are going up or progressing

    • @juliomendez102
      @juliomendez102 Před rokem

      O ok. So what do I do keep or trade them? I just started that season played 5 games and they stats on red going down

      @@juliomendez102 they’ll go up and down based on their performance or age. If they’re a good player you can just ride it out and hope it goes back up. If they’re old there’s nothing you can do but ride it out or trade them

      The MLB players that I'm talking about they 27 and up. But they AAA players are only 19 and 20 YRS old

      @@juliomendez102 they should bounce back

    The attribute I look at the most regardless of OVR is Contact.
    Anything below 50 contact is A ball unless power is 60+
    Between 50-60 contact AA
    60+ contact AAA or MLB
    For more defensive players I go by overall & need at the position similar to what you said in the vid

    • @JacobReid
      @JacobReid  Před rokem +2

      Really good point. I feel like vision is also pretty important for prospects to bat well on their own

    • @lilai2.036
      @lilai2.036 Před rokem

      @@JacobReid I agree. Vision and discipline are great when a player has any one of the 2. If they have both even better

      Also "Clutch" is a thing most overlook. It's something I look at right away.. it shows how well they hit with runners in scoring position..i always make sure high clutch ratings hit 2-6 in the lineup
