Arrma Vendetta 3s Speed Run with 28t Pinion Fitted

This is my Arrma Vendetta 3s. The car is running stock electrics.
I have fitted a proper set of Hoons wheels on it rather than use the stock Hoons Elevens just to prevent any ballooning. Both set of tyres are the same diameter. I have also fitted a 28t Pinion.
The last run out, I had a 26t pinion fitted to it, which comes with the Vendetta and is classed at the high speed pinion. On that occasion I got 71 mph.

Since this video, i had fitted a bigger pinion again Paul. I have gone up to 31t. But this is defo the last one lol. Maybe it will hit 80 ?

Tibor, you could probably hit 80mph but you may run out of space on the road. Another idea is to put an onboard camera with pov goggles drone style but that may not work and lead to a bad crash. Would love to see the chase car cam!!

Have fitted a bigger pinion on it now and hopefully get out on sunday, weather permitting, but then that will defo be the last one and i will then put smaller pinion back on it

Im pretty stoked on my infraction that i boosted to 3s with the 3900kv motor and 26t pinion im doing 73mph, going 4s next and hoping to hit 100mph with a castle set up. Also made a 3mm abs plate for the bottom to keep the air from coming in and aligned the wheels to be straight up with no tilt. Wonder if that helps? Maybe

Pretty fast for 3s needs a fair bit of road to wind it up , but I am surprised the electrics can take that kind of Load . 😊
Cheers Mark. I purposely take my time to wind it up in order to try and prevent the esc cutting out. Slow build up. I have not fitted a 31t pinion which will be the last upgrade to be honest and we are hoping to go out on Sunday coming, weather dependant. James and Dunc are out too, trying to hit that 100 mph again

I’m running 4s but lower KV (2650) I think I have more torque than your 3900 on 3s 🤷♂️. I’m Going for a 30t pinion
I hope that car park is long enough it’s the best I got around here . I got 66 on 26t pinion so I’m hoping to crack it over 70.
End of day I can’t expect a truck to be quicker than the little flat race car . But I’m giving it a shot 🤩

I would say 31t, which is what i now have fitted. But havnt run it yet
If the box says 70+ with 26t optional included pinion. Why is it so hard to get or barely get 75mph
Batteries, surface, weather?
I put the 26t in my infraction and I lose traction. A new set of tires might take care of the issue but something tells me I might have another thing or two to sort out. Anyone have any recommendations?
My car is total stock apart from the gearing. I have now fitted 31t but have not run it yet

@tiborvon are you using the stock spur or did you put in a 30t

Everything stock apart from pinion. I think 31t is biggest that will go in with stock spur
On my next run, i will try it with tail fin attached and then with no tail fin attached
