    This movie isn't about just capitalism and socialism.
    It's about what a son can do for his mother.
    Create a fantasy just for protect who loves.
    Nothing can explain the love of a son for his mother. ❤️

    • @NiVi192
      @NiVi192 Před 4 lety

      @@meanE90 Forgive me, how is that possible?! Have you had family in the old GDR? Given that you were already born in 1989, all that changed for you after the GDR people overthrew a dictatorship with nothing but a candle in their hand was your postal code! Excuse me for using clichés, I'd be happy to hear you bear upon the old GDR and hopefully today's East as well, it's just that I've spent many vacations with both young and old West Germans, from Neufriesland, to the Schwarzwald and the Alpenvorland - it's been shocking to realize they usually can't even tell how many new Länder there are, yet alone what NVA means (the problem not being that they don't know but that they couldn't care less)! 🤷🏻‍♀️
      FYI: To answer your question, some people tend to say Goodbye Lenin is nothing but a nostalgic sugarcoated version of GDR reality with all its rituals and symbols whereas I think the young protagonist displays more of an ironic GDR resumé. I mean, the history twist with FRG refugees deciding to abandon capitalism - As he sums up towards the end, the GDR he presents to his mother is a country that never existed but certainly one he would have liked to see grow. That comes with a sad undertone, yet this whole _Lenin waves Goodbye_ scene is so over the top that you'd laugh in tears if the score weren't so moving. So, that's just my point of view. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I'm far from saying GDR nostalgia is nonsense, I was born after 1989 and I feel it sometimes. Afterall, socialist brainwashing wasn't all the country brought about. In fact quite a few GDR concepts would be of great use for the old AND THE CURRENT FRG (children's daycare, training/apprenticeship system, ecological agriculture, systematic social integration of migrant workers, equal pay, sports/arts/science founding)!

      @ladolcevita7661 Před 6 lety

      Mr Leprechaun Compared to members of the Russian Orthodox Church, the Muslims of the Soviet Union were initially given more religious autonomy. This was in contrast to life under the Tsars, when Muslims were suppressed and the Eastern Orthodox Church was the official state religion. On 24 November 1917, weeks after the October revolution, the Bolsheviks issued an appeal to 'All the Muslim Workers of Russia and the East'.[4] Lenin declared;
      Muslims of Russia…all you whose mosques and prayer houses have been destroyed, whose beliefs and customs have been trampled upon by the tsars and oppressors of Russia: your beliefs and practices, your national and cultural institutions are forever free and inviolate. Know that your rights, like those of all the peoples of Russia, are under the mighty protection of the revolution.[5]
      Lenin even oversaw the return of certain religious artifacts such as the Uthman Quran.[5] Furthermore, some principles of Islamic law were instituted alongside the Communist legal system,[5] Jadids and other "Islamic socialists" were given positions of power within the government,[5] and an affirmative action system called "korenizatsiya" (nativisation) was implemented to help local Muslim populations.[5] Friday, the Muslim Sabbath, was declared a legal day of rest throughout Central Asia.[5]
      Hahahahahah lenin only had a problem with regressive fantasist christian cross worship along with death worship nonsensical and illogical communion and the veneration of dead saints and the attribution of miraculous powers to dead bodies and bones lol
