I feel like ppl who are trying to have Ohtani hitting leadoff are a little simple-minded. He was already breaking out of his slump and had a great game hitting 2nd when Mookie got injured. The highest potential for our lineup is when Mookie is at leadoff because he is more patient with his swings and can get on base. It plays perfectly to both of their strengths as Ohtani has the power to just immediately hit in Betts.

The Tigers are not trading Skubal, unless they get a haul of top ranked prospects, which the Dodgers do not have. Think top 20, plus another top 75, and then a couple young lottery tickets. They do not need to trade Skubal, so someone needs to offer enough to make them think it’s worth it to trade a Cy Young candidate.
phillies team are a complete team because the manager puts in the same lineup every game... it doesn't matter if you are facing a lefty or righty you are playing .. Roberts changes the bottom part of the lineup every game reason why those struggling hitters can never get into rhythm

Crochet is on a pitch/innings limit from TJS. He’s currently in unknown territory innings-wise. We don’t know if he will be available late in-season. Kind of like Glasnow.
The Dodgers need to acquire Mason Miller from the A’s for Outman.
Buster did not see the Outman two fake bunt swing in the dirt strikeout the other day.
1. Randy, 2. Skubal, if he's not available or the cost affects getting others, then Crochet, 3. Tanner Scott.
If Skubal won't be available or the cost will affect getting others then focus on Crochet in tandem with Pham (to reinforce the bench).
If Skubal is a no, expand the trade and seek Randy in tandem with Eflin.
If Eflin or Crochet won't be available then seek for Kikuchi in tandem with IKF.
If Randy is a no, then in addition to Pham and IKF, seek Jesse Winker or even Taylor Ward.
If they get Crochet and Eflin or Kikuchi, Tanner might be less urgent.

Interesting the previous two seasons the Dodgers won over 100 plus games and were the wonder team everyone believed would win and almost expected to, but we know what happened. This year not the same thing, but expect them to win their division but SD, SF, and AD seem to own the Dodgers and look forward to playing them first. I hope this really is the wake up call, that this is the first season they’re not expected to coast through the playoffs. On the other hand if they don’t we’ve laid the foundation why they didn’t perform in the playoffs. I’m hoping for the best and the players realize with a lot of veterans they have this year.

A strong hitting coach would have these players adjust their swings and stances Ohtani should bring his hands down and closer to his body for more control instead of trying to crank evey pitch

dodgers need to fix the bottom of the lineup there not winning anything in the playoffs this it and get a ace like starter if possible to many injuries and holes in the roster
Trade for Bichette and JT from the Blue Jays, Flaherty and Chafin from the Tigers, and Nootbaar from the Cardinals.
I love Justin Turner but he’s currently on track for the lowest output in BA, HRs & RBIs in over a decade. He may end up with the highest number of GIDPs in his career (currently at 13 with his high at 16). His OBP remains above average and would be 4th on the Dodgers. He’s only played 5 games this year at 3rd base, where an upgrade is needed.

Been saying for a long time that Dave Roberts needs to go. Shohei ohtani should be batting fourth. They don't care if he's leading off one run who cares if they make a mistake. He's batting forth one or two are on base then they got to pitch him differently. Cuz if you make a mistake then it's not one .nothing. it's possibly two. nothing or three nothing .bass customary is for nothing. Until the other players get off the DL he should be betting forth.
