you gotta start actually trying to control the recoil during your recoil tests. when trying to control the recoil onn this gun it is super jumpy and that strait line recoil when you're just letting it fly is very misleasding. I've done my own tests and the recoil is actually very strange and makes the gun very innacurate compared to other weapons imo
@@bumblebeeman2103 What you're talking about is visual recoil. These wall tests are not misleading at all. They show the impact of recoil between shots, but does not show the recoil while shooting. Testing based on feel is not very scientific and is not how these things should be measured, though it might be good to note so the user is aware of this visual downside.

bigmankay AK has infinite 3 shot kill range if you’re hitting upper torso. That’s about it other than the AK also has crazy fast reload

Ghost Life cause max has less recoil and faster TTK up to about 40m if you’re hitting upper torso which will be the majority of your engagements haha

Me neither but it's too soon. I like to reserve those for shortly before the next CoD is launching and we don't have any info at all about the next CoD yet
Considering how we have zero information on the next CoD, don't be waiting. Modern Warfare changed everything, this single game has made more already than several CoD titles have in their entire lifetimes... put together.
We are about to enter a new age for CoD, expect even the yearly release to be changed.

The only thing I don't like about this gun is that it pretty much outclasses the AK (unless you use 5x45 rounds or at long range). Hopefully they buff the AK's recoil back before the nerf it got in S2.
The AKs mobility is also pretty frickin bad, so if you lean towards attachments for said mobility boosts, you simply lose a lot of accuracy. The AMAX is basically the AK we should’ve had from the start, pretty sad.
The Galil is tuned exactly how the AK should have been originally. It never made any sense for the AK to have great long range damage with a recoil pattern that made it basically unusable beyond 30 or so yards. The only viable AK warzone build was to try and turn the AK into an RPK, at which point you'd be better off just using the superior PKM. The balance changes coming mid season need to include an AK 47 retune. They could literally give it the same damage/range values as the Galil with a different recoil pattern and people would use it.

They also fucked up the first three rounds. Go into game and tap for 3 bullets. 1 bullet almost always flies completely off to the right. Ive got Obsidian AK and all the Masteries done since like, day 4 into the season ? I dont know why they keep messing up the AK. Also pretty sure they nerfed the AKs bullet velocity globally in S4.
The ak and scar are pretty terrible comparing to any other version of the guns except the iw ak which had the slowest rof and ads for rifles
The thing about the 10 round mags for the galil is that in warzone it will still use AR ammo unlike the SKS that uses the less common and less total capacity sniper ammo.
And it's NASTY at almost any range if you're hitting headshots... I'm huge fan of the AMAX.
And its noob friendly fire rate cap
Still with a 10 round mag you’re lucky if you even drop 1 enemy before you have to reload, let alone finish him off. Depends on the distance of course, but if you’re up close you might as well just use the standard ammo type or a different gun anyway. Imo neither DMRs or the AMAX with 10 round mags are worth using in BR, I do like using the SKS in Plunder though.

I like this gun mostly because it’s something different from my usual rotation. I need that spice in my life man! I’m tired of having to sweat to keep up with the sweats.

It’s honestly a sweat gun tbh, it has a decent ads time, a 3 shot kill, good range with like no recoil, and a faster fire rate than the scar or ak. This pretty much dominates medium to long range now and it can even be good at cqc

Nah power creep doesn’t really matter in a cod game
Honestly, this is what the base AK should have been, imo. This shoots faster, has less recoil, and handles better than the AK. It's just about an all around upgrade to the base AK. The only way the AK could be better is with 5.54 rounds, but I find that I either have similar recoil to the Galil, or I have similar handling. Never both.
Still love the ak but I die before I get a shot off and if I shoot first they just turn around and melt me with the fennec.

would you think that? they don't manage to nerf the grau which is all you see in warzone either, even if it's been ages since season 4, they probably have a team of 2 or 3 skeletons working on that shit while most effort goes into new shop bundles

Infinityward games have always had the worst weapon balancing. CoD4 had the M16, MW2 had the UMP45, MW3 had assasin pro, Infinite Warfare had the NV4 Flatline. What makes MW any different?

I don't mind. It gives the people who do the research and care to learn about the game an extra edge. It might even be intentionally for that.

EDIT 2: On 6/17/21, the AMAX also got a torso damage nerf down to 39/34. Might affect you if you’re mixing torso and body shots together…

(EDIT: Dillon C does make a good point! The M67 rounds, like the SOCOM M4 rounds, will take AR ammo in Warzone instead of Sniper ammo! This is highly worth looking into in Warzone if you want to use the SKS/EBR but have a sniper on your team and/or don’t want to be conservative with shors!)

For the M67 rounds, they actually count as AR rounds in Warzone. Definitely run them on this rifle since sniper ammo is much less common if you run the SKS or EBR.
It would be amazing if CoD would put the percent changes attachments have next to the pros and cons (ex. +Range 35% -ADS 15%)
I dunno. I too was thinking this watching the video, but would then setting up your gun become a dry maths exercise, creeping into RPG territory. I think it's maybe best that you have to try out the different attachments and see how they feel.
In the beta didn’t they used to have multiple + signs if it was a bigger increase. For example tactical suppressor would say - for ADs but monolithic suppressor would say - - for ads.
@@SirBigSwingalot Personally, this would be a worse solution in choosing weapons and attachments because it would end up with me finding one attachment/gun I like, and not wanting to try something else.
It helps with some stats to go off of when picking your loadout, espesially when you can save some/a lot of time while doing so. And also, it can give a clearer understanding in how the attachments/weapons work, instead of relying on personal testing.

This weapon's stats really highlights the impressive damage of the AK 47. With the AK, a single chest hit at any range will permit a 3 shot kill even if the other 2 are limb hits, not to mention a 51 damage headshot at any range. With the right attachments, i find the AK recoil easier to manage.
the ak is good if you start at the belly and the bullets walk up to head with the recoil
I had a similar issue, the recoil on the cr is pretty bad considering the fire rate as will, try kitting with full recoil control the ads is not that bad and it turns into a laser beam. Compensator, rubber grip, zodiac, and merc forgrip its all or nothing lol
Love your videos. The only thing that I wish you would do, is when you do an example class, could you show the recoil pattern, and the ads speed so we know how all the attachments combined change the stats.

Have you considered doing a quick overview of the weapons you've already covered post buff/nerf? Like a quick update for what's changed on each?
"Not a fan of the base Iron sights" but they're so open, I think they really help you out a lot visually, it's not as crowded as most iron sights.
I agree! Save the slot for another attachment
Visual kick makes iron sight unplayable on this gun, often you won't be able to do needed micro adjustments and even fail to notice enemy going prone fast enough. Dotted sight is not much better because it is hard to see the dot due to visual kick. A holo sight is a must on this gun, e.g: corp combat or 4.0, no matter how strong visual kick is, you can still clearly see the crosshair and align it with opponent. And if you unlock less obstruction reticle, it's even better. I played a lot with this gun and I could feel massive difference on switching to holo, accuracy and consistency improved by a lot.

Think of it as like in real life, the Galil Ace is just a modern improved version of the AK.
Voor Achter Unless you have the 5.45x39mm ammo conversion. That makes the AK better than the Galil. The Galil has a 186 ms ttk while the 5.45x39mm AK has a 181 ms ttk.

As far as the real kickers go, I always just go with the AK or the Galil. Never been a big fan of the Oden to be honest. Not that it’s bad though.
Regarding the Exo stock: +17% increase to the 47.5% base ads strafe speed or is it now 64.5%?

so the calculation is 47.5*1.17=55.575

I would rather hear the final speed instead of the multiplier, since it could be missleading for some people, and there is much better comparability with other guns then. I think it is not that much time consuming of a calculation to not mention it in the video. And while speaking about this, I'd like to ask.... Whenever you mention some attachment decreases or increases "overal" moovement speed... Does that include ADS strafe spead aswell? (or just sprint, tactical sprint, and strafe walking). Thank you

I used to use SCAR and I loved it, then I changed to Oden and loved it even more (still my favourite weapon), now I'm playing the AK and I'm having a lot of fun. I can't wait to try out the AMAX and I don't think I'll soon be changing to 5.56, I just love the feeling of power that comes with higher calibres.
This gun is great, funny how no one uses it because it has recoil, unlike the M4 and Grau.
Compensator and a grip completely get rid of the recoil
I think the reason others are using it is because it's a new weapon. I'm sure in S5 and S6 it'll be more common than the AK, but not by much.

I started to really like this gun it's nice to drop people that use the grau and show them that their bang average, let's be honest if you use the grau you are terribke and the guns getting a nerf soon as well so happy days it'll just prove how bang average they are

I feel like the 7.62 M67 is how the .458 SOCOM should have been for the M4.
It's kinda funny how a frangible 7.62x39 round can do more damage then a .458 monster. BALANCE
@@nathanielyoungman4454 Right? It's kind of ridiculous. Thought this have was supposed to be slightly realistic, then again if that were the case the AX-50 and HDR should be one shot kills anywhere since a 50 caliber round and 12.7mm round (respectively) would blow a limb off
Moriyama Miyako ... why would they buff the damage on one of the highest damage full auto guns in game? Being a socom fanatic, I’m definitely in agreement that it could use a mag size buff but that’s really it. It 3 shots anywhere to the body at any range, and has very little to no recoil. I run 12.4” predator, socom mags, commando foregrip, sleight of hand and no stock and end up with faster ads/handling than any competitive AR setup, better damage at range and a gun that can 2 shot with just a single headshot thrown into the mix. If they buffed damage it’d be even more broken than it already is.
@Moriyama Miyako no because it would be way too op in warzone. Socom rounds right now are very strong. Mix it with stopping power and it's the best weapon in call of duty history. So by buffing it to 15 or 20 bullets and buffing it's damage and range would make it way too overpowered.
Moriyama Miyako make it have a short range in real life so make it for cqc and add 762 by 51 for a dome build

The Amax is my current favorite in WarZone. I’m comfortable at longer ranges with it even if the Grau and M4 are a bit more accurate but mid to close range this thing is a monster

I love this in Warzone. It might not quite beat the Grau when it comes to extreme range accuracy, but it's a lot of fun and very good if you can aim high.Chest and head shots lead to insanely fast time to kill.

I already think it’s better. The grau gets beaten out close to mid range to the m4. This gun does not.
Grau is better if you're a worse player because it's more forgiving with no recoil, but if you're confident in hitting your shots the higher damage ARs will beat it every time because of a lower ttk.
Only trouble I have with the grau is in warzone when you get lasered from across the map.
Faster ttk and similar range. If you've got decent accuracy it's already better
DMR AMAX is one of the best things in Warzone right now
Truth, how did he not mention the potential for DMR AMAX using assault rifle ammo pool instead of the much smaller sniper ammo pool?
@@aduckbyanyname1 I've watched all of his videos, but am starting to feel like he concentrates too much on weapon stats for mp. He should give more detail about the guns in warzone. Like Jgod does. Like ttk. These vids are just too mp focused.
Agreed the 210 ammo pool negates all the DMRs. The ability to poke out other teams is just too good. I'm trying to convince all my friends they need to unlock and get gud with it because a whole team of these focusing targets is scary
The AMAX's ammo counts as AR ammo in Warzone too, so it even obsoletes the SKS and EBR in terms of ammo capacity.

Really looking forward to unlocking this gun. I looked at my weapon stats earlier, and was surprised to see the gun I have the best KDR with is the AK. By a lot. The AMAX may well end up being my main AR. Especially when the Grau gets nerfed.
I personally use the 8.3" barrel because I really like the iron sights. You can still map people, especially if you mount, but i do run Merc Foregrip when i use it, taking up an extra attachment slot.

Your second class setup is almost exactly what I'm running with this gun. Change out the stim shot for heartbeat. I like this gun a lot. Good power, range, and controllable recoil. What's not to like? That zodiac barrel ADS makes it feel like an LMG. I'm glad I'm not the only one running the original barrel!
Ace, in the squall barrel the bars are the exact same as the standard barrel, not the stated 10% reduction.
The stats bars are completely inaccurate. Ace tests this information thoroughly, so if he says it reduces damage range by 10%, it's reduced by 10%.
Stats bars are and always have been meaningless in CoD

The CR56 is my favourite gun they’ve brought to the game. I love high damage AR’s, but couldn’t compete using the scar or AK47. This gun competes big time. Love it

Excellent gun. Very good in warzone, I used as a long range weapon with the VLK scope and the AUG as my secondary for CQC. Got a W fairly early with it. Very rewarding.

It’s a very beautiful modernized version of it although the classic Galil is great, too. I don’t doubt that we might see it in a form of a blueprint because I’m sure IW is aware of all the players who loved the Galil back in the original Black Ops.

i got the fennec gold within the first week of the season but this gun i went ham at first and after that it just felt weak

Class setup for public matches that competes with the M4:
Zodiac barrel, compensator, no stock, stippled wrap, commando grip (can be swapped for tac laser for even faster ADS, or for extended mags if you need em)
the galil kicks ass so much in this game ive made 3 variants of this gun. A CQB, standard and a sniping version. the ads on this gun is so fast for an ar.
This gun needs selective fire. I guess they forgot to add this function.

Just got both the new guns damascus yesterday. This one shreds for sure.
Yup i have all the master icons and 3 of the 4 mastery calling card for it. Once you get a handle on the recoil this thing can dumpster people.
I LOVE this gun. It's like a hybrid between the AK and the Kilo. My favorite attachment combo is the Zodiac Barrel + APX5 Holo + 5MW laser + Stippled Wrap + EXO Stock. This combo works great for me at pretty much all ranges. You get great speed, improved recoil, extended range, and can see at a slightly further distance. I recommend anyone who likes this gun to try it, or at least a similar combo.

Been using this gun a lot in MP and Warzone. My MP build hasn’t translated as well to warzone so I’m messing around with builds. I’m going to try the first build you outlined. It’s similar to my guild but different enough. Once the Grau catches a nerf I think the amax will rise up more. It still loses at longer ranges due to its slow bullets. But it’s a beast. I think close to medium it shines. Thanks for more content.

I run the mono suppressor, zodiac barrel, ranger foregrip, 45 round mags, and the gatekeeper stock. It works incredibly in pretty much everything I've played

Monolithic, stipped grip, merc foregrip, extended mags and intruder barrel is seriously underrated. Got a few chopper Gunners with this set up
For running and gunning my favorite build is no stock, zodiac, stripped grip, tact fore grip, tac laser. Feels great for multiplayer
Tac foregrip? Why? It only helps with stability (idle sway), if you are running and gunning, go for the merc, it helps with hip fire

I love it. I tend to like the bigger caliber guns but they definitely don't play as well against people beaming you with 5.56. I picked this thing up and immediately felt like it was a lighter better s.c.a.r

This gun shreds! However I've noticed that sometimes when I go to ADS my gun comes up like 4 or 5 feet above where I'm centered..not sure what that's all about. Only noticed it with the Ghalil
