Not sure how much you've played VR, but I have TONS of suggestions with full games with stories and characters. The graphics are not gonna be on par with Alyx, but there are TONS of fantastic games.
I have played well over 1000 hours in vr. If you have any suggestions I would be happy to look into them. For me visuals aren't the most important thing. Give me a title with an amazing gameplay look and I am sold. Hell sweeper is one example of a gameplay loop I really enjoy.
Could you name 3? Because that's whats been holding me back from buying VR. I feel like 90% of the games are just shooting galleries vs a game with a campaign.
@@SuperPowerButton I mean even before Half Life Alyx was released, there was a lot. 2 in particular were Lone Echo and Stormland. Lone Echo also got a sequel. Vertigo is also a great game. Vertigo 2, I'd say is an even better Half Life game than Half Life Alyx in many, many ways.
With a lot of titles it seems like arenas are main objective. Alyx and boneworks set the bar too high in terms of quality. We need more tripple a devs jumping onto experiment with vr.
@@RXVR boneworks and bonelab do a bare minimum. Tech demo type games. Mechanics are solid, game that they built around them is painfully mid. If I should watch the story on 4 hour CZcams essay separately you don't have a story. That's why noone bothers to do novr mod for boneworks. Cause it would be even more boring without vr. Bonelab disappointed the most. All these new changing body mechanics just to use it like for 10 minutes in the level they are made for and then back to sleepwalking, killing helpless zombies and drones. Sucks that capcom suckled up to Sony. No vr releases on PC. Re7 and 8 would be welcome to revisit in vr. Tried the flat to vr mods, kinda junky when I tried them.
I found boneworks with its campaign and side content to be really enjoyable. What stress level zero delivered was nothing short but amazing. I recently did a video on boneworks which you checkout my full opinion on it. Bonelab for me was a let down due to it mainly being about displaying what the new avatars were capable of. At the end of the day vr has a lot of titles that fall short due to development costs and how small the player base is compared to flat gaming. Till it grows more we will only see a few titles.
This is true many games(that aren't in top 10-20 VR games) I bought I can't even refund or get past first 20 minutes of the game due to a bug ;(.. But Alyx looks good and Beat saber/Rick and Morty is fun :D. I would imagine that it's hard to develop stable VR games. Hope that"cheap" 4k VR light headsets comes in the near future :p.
You can say the same about games in general. Most games released are terrible. Especially on steam. So much trash. However, just because most of them are bad, doesn't mean there aren't also a BUNCH of fantastic games available.

I've got 270 hours of HLA, still play it every week, by far the best VR game of all time
Its too bad L.A.Noire Vr was garbage. A VR detective game would be great.
They really need to do another version with improvements. Imo They could have made something great.
