- received this custom today from jose montero in spain and this is a quick look at the frame and the differences between the spanish and uk slingshots.
and of course a few shots with this new catapult!

I have one myself and have gone to see José Vela personally. Aren't his slingshots beautiful? I am really impressed by his craftsmanship and his philosophy. I am very happy that the love is spreading beyond our borders.
I think they are neat, but I also think they should be a different class for any slingshot that has front and rear sites. I know not everyone feels this way.

Hello, I just discovered the world of slingshots two days ago and I'm fascinated. I subscribed to your channel. I would like to purchase my first slingshot and I don't know what to get. My heart is with the GZK TTF Hammer Pro or the Crazy Power TTF Mini. They are both so beautiful. Then I saw this video and I said... what??? Yes, I too discovered that the Spanish beat the Chinese in the last world competition but, my goodness, these Spanish slingshots are weird looking, perhaps even, ugly? Still, if the Spanish slingshots are the way to go maybe I should forgo the Chinese slingshots and start off with a Spanish slingshot. This way I wouldn't know any better. What would you suggest? Thank you.

The models you mentioned are ttf whereas a Spanish frame classes as ott so will not only require a different shooting technique being spanish but also is different to ttf in general.
I'd reccomend trying a wasp uniphoxx which can be banded both ttf and ott to try it out and go from there. Spanish frames are really good tournament shooters without doubt
@@keithdighton Thank you for your help and suggestion. I live in NYC and there are not many places for me to shoot a slingshot so I doubt I will ever be a competitive shooter. It's interesting being in my position though having to decide which route I want to go. I will check out the Wasp Uniphoxx. 👍🏻
davidhunternyc a Spanish tournament slingshot is really expensive. You should probably start with solid but cheaper frame, like the recommended wasp. Or check out simple shot from Nathan Masters

I can appreciate the workmanship that goes into making this product but I cannot help feeling like it is cheating when using such an elaborate slingshot. Take the sight off and then talk to me. I can almost guarantee that will not be allowed at the Olympics if we ever get there.
