I’m fascinated so many people like to play this game I myself watch this a lot as when I was young I use the sling shot to survive when I’m hungry to steal fruit on on people fruit trees. I’m one of you fan .
I’ve got a fair collection of catty’s which I don’t shoot. Looking here, even 10m is tough to be accurate enough to confidently hunt to kill to ensure you don’t injure an animal to die slowly in pain. Very interesting video, great to see those youngsters away from their electronic ‘devices’. I may get my daughter (9) to have a go with me.

Good shot, good shot, bit lower,great shots spoils it.would not be allowed in any other tournaments .
i totally agree, england is the only country that does this which is a shame. every international tournement ive been to give you the courtesy of silence. that said i think because of this it makes english shooters better than most other countries with nerves

Smashing video Keith it's great to see men and women and the younger generation shooting in these comps every comp I see the level of shooting is coming on leaps and bounds I reckon there's a future cscc champ in there in the near future 😃👍
The competition scene is blowing up to be honest. All ages all races and men and women all shooting to a ridiculously high standard.
It's only going to get bigger aswell1
@@keithdighton totally I think right at this point the sky is the limit so to say for catty comps in this country its amazing and its only going to get better I can't wait to see a UK shooter take first place in the cscc that would be something else entirely next step taking it to the Olympics and give this sport the recognition it deserves so the general public can recognise it as the skill it truly is👍
@@auldreekievaper5394 The event we have coming up in march is going to blow everyone away. its the biggest event thats ever been held outside the world cup
Nothing worse that shooting and having somebody tell you too high too low. Very annoying when trying to concentrate.

Want to try it!! What size ammo and rubber thickness do most use? Or do all have to use the same size ammo and band thickness?

Great event but a real shame about the bad language in front of kids not a good example or representation of a good sport.
I completely agree gary. Unfortunately I have no control over what language other people use but whole heartedly agree it is not very good
@@keithdighton perhaps if people who take part in competition were informed that the sport was moving on and upwards and that it was seen on you tube and it would be appreciated if they would consider being aware of their language for the good of the sport ?
I am on the committee of the ESF and every event we put on we do not allow the use of bad langauge as it results in point deduction and potential disqualification.
As this was a private event by a non federation they run it how they saw fit.
Like you said it is definitely a shame as there are kids around.
I would not allow it personally

This particular comp was, the bigger comps are normally ten and twenty meter
I think you had a slight miss edit on the can cut winner there, Keith 😀. I just spotted it now. Good video, and as others have stated it is a shame about the language used in the video by a few.

Why aren't the women and the men competing against each other?
Because women and men have different categories:)
@@keithdighton I understand there are different categories but why are there different categories? I'm sure women shoot just as good as men even though there are fewer women competitors.
Unfortunately nothing can be further from the truth which is a shame. There are not that many women who compete and there is a world of difference in the skill levels between men and women in the uk.
I'm sure one day we will have an equal playing field but until more women take the sport seriously it's going to take time.
