      @@charityfields3075 yes walking will definitely put you on the right track. I’m truly amazed at how the weight is basically falling off. To the point now I’m losing 1-2 pounds per day and had to buy new clothes. But I have to be completely honest, I slowly cut out all breads, pasta, sugary drinks and junk food. I used to have one good cheat meal a month, but I cut that out because I no longer like the taste of those foods. I was already big and when Covid hit I gained so much more weight I was shamed of myself for treating my body so badly. I’m 5’9 and stood on the scale and was 411lbs, I almost passed out when I saw that number! That made me start walking. This morning I was 297 and couldn’t stop smiling because I’m finally out of the 300’s…people are even treating me differently, specially men…but that’s a whole other story lol….It’s a slow process but consistency is key, and with that your baby weight will be gone in no time. 💛

    I think walking is a better form of exercise than many other workout routines for the sole reason it is much easier to stick to. Many people give up extreme weight lifting or cardio routines but it’s very easy to make walking a long term habit. I think this is also one reason why America is so overweight, because other countries are much more pedestrian friendly and people get more steps in. All those steps add up over time.

    What works for me is walking to and from work while taking public transport. My workplace is 30 minutes away from the nearest bus stop and my house is 10 minutes away from a bus stop. The journey takes 10 minutes by bus. Therefore by doing this 3 times a week I get 240 minutes (5 hours) of walking a week. I’ve been doing this for a few weeks and I noticed I did lose a little and want to continue doing this because the bus stop is right next to the supermarket meaning I can pick up a drink before the bus arrives, and also I don’t like taking the car because it can be stressful when you’ve not woken up fully yet.
    Another big factor for me was I was told my ALT levels were 137 which is 4 times higher than normal. Turns out I had EBV and my body is suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and the best way to combat both is to exercise more and get more sleep. I haven’t overly changed my diet either, because I’m not eating unhealthy. I try to have a good amount of protein and fats and some fibre. The carbs come in anyway but I’m conscious about the first three.
    I’m someone who needs purpose when doing something otherwise I’ll give it up. By walking to work I’ll keep to it for sure. I’ll be heading back to college soon so I’ll probably walk there too since I’m about 30 minutes away and then walk to the nearest fast food for a wrap of the day since that’s another 20 minute walk. I also live in a very unflat area so walking is an intense exercise every time. I hope to get to a weight of 11 stone by the end of the year. I’m currently 12.9 stone. Let’s see how it goes.

      I honestly was that same way…ended a 20 year relationship and was depressed honestly. But after months I just decided enough was enough. Started walking to clear my head /especially first thing in the morning/fresh air/pretty quiet out…gives yourself just time to refresh and charge for the day. That was 4 years past now…was up to almost 240…now down to 213, so much less stress, feel great , even on so not so great days still go do it… it honestly will clear your head/mind and great for you. DO IT FOR YOURSELF,YOUR OVERALL HEALTH MIND BODY & SPIRIT…God Bless 😇🙏

    Does walking allow the skin regain elasticity while slowly losing weight? Is it better than fast weight loss because excercises like jogging?

    • @lazerlightening
      @lazerlightening Před rokem +1

      I'm afraid not. But strength training will help a lot! Building muscle will tighten the skin. I work out at home with 10lbs dumbbells working alongside 30 minute videos on CZcams. Started in 12/22 and have seen a big change to my once very jiggly legs and arms haha.

    My weight is 91KGS.
    I use to Walk every day one hour, with 4.5 Km/h. After my 2 Hours Mixing activities. I will Chek my Total calories burned. Every time I am confused because for 1 Hour walk with 4.5 KM/h My Smart watch showing only 90 Kcal. As per my knowledge I should suppose to burn more Calories. Is smart watch can show accurate results or not ???
    Plz can you anybody clarify my doubt.
    I use to do every day 35 Minutes Outdoor Cycling, immediate I will walk one hour, Other exercises for 20 Minutes. Total Duration of my activities are nearly 2 Hours every day. What I disappoint is finally when I Chek my smart watch it’s shows not more than 250 Calories which is very demotivating me that I burned very lesser Calories even though my 2 hour activity.
    Plz any body can help me & answer why those smart watch showing very lesser calories burned.

    There is no way that walking 1.6 km burns 100 calories. If that were the case, I'd be dead by now. On a daily basis, I walk no less that 11 km at a rate of 6.2 km/hr., but I only consume an average of 1440 calories each day. I've been doing this for 5 months now, and I'm losing about 2.2 pounds (1 kg) per week. According to an online calculator I found, at the rate in which I walk, I'm burning around 590 calories. This works out to around 54 calories per kilometre.

    I have found people are lazy or they mosey when they walk very slow there’s one woman at work thank God that is normal that is dependable that I can walk with, but I walked with my friend yesterday at the mall because of course, in Massachusetts it had to be freezing and raining out she walked so slow and I set my timer for 30 minutes. We barely made 30 minutes so it’s very difficult to find a normal walking body. You know outside of work I’m trying, but I can only depend on myself. Sometimes I wish they were walking groups around here course not
